Santa Cruz County's deadly storm 12/31/2022

California State parks and Santa Cruz Police investigated a deadly accident after a large tree toppled to the ground killing a 72-year-old Santa Cruz resident. The tree toppled during the storm on new years eve.
Paradise park in Santa Cruz County residents were faced with evacuating after they were issued with an Evacuation warning due to the San Lorenzo River rising. Other areas in the Santa Cruz Mountains were faced with flooding, Felton Grove had homes surrounded by water and Zayante had a home damaged by a mudslide.
