When I see trucking like this it makes me think of how GOD blessed and watched over me trucking for 50yrs an operating everything that moved an drove everything but parkin lot an bed buggin. I started driving a 777 uke gas tanker when I was 16. I was 16 when I got my chauffeurs in 1968. I ran all equipment then drove a coal bucket and trailer an ran the coal mines in 5 or 6 states, pulled flat bed, bulk tank, drop deck an heavy mine equipment wide and heavy. Then about 1978 or 79 ran west coast and northwest all COs reefers, dry box, wedge, bulk tankers an retired with Howard Lisk in Wadesboro NC. RAN muddy mountains pulled in an out of places like you are in also with stick wagon. The harrier it got the better I was by the Grace of GOD. One job I applied for I was told I was over experienced but I just tried to do the best job I could do. I met some great people in 50yrs in 48 states, my name was BLACKJACK. Trucks didn't have air bags or the ones way back didn't so arthritis and trailer whiplash has beat me to death. Keep on trucking boys make sure JESUS CHRIST is number one. 🙏He made me let him out a couple times because I was getting a little to rowdy but he was always waiting on me to pick him back up a little further down the road. 😇 Be safe an make sure THE POWER AND THE GLORY is in the buddy seat and it will be just fine.

Despite what Jeremy Clarkson would have folks in the U.K. believe we do many things well. One is diesel engines. Truckers put literally millions of miles on their rigs before they trade then in on another one.

That has nothing to do with them not being able to do a certain amount of miles or hours. Big companies get rid of older trucks once they hit a certain milage or age to reduce maintainance costs and insurance, get better milage from newer models and to be able to access environmentally friendly demandzones (EURO5) that continiously increase their maximum emission standards like city centres that simply won't allow older trucks to access the zones for delivery, forcing companies and drivers to renew their fleets even if they did not want to.
It should also be said that all of these trucks that are replaced are shipped off to Africa, South America and Russia where they get new lives and continue in service for many more miles without having to deal with any environmental standards or fleet renewal programs.

In fact new airline pilots are paid about the same or even less than new truck drivers. My father who owns a trucking company has drivers with bachelor degrees. Some people just enjoy it. In the us, it is law that commercial pilot must be of good moral character. Based on how rude, angry and immature your comments are you don't seem like you should be in a cockpit or even behind the wheel of a semi truck. You are a grown adult bullying a teenager who appears to be substantially smarter than you. I can only assume that you are not happy with your financial status so resort to bullying people. Low tech is all you can rely on. If its not on the truck, it cannot break (wires, computers, DEF system DPF system etc)
NASA even has low tech implace for all of its back up systems. Take a look at the engin used for getting back off of the moon. It used hypergolic fuels for that exact reason-they are low-tech, all that is needed is to turn a valve that separates them and boom, you can get back home.

@MammoetFan how is it bad for the environment? it burns LESS fuel than a plastic euro truck would in this scenario, it scores better on those stupid emmisions tests, breaks less (meaning fewer unncessesary miles as well as fewer parts are needed to be manufatured), is durable enough to not require replacement every four years meaning another truck doesnot have to be built to replace it.
I could go on with more examples of how this truck is better, but I dont care. Go drive your fugly volvo.

thats why i always say loggers are the real truckers, they arent soy boys concerned about MPG and aerodynamics and fuel efficiency - they want a truck that gets shit done properly and that you can play rough with and it won't blow out the gearbox or throw a rod. older trucks have a hell of a lot more tolerance in their parts because they were made to work and work dependably.

p.p.p.s it does better on emissions testing than my tier two emissions truck while burning less fuel.

At the end I thought that the trailer was gonna tip over on that left turn. Suppose if the guy swung out a little wider he could’ve missed that mud hole there? At least he didn’t lose that log load at the end though.

Nice clutch work at start , but keep it rolling on top and swing to the right, he did not have to drop it in the ditch like that, good way to break suspension components, then I'm working on it all day, lucky, if I have parts, get you going the next day..

That's a damn good lookin peterbilt your brother has! Timbertrucking is fun job, because you have challenges everyday and everyday is different. Challenges are mostly at winters because its slippery, and falls when most of forestroads are soft because of the rains. But anyway... Very beautiful truck, i wish that someday i could drive trucks like you have there! - JRJ from Finland.. out

Yeah, thats right. I worked for some Companys with my own Truck. Peterbilt 359 13 Speed Double Over. My Big Boy is an Tri Drive. Straight Pipes,Jake Brake and many Lights. First Engine was Cummins. Two Jears ago i must Change the Engine. Now i have CAT. Logging is one of the best Jobs ever. My Favorite Time is in the Winter. And many People coming to me and say:" Hey Man, thats a Beauty." I am Pride for my Big Boy everytime. And the 359 as Tri Drive is rare. The Most Tri Drive are 379 or 389.

I drive a MAN TGX 26.440 (UK truck) and its a nice comfy drive, Full Auto, all the mod cons.. all I wanna do is Drive a beast like that :) Open her up full Bore and watch the black pour out the stacks :)
