Definitely the clearest and most comprehensive guide to propagating rose cuttings I’ve come across on UA-cam. Really good and interesting teacher and so easy to listen to. Very well done. Thank you.
I am learning so much here. I'll be watching a ton more videos. I really appreciate how well spoken you are. None of those annoying ands, uhs, ya'knows, right?, etc. I love listening to you as you lead us through each process.
Another MASTERCLASS from a brilliant tutor! To show your support for Jason may I suggest that for those of you who can import roses without any government restrictions consider buying some roses from him.
Hi Jason your areMaster and a Brilliant Teacher I watched your complete guide video two time and enjoyed every time. thank you so very much for such generosity of time and knowledge sharing. You're so knowledgeable, I'm a big fan. This tutorial has really brightened my day, specially in this quarantine times -Now, let's steal a couple of flowers from my sister's bouquet and try this out!
I just stuck a rooting hormone dipped, skinny cutting in peat/perlite in a skinny (but tall ) pot that fit a 2L clear club soda bottle perfectly… basically forgot about it over the winter -(as I did the cutting at the end of the season), occasionally watered it in a warm room, took the lid off the pop bottle If it was building up too much humidity and voila, this spring I had a root ball the size of my fist! I was surprised because it was such a scrawny stem to begin with, and was only semi hardwood. Mind you it took all winter! But I was thrilled to save a piece of my dying out David Austin rose and will now do a better job in spring. Thank you!
Usually I never finish any of the clip longer than 10 min. But your video is just brilliant that cover all about the rose. Thank you for the best knowledge of all. Newcastle AU
Thank you so much for this helpful video! It’s the most comprehensive and clear one I’ve seen. Hopefully my woeful record at propagating roses will improve with your technique. Meanwhile, my mother just cuts of a stem and sticks it in the ground where she wants it to grow and voila she gets her new rose plant! I’ve inherited her love of gardening but not her magical green thumb.

Hi Jason. I have to post a ‘thank you’. I followed your semi hardwood cutting regimen. Success! Evidence of leafing out in 46 of 52 cuttings. All cold Hardy, Explorer and Morden roses. We have a much later ‘spring’ here in southern Alberta than the Fraser Valley. Our air is drier than your region and no evidence of any blackening stems.. Cuttings were kept in a unheated garage. Temp. Between O to 5c most of the winter. I gave them a drink about once a month. Again much appreciated. An aside: I went through military officer’s training in Chilliwack years ago: fond memories of the Nature.

Hi Fraser thanks for this wonderful video. As you said it may be longer than a lot but it could not have been shorter to give all the wonderful information back in the 80s I used to grow old fashioned roses using multilora under stock and budding on using chip budding but this method saves a lot of backbreakin and cuts down so much time
Thank you for sharing. I don't do commercial growing, so don't mist, per se. I fount that a clear liter soda bottle with its bottom cut off does the trick for y situation. Your explanation of proper moisture is great. Especially why rot happens. I usually do hardwood cuttings; now I'll try sei-hard. Thanks again.
Thanks. I started with a large humidity dome and it worked decently once I got the hang of it. Just a bit tricky sometimes to get the right amount of air circulation. Best luck with your cuttings!
Bravo! Very informative and your technique is similar to mine. I grow cannabis, but I've always enjoyed the process and aesthetic of rose gardening. Thank you very much!😎👍

Wonderful informative video! I’m off to the greenhouse! 🌹
Hi Fraser thanks for this wonderful video. As you said it may be longer than a lot but it could not have been shorter to give all the wonderful information back in the 80s I used to grow old fashioned roses using multilora under stock and budding on using chip budding but this method saves a lot of backbreakin and cuts down so much time
Thanks so much Rick. Good to hear from another OGR lover.
Thank you for being so thorough!
I love all your videos and they have been so helpful to me.
Thank you very much!😎👍
Thank you for sharing! I grow Rose's from cuttings and sell them in my country.
Best tutorial video ever.
Thanks!
We really appreciate the support Suzanne!
