His new songs are more Jam Oriented rather than Production oriented. He was a producer who performed his own tracks, but now he's a performer who produces his tracks.
Well, kinda using loops to keep a steady song, and performing comes afterwards (solos and such). I agree that his workflow is probably more improv oriented, and then he makes his backing tracks
Idk if I agree, the sections he performs here don't seem to take the attention more than what I'm used to from his earlier work that I know. Other performers tend to have TONS of variety in just the aspects they perform while this is very balanced
@@Mubu5Reborn Production oriented is having so many breaks, fills, intricacies and delicacies you wouldn't achieve without lots of editing, clicking and automating in the DAW, where you can't perform or recreate them live.
Tomás Jonsson at 1:15? Nah both hands are in sync, you sure that’s the time stamp you’re looking at? I play keys too but I highly doubt Wyre would ever need to dub anything in his life tbh
wtf he changed key like several times throughout that instead of expecting a certain part to play over again, he changed it up to be a little off giving it a nice twist on what to expect, this is one hell of an artist.
So refreshing to hear these types of heavily smashed sounds with improv and melody instead of the typical copy/paste sounding sequences we've been hit over the head with for the past decade.
today i was pretty discouraged about doing music seriously because of various things, but this video reminded of how much fun music is supposed to be. Cant wait to see this dude in Seattle.
Randomly got showed this by Spotify recently and have been listening to it a lot! Found out there was a video version and I LOVE IT! The love touches brighten this track up even more than I expected, definitely a new favorite.
@@_Killkor It's crazy how much he (as in, his experience, but also style) has developed and evolved. Been following him for about 9 years now, and he still manages to find ways to surprise me. What a legend.
Coming back to this track again, I have to say that Haywyre is the artist that introduced me to jazz. While I have found a plethora of other talented jazz artists, none have encroached on Haywyre's unique slice of jazz fusion. I remember listening to the album The Voyage when I was a freshman in high-school. My life has been flipped upside-down a number of times since then, but my musical tastes always rebounded with Haywyre in some capacity. I remember falling in love with Voice of Reason from Two Fold Pt. 1; and becoming fixated on Transient from Two Fold Pt. 2. I remember listening to Everchanging on repeat when I was feeling melancholic, or sad, or simply numb. I remember discovering older albums like Of Mellows And Revelations and thinking "this is weird," but still listening to them religiously. And seeing the live performance of Insight made me go apeshit, what an amazing day. And I remember that the first music album I ever bought with my _own_ earned money was Panorama: Discover. Over the years I have developed a parasocial relationship with Haywyre, which as has enabled me to feel an undue entitlement at times. Whenever I felt there was a gap in releases, or that a song didn't resonate particularly strong with me, I imagined it as a betrayal. However, analyses of these instances has yielded a special knowledge to me- something I want to cast into the abyss of the internet, likely to never be read. Haywyre's music was always present when I was suffering the most in my past, or when I was undergoing the greatest transitions. The times when I felt betrayed are almost all within the last 2 years or so, when I stumbled across a calm period in my life with reduced turmoil. The meaning that I attached to each song was something that I ultimately had control over, even if my environment was uncontrollable. Here I am, going over Haywyre's entire discography try to comfort myself--trying to relive a past that is easier compared to today. Here I am, at the foot of new woes and sorrows. Here I am, beginning a different type of transition. I can't wait to see what's next.
