@@pelphrey I'm slightly ashamed I watched this whole video and I'm highly disappointed I didn't get to see you peel out in these upgraded cars! Come on man!
Where should the brake/stop/run switch be slid to make it run? I see the switch on mine and know that you have to slide it to change between the three but it dosent actually have it labeled on the switch to let me know which way to slide it to the run setting.
I am having issues with the RioRand 7-70V PWM DC Motor Speed Controller Switch. It keeps blowing the internal fuse regardless where the dial is turned. I tried to measure the volts when only battery is connected to the input and then measured the motor terminals with the dial in different places and found at the dial at the lowest setting reads the same voltage as the battery (12.87) and when I truned the dieal to increase the voltage the meter reading showed a slightly lower reading (12.80). I am using a 12v 12ah battery and using 12 awg wires for my connections. I am either doing something wrong or the controller switch is defected.
I actually just replaced the motor in the pink car, not sure but it stopped working also. I bought two this time to have a spare so I can swap it out when/if another one fails.
Have you had any issues with running at 18V? I did a very quick 20V DeWalt battery mod to a lower wheels and blew the radio (or speaker) in the dash. But everything else still works. Lol. How do I not continue to blow the different switch points?
put 24v lead acid. ( I got 4-ea different bands...Power Wheels and whatever Brand that is for only $20) first I ran 5s lipo 50 C ( it has way more amps than 5s liOn at 20C)..it's like having 6s Lion (22-26v)..I also use 6s Lion. 18V wasnt fast enough for the kiddies ( 4-6 years old)...due to the gear ratios in the None powerwheels brand..So I tried 24v lead acid..on the ATV . It runs fine. I take them on 2- 3 miles drives as usual. it's faster than powerwheels :-P....The kids loves it. The lead acid dosnt have high amps like 6s LIPO ( you can't use 6s LIPO 50 C...too much) The rear shocks absorb the torque a little...it'll go into a power slide as soon as they let off..lmao ( that's how they drive)..They're also learning how to shift ( start in low than into high)..I cut off a little bit of plastic from the shifter...so they can shift it easier. It's cool...I can make good use of the lead acid (12 ah..is more than 1 hours .lol) You can also wire the ESC a different way....( you need to get foot pedal)...and wire it as if it's the POT (knob)..so it'll be a softer start)...it's not always going to be 24V... unless the kids has it peg.lol You can still have low fast and REVERSE.... If you get lost...just wire it into the battery's INPUT ...then just make sure the switch ( foot pedal is always on).. You dont need to cut any wires..just run a jumper...if you want to keep it sort of stock wiring. I make different adaptors harness for different types of batteries I use. The cars are basically STOCK.
Now I know how to upgrade my daily driver! 🦉🍻
hahahaha Looking for better mpg's.. not me. stay tuned for a video on my new vehicle!

Trickin out the kids cars....time for the life-sized tricked out lowrider for dad🤔

The led is red and will light up when it is on.
Do i need to change my 12v controller?😊

Did you ever get this sorted?
Ah man, waited to see results. Show us how fast they are.
They are much faster now, I promise! haha I really like to keep my kids off of here if I can. Maybe the next time they ride them I can get some video!

👍🏾
Thanks!
How did you hook up the gas pedal to the new controller ?
You cut the factory battery wires and wire that into the DC motor
@@pelphreySo where did you hook up the throttle wires
can you send the list what i need to get to do this please
Did you keep your old dc and added this one with it
The dc motor allows you to control the "speed" for lack of a better term. You can speed up or slow down the machine.
Thanks
Do you still have the pink car
Sure do! They drove it all the time
You should make a other video of it

That is intense!!! But I LOVE the input!! I have 3-4 year olds, the 18v batteries provide enough power for them!
But does it have a voltage cutoff ?
Nope. Running for years like this now flawlessly
Does it reverse?
Yep!
@@pelphrey How? I don't see any signal wire for reversal.
The power wheel has to have the gear shift. All of my have forward with 1 or 2 speeds and reverse.
