I think skin tints are really similar to beauty balms, which I've used for at least 10 years now. Beauty balms (& skin tints) usually look much more natural than foundation, so then all you need is a little more of it on more visible flaws, or a concealer that matches really well can be used on flaws. I use Dream BB Fresh tinted cream (Maybelline - good color match for me) & then use a little Josie Maran Argan Creamy Concealer Crayon over the BB cream on my undereye circles. Don't over-do concealer though - it can get into smile lines if over-applied - just apply lightly! Then use a cream blush & blend well on cheeks & also a bit on forehead, nose, chin & eyelids, then apply spf lip balm & natural-looking lipstick/lip gloss & dark brown mascara (& dk brown liner). This is the natural California look that's really looks best with a lot of women, especially us mid-age to older gals - and that's regardless of most skintones. The only difference with richer skintones is that the mascara & liner should be black, not dark brown. And red lipstick should be used only for special occasions, in my honest opinion! The Chantecaille skin tint looks a lot like an American brand of tinted beauty balm I use, but it looks like it might be a lighter texture? And the Murad concealer looks a bit like my Josie Maran Concealer Crayon, but my concealer is creamier than the Murad, so should I use setting powder on my concealer if I'm a semi-youthful 58 years old? I only have smile lines under my eyes & small lines on my forehead, thanks to semi-oily skin & lots of spf, but I see a lot of make-up artists using setting powders. Should 50-something women use them too? A bit confused here! Merci pour votre avis! And thanks for anyone's advice!
