  • Just testing my bass in passive mode, It sounds really 'vintage" and Natural/organic, I was looking for this, so I can have completely different tones among all my basses.
I was also testing the light, and it seems pretty cool.
Thanks to "Lordy" for playing with me!

Baptiste.V Do not worry, I do not mean to stop posting videos, I just had no free time and I confess was also uninspired, but I keep playing bass, whenever something inspires me I'll post here on this channel. thanks for the support!

Hey man, great to see you posting videos again. Please keep it up. I've been watching you for a few years, you put out great stuff. You ever think about doing paid requests? There's a lot of songs you'd be awesome at.

Technicolorslave This is not a bad idea, I think it might happen if some people have an interest in this and if the songs requested are compatible with my playing style, I just hope this does not displease other people on my channel.
      Thanks for the sugestion!

Finally someone playing bass that sounds like a bass rather than a clanky weak bass.

Hi Valter I think you are one of the most inspirational players on youtube, can I ask a favour, I'm also a bass player and I want to start uploading up my own vids, here's the problem I'm not very computer literate, so I've purchased a pair of s/h Krk v4 speakers and have the Alesis io2 and camcorder, I just would love to see a tutorial on how and what the full process is from recording the visual and sound joining the two together and whatever else you do to make these fantastic uploads. hope you can one day show us lot that want to but can't. many thanks rob from the UK.

I bought that bass 2 months ago but it felt awkward to me maybe because I haven't played in a while I remembered Marcus Miller 5 seemed easier to play end up trading it in for the P-Bass put Labella flat wounds on and playing old Motown stuff on it. I like your Mtd I used to own Tobias 4 string loved that bass but neck through body I couldn't get that Fender sound when it came to slapping.

Khalid El Yes, I understand what you mean, I'm still learning to get the best tone of this bass, these strings are the originals, so I need to test this fender with new strings, btw the Tobias is easier to get the tone that I want because I play in that instrument since I started playing bass, but they are both great instruments, for sure.
      Thanks for watching!

Que linha de baixo top. Muito sutil e preenche muito bem a música.
Quero estudar as linhas de Acid Jazz. Se puder contribuir, será uma honra escutar seu trabalho.

Ok D'addario Pro steels. I though it was flatwound out of the box set. Your JB Deluxe sounds like a PBass ...

    • @ValterKabas
      @ValterKabas  5 років тому

Yes, I tried the Ernieball flatwounds and also loved it, but the roundwound strings give me more punch, attack...
It was sounding like a pbass because I was using just the neck pickup 😉
      Thanks for watching!

@@ValterKabas Yeah ! Obvious once said. I've the same bass ('97) But Suhr Pickups won't give the same color of sound.
Thanks for your reply and keep grooving like that !
