Man, a lot of negative comments. Strung out rules. Their songs are pretty hard, they aim high and especially vocally its not always possible to match the albums note for note. They do this night after night, almost any performance will have its ups+down. I'd have to say, i got pumped up when they started 'Population control'. I think i'd rather hear the whole song than a medley, still rad though.
Chad Jensen I’m bored with them playing those live too. I really wish Strung Out would get more creative with their sets and play more deep tracks. This is one of the main reasons I haven’t seen them in years. I don’t want to hear Bring Out your Dead, Ultimate Devotion, Ashes, Firecracker, end with Matchbook. And I’ll always love those songs but I’d way rather hear them play Dirty Little Secret, Contender, Satellite, More Than Words, Pleather or just anything they don’t do all of the time.
I wish the music that Jake tabbed out for me for Blueprint of the Fall didn't get wet and have the ink run... I got sick for 3 years so I couldn't play. Went to pull it out a few days ago and stared at it for 5 minutes.. then cried.. I remember most of it, but part of the solo where he plays higher up on the neck and slowed down section is harder than the rest of the faster parts. I can't quite remember. Wish he'd call me back lol.13:03 - 13:07 they aren't using power chords, which was a nice change!
It would mean a world if you could put the seconds on the setlist so we can go to an specific song we want to! Thnx for the uploading anyway!! Your channel rock!!
kennediens Jason was more consistent in his earlier years. In his defense, he is the greatest vocalist of all time and hitting those kind of notes consistently can’t be easy on anyone’s vocal chords. But I have seen them almost a hundred times it feels like and he has been bad more than good. But I most of the time can’t tell until recordings after because I’m in front screaming my head off with him.
@@stephendre2902 yeah i agree fully. Amazing singer and frontman. Alot of people tend to forget they are getting older, and some of these songs are 20 years old now too(Velvet, Matchbook etc) . Still kickass live thouh 🤘
I have to say I agree, The vocals are always terrible live. I always find it weird that there are so few comments about it. Dont get me wrong, studio wise they are amazing but when it comes to them singing live it is terrible. I remember seeing them on the same tour as the one they recorded live in a dive on, seriously couldnt believe they put out such a tight live album when Jasons voice sounds like it is breaking on every other live performance,
Missing their tour which was postponed due to coronavirus... can’t wait to see them again!!!
Strung Out is the best concert to go to.... These guys rock

Luv dat medley!!!

I really like that Jake picked up on Rob's amp giving him trouble and busted out the solo during 'Mind Of My Own'.
Thanks man...

they should defs play velvet alley earlier in the set cos it has so many high notes that his throat is wrecked by the time he sung that.

+Daniel Simon this is actually a really strong performance of theirs.
Guitars are great
I agree. They fuct up Ultimate Devotion and Mind Of My Own too. They might be bored with the songs, but we're not. Come on, guys.

Fucking eh! love it!
@ 14:22 Complete Shredding!
One of the best solos ever. Absolute technical yet feel-driven beast!

i wonder what is this band, i like the bass. Is it a Fender?

Is that Tom Jones? Hahaha! Awesome!
Anyone criticizing vox has never gotten sick on tour before. The show goes on whether your voice works or not.

they played in Paris in France?
29:40 LOL
Not too keen on them mixing up the tempos in Too Close To See... think it would be better if they just kept it full pace.

this band WAS good 16 years ago, not so much now
Love Strung Out but they suck live.
Brandon Chilian Yeah. Back in the day they were a lot better. But Jason sucks most of the time now.
