The problem with that online application is that Chinese means Mandarin; there is no selection for Cantonese. It translates "braised" to 燴 or 燉 . I checked out another online application which is supposed to translate English to Cantonese, but it gives me 烤! Further research shows that 燴 = braise, 燉 = stew, and 烤 = roast. So, I guess 炆 in Cantonese is the same as 燴 in Mandarin. Is that correct? It is all so confusing to me 🙁.
