I've been on 16 cruises, you'd be surprised how little the crew members are paid. The entertainers are probably paid the most but the staff spend months on the ship to get money to send home and they're paid very little and scolded if a passenger complains. They have a lot smaller rooms and don't eat the same food as the passengers!
The suggested gratuity that you can do - very little of it goes to the people who do the work (waiters, cabin cleaner, etc). I always tipped them extra mid way through. $20 to them is so much money and they're always so grateful. It was definitely an eye opener for me when I learned this!
If you want a really good drink that not too strong. Club soda vodka and lime juice. So light and so good and your drinking water so ur staying hydrated.

I went on an MSC cruise earlier this year!!!! We went to the Dominican Republic, The Bahamas, and Puerto Rico!!!
