Savannah, your voice has so much power and I am so thankful you are using it to bring light to what goes on in these prisons. It breaks my heart what is going on in there and most people on the outside don't really know what's going on. They just think people deserve punishment, but the punishment is being taken away from society, not to be treated inhumanely. It is a proven fact that when you focus on real rehabilitation that people do not return to prison and become productive in society.

Thank for being a voice for those who have no one!🙏👏👏 Some Officers abuse there authority and abuse the justice system, they are barberic. All employees need to be screened before hiring them. There are rules and inmates have RIGHTS! Officer's can not be allowed to disobey policies. I believe the way to get help is to ask the FBI to investigate all these prisons FEDERAL AND STATE!! There has been investigations by the FBI in different prisons around the United states. It is a fact that wardens and officers have been prosecuted and sent to prison as well. Because of their brutal treatment of inmates. This abuse needs to stop, the criminal justice needs to be investgated and SEVERELY REFORMED!

How would you feel if your child was killed and the person that killed them was living a comfortable, easy life inside, TV, air-conditioning, 3 free meals a day, ect living like they are on a holiday in a 3 or 4 star hotel. @kalebcarr8387 No, I haven't, but that's a question I ask in situations prison related. In my case, it was never about money it was murder, premeditated, and executed. However, in court, everyone was sorry. Six of my family members were murdered in their homes three separate times. My sister-in-law broke up with her boyfriend, and he tried to kill everyone in the house he took out two other houses in the process. He and his friend nailed the doors shut, cut off the water, climbed up to the second floor, and threw cocktails through the window. Everyone made it out except for four, and those fools apologized. When did yall get sorry?

He was fortunate enough to be sent to Bay Correctional (Florida) and he did receive mental health help, drug addiction treatment, ok food, decent treatment but it was prison and as much as it hurt me, he did realize as did I that this was the punishment. I would just like to say that not just the prisoners are suffering for whatever reasons….the families suffer also.

I have many family members that have different problems ie alcohol, drugs, food etc it's not easy. My ex was a alcoholic & I went to Al-Anon for a year after we broke up just to understand his disease. It's a very sad circumstance with Lindsay & Kyle having their parents divorce & then their dad finding Love with someone else & them knowing he didn't Love my mom like he Loves their. I can't even imagine. I know Savanah has the right to feel however she chooses, but as I get older & wiser I really try to put myself in others shoes. Life is hard, Life is messy & in the end we all just want to be Loved & accepted. I don't come from a family of divorce so I don't have a horse in this race & Savanah hasn't come from a family of divorce, so we REALLY don't know what it feels like or how it truly affects u. This WHOLE thing is messy & deserves grace...

The fact that you went and spoke at a convention in front of the same crowd that’s sends hateful, racially charged messages about your niece is despicable. You’ve emboldened those demons and shown her you’re one as well.

I don't understand it because I used to watch A&E biography or some kind of show about prisons an they would show how easy the prisoners had it they had little window air conditioners in their cell and televisions and just all kinds of things that I never knew they could get in prison and now you're telling me that your poor mother doesn't even have any ac in 110 degree building is just I don't know I don't understand that I would check into that with their lawyer sounds like torture

Don’t break the law or go to prison. Simple! What about the other thousand inmates. All inmates complain about everything and anything to get out of prison.

Listen, you are all correct in regard to prison shouldn’t be a cake walk nor is it certainly a country club. However, what everyone needs to remember that each case is not the same. Yes, they may have the same charges and similar indictments but each case is different. We have murders running around free as a bird because they got off on technicality but then you have those who don’t have that in their cases and are sent to prison for life. You get those that just get off for whatever reason and again those that get properly indicted and found guilty and sent to prison and reasonably so. But when you have murders running around free as a bird knowing they are violent and you get people like Todd and Julie who did not commit a violent crime get thrown in prison when I believe that they could have done something else to provide punishment. All of this said it does not matter what your in prison for they should not be treated inhumanly. Yes, A/c is a luxury in the prison world. But, being given food with mold and not providing proper health needs is inhumane, period! I know someone in prison and it’s all very true and he’s NOT a career criminal. So, if you don’t want to listen to all the work Savannah is doing to help her parents then get off the channel. Savannah, I wish your mom and dad all the best and hope that everything works out well. We love the Chrisley Knows Best show. Watch it daily just because it makes me laugh. Your mom and dad had and do have good family values! Take care of yourself! ❤

The air went out in our facility for three months in maximum security and they gave "0" hecks. It took grand jury to come around for them to fix..when grand jury comes around they do a "walk through "of the facilities and they go all out cleaning feed right and fixing air just for that week or two then goes back to it's normal b.s .. luckily the ac stayed on but it's never set under 80 so still humid and hot 🥵. Those days are forever stained into my memory.. being locked in a 4 feet by 10 foot concrete box with a metal door with the flap always closed the vents in which air come out in filled with rats and molds stench is so bad most inmates clogged their vents and chose to suffer through the heat instead of having their rooms smell like rotten dead rats everyday for years straight never ending.

Ear plugs and books is a must but most of all your Bible because those cells bring out everything in you..they truly break the innocent there. Trauma lasting the rest of their life . Leaving a distrust in the legal system from the bottom to the top

It breaks my heart to hear all that your precious parents and others are going through. You are completely right that this is so wrong. Just because you are prisoner doesn’t give others the right to make your life a misery. The sad thing treating people like this does no good for the prisoners, and society as you have stated as it does not allow for rehabilitation or to see kindness and people having faith in them.

Tbh I believe in the old school version of “hard time,” as far as digging a garden, growing their own food, making license plates, doing laundry, etc. But for Pete’s sake…some cold water and a decent meal should be mandatory. Food poisoning on the daily?! That’s horrible! Then no day rooms or common areas for the prisoners with at least a 76 - 80 degree temp? That’s ridiculous. And deliberately cruel. I feel so bad for the Veteran who wrote in. 😢 No windows on the bus?! No way of air or exit if there’s a car wreck?

Savannah, you keep kicking ass and taking names. A person is smart, but people are stupid. Don’t waste your time on those who don’t get your drive and your focus. You’re doing what’s best for your family and as a result you’ve discovered a need and you’re not turning away. You’ve pivoted and taken that on too. God is with you and my prayers are with you. Keep your chin up. ♥️
