Awesome!! I am so glad you got to build one of these kits they are exactly what you said and that's why I always tell everyone this sand scorcher kit is like the best build ever a work of art! Thanks for the shout out and I can't wait to see what you do with the body. 👍Thank you RC Elf for hooking him up with the scorcher!
No problem Steve you have given me solid advice and this kit is amazing the parts are so heavy duty been working on the body all week hopefully have it wrapped up this weekend the Elf really spoiled me on this one he really is a LEGEND
Ah, what a great car! Is the pan carbon fiber? The one I had back in the day was fiberglass I believe! You are going to have so much fun with that beast, you must find a beach to test it on!
Thank you brother the original might have been fiberglass i know they did some improvements on the re release it looks like the same stuff as the avante frame hope you have a great weekend brother
Another Awesome Gift from the RC Elf 💯 The Sand Scorcher is a very nice kit 😃 Heck Yes Steve at Shen RC is like a Tamiya Icon and All Around Addicted Hobbiest ✌🤠👍 HFLPRCing 👍😎👍 AOAH 🌟 RCF4L 🙏 SSPH Brother Brent
This one just looks like fun to build. It surely is unique and I love the sealed compartment. That steering is truly crazy looking!! Between you and Xavier you guys are gonna make me have to go try and figure out a way to sweet talk the wife into a new car she doesn't want to buy!!! Looking forward to seeing what you are gonna do with the body. Half of me says you may go box art as it is a classic look and the other half says it is highly doubtful it will look anything like the box!!!
So cool that you have a kit that brings a new sparkle into your RC world! Great the way you’re demo-ing your build! Fun time for the Pro! RC Elf was the first to sit on the chassis, riding high!😁👏👏👍🤗
Thank you very much Christine this kit is amazing fun to build I have had a really great time with it about done on day 6 of painting and dealing just can't stop its to much fun the ELF really spoiled me he is a legend
That is an amazing kit! What a cool build and I can see why it is so iconic. Love that you wanted to just take it all in and enjoy the process man 🙌🏻👍🏻
The kit was very nice with all the metal. But when you had to squeeze so much into the electric box in the old ones. A humped battery, second servo with speed controller and 4AA battery pack. Now I think how did it all fit in :-)
@@AdventureTimeRC It was, the wires had to be in the right place to get the top on. With modern electrics we are luck to have so much less to play with.
How generous of the RC Elf to get you a Sand Scorcher; I can completely understand why you wanted to delight in the build process rather than spending half the time concerning yourself with light levels and camera angles. You still gave good information, such as adding grease between the clamshells to exclude dust and grit and backing off those s rew a quarter turn too. I thought it was good of you to point out your Johnson - otherwise we might have missed that detail.
This was put together awesome both the build and the video I wish I would have done something like this with that little mini I just did and them cam lock screws are cool thanks for sharing man
NICE DUDE, you got a sand scorcher, I dont know which I like more this or the kyosho bug, very nice kit! Those clear motor cover and clear gear covers are awsome!
Hey buddy sand scorcher is cool hey can lexan pollycarbonate clear rc bodys be painted with rustolium paints or tamiya model paints or have i to get the propper spray paints from tamiya for clear bodys to paint
I really want to build one of these... But what the RC Elf just delivered - will keep me BUSY for a long while!! Isn't that amazing technology... Designed in 1978!!!
Yeah Carmine when you look at it you can tell the age of the design but suprising how its still close enough to a modern design ro be very capable really shows the level of engineering that went into the design thank you very much for watching brother
Old, maybe.... but Brent, you well know that so much went into this one. It was a Premium then, and a superb Car today 👌 I'm still mind-blown about what arrived today!!! Did a quickie video.

I didn't even think about rhe manual speed control and batteries with the big futaba receiver i bet that was a challenge to fit

Rc has really came along waybin the electronics department

Another great looking build Brent brother. Well done man
Brent I want one of them and I'd do it just like the box art and put a aftermarket engine kit in the back to make it look like a real VW engine!
Very nice 👌 👍
