Cool. One thing I did with corner weighting and wheel aligning the speedway car was to have a plywood/grease/plywood sandwich under the wheels of the end or side being adjusted. This was effectively frictionless and allowed the wheels to spread to where they would be after rolling the car back and forward a few times.
It was a little impractical and messy and having it under all four wheels at once when you only have a jack for raising would be a safety problem, but it did mean that my ride height and toe adjustments were repeatable and not subject to the tyres griping the concrete and resisting motion

Definitely going to follow this advice and set up the baseline for equal stroke on bump and droop then fine tune height on the spring perch.

Great video. Please keep the technical stuff coming. Spring rates, alignment, ride height, how to set my car up on the track and what to look for to understand my set-up.

@@MotiveVideo Yeah, My brother has them on his xr6 turbo, before that, he had tein, mca and xyz....but the shockworks stuff is lightyears ahead. Fairly comfortable ride, but holy crap, this thing sticks to the road like shit to a blanket and thats with standard 235 toyo tyres. I have really expensive advan neova's sticky's on mine, 255 F and 265 R, and I cannot stay with him through corners, not even close. I drove his car last week through all the twisty stuff between tin can bay and rainbow beach, and I was totally blown away, and scared the crap out of him, because he's a shit driver lol.

I put a set of kw v3's in my 2018 rs3 sportback. All of a sudden I'm dealing with body roll. Thinking of going back to the factory mag ride set-up.

Interesting ! At ride height, bump to droop ratio is 50-50
There are other thoughts where there ratio is 2/3 bump and 1/3 droop,
And another 60pc bump and 40pc droop

Cannot follow the point he is explaining at 3:00. Find the mid point of full droop and compression with the base adjustment where? Please make the shock travel video!!

Interesting, didnt realise adjustment on these types of shocks was just a low speed bleed both ways.

Good content as always, but the video quality is badly washed out it seems
