Considering he just ran forward a short distance and kicked I don’t think that was reaction. He probably expected Asuka to move forwards and tried to meet him in the middle with a fast button, but just happened to catch the teleport, and then he just autopiloted the combo on the assumption that his kick landed Edit: He did feint gunflame, this was definitely just an attempt to catch Asuka moving forwards.
