mio amico caro grazie di cuore per il bellissimo video e per i bellissimi transiti sul ponte complimenti cari dalla sicilia un caro saluto tuo amico giuseppe
That intermodal stacker is headed south towards ironton Ohio it will pass through Waverly piketon Portsmouth wheelersburg haverhill,Ohio Furnace ironton south point and cross the Ohio river into Kenova West Virginia
Chillicothe used to be one of the best places to watch trains especially in the 1970's at station with all of action at the diamonds for the B&O and N&W.
Very nice video Jaw Tooth! Five NORFOLK SOUTHERN trains going over the river and across an awesome trestle. I liked the sound of the train when you were under it Jaw Tooth! Very cool views of the trains!
I live in Canada and when i was a boy in 1960 we lived one block from the railroad tracks. Every weekday long freight trains would go by around lunch time. We would count the cars as they went by and some trains had close to one hundred cars.
You really hit the jackpot with this video, JT. Great location and nonstop action. When I raced bicycles in the ‘70s, some of my cycling pals raved about TOSRV, the Tour of the Scioto River Valley - 105 miles between Columbus and Portsmouth. It’s one of, if not THE, largest organized bike tour in the US. I imagine cyclists see lots of trains while riding. Hey, maybe I’ll give it a shot in 2021!
Smitty SF-3751 Wow, never knew that this was there, was thru Chillicothe back in the 1960's. Was a Fire Fighter, Crash Crew at WP AFB. and my X lived in Montgomery W. V. what a trip. Keep up the great work, Am enjoying the scenes around Ohio that I never got to see when I lived there. Have a Great Day
Love this. I used to be able to walk and capture awesome videos like you, explore new places etc, that’s until my accident that has left me paralyzed from the middle of my belly button down. I am confined to a wheelchair now so I can’t but I really do enjoy watching your videos and especially ones like this when you earn the video you want to film by hauling yourself up the flood wall. I miss my days of doing this. Keep’em coming my friend and I will be watching. Cheers
Great catch! Thanks for getting out there to make great videos. Always wonder why so many railroads in the good ol' USA leave bridges unpainted for decades. Major pieces of expensive infrastructure on Class I mainlines are eyesores, just rusting away. The only fresh paint that's been applied to most railroad bridges is graffiti. Anybody else make that observation?
We rode that bike trail the day before! Man was it hot!! Great trail though. And we visited Sardinia and Mt Orab that day too and saw the CET locomotives you video a lot. We are from Western New York and love trains so we watch your videos all the time, and it was cool to see them in person. 😊 Too bad we didn't run into you!
I'm enjoying your older videos JT! Like you say every view helps your channel! Beautiful shot over the bridge gorgeous park area perfect for railfans! You can great close ups of the trains flying by. 😊👍
Nicely done. I'd like to canoe that river. Bring an ice chest of full of Coors - known as canned water to you all LOL. Sorry cracked my self up. Nice video. I love your bridge videos the most - followed by your videos that show classic trucks with the trains. Life is good ... stay hydrated.
I love railroad footage . I watch the Canadian National railroad here in Green Bay, Wisconsin . As far as that flat spot on that last intermodal car is concerned, Norfolk Southern will absolutely have it changed out . It's really amazing how railroad maintenance changes out the wheel/axle assemblies on a rail car . It's time consuming and is potentially dangerous .
Where? I live right down the street and see nothing but a trash collection that floods every now and then! I was gonna suggest that there would be a good place to film right there on Sugar St between 4th and 5th.
More Jaw Tooth filming trains in the sunshine! But wait there's more, not once, not twice but three times. Nice video and a variety of wagons. That's also a very tight curve that the trains turn on after the bridge.
Jaw Tooth, the next time you're in Chillicothe, there's a spot, practically adjacent to the Chillicothe Mall shopping center, where there's a CSX main line on one side and an NS main line on the other- it's near U.S. 23. Imagine catching trains in that area!!!
I just watched your video. I actually grew up on Sycamore, the street that park is on, and just around that turn which is Water St right next to the track on the corner of the alley. The park wasn't named that then (born in '59). There were houses from Sycamore all the way down to Bridge St where the levy is now back then, and no bike trail. Although we used to take our 20' bikes down the hill toward the water on really steep dirt trails. It did have two tracks then also, we would jump back and forth for different trains. Farther South just a mile or so was a huge train yard where they would turn engines around to go the other way but it's since been torn down also. It serviced N&W, B&O and one more that I just can't remember the name of. Thanks you took me down memory lane since I've been living in Texas for 40 years.
Great video Brian. Chillicothe is a great town for rail fanning. Not only because of the NS A line, but also companies like Mead paper, which makes for major switching action almost every day. There are a few places that pretty much have street action if you know where to look.
Enjoyed that. I grew up in the next town over, Washington Court House. There used to be many railroad lines passing through that town, but mostly gone now.
Wow when you have videos you take me to some awesome places, thank you for everything you do keep up the good work peace brother. Tim from Grandrapids, Michigan.
Cool video. I like those types of trestles. I love to wait because I know there will always be more. Great post. With all that traffic you think they would double track the line there.
Flushed? I remember a local passenger train that was just a hole to the tracks below when you raised the lid. As a young kid I was afraid of falling through it!
There was a report of an Amtrak passenger train releasing its load over a river while on the bridge. Ironic, there were some fishermen in a boat below the bridge when the train was releasing its load.
Becareful out there in your neck of the woods with the 90 degree weather. We have been having high 90s and over 100 degrees in different parts of Southern California.
I enjoy your videos. My Grandfather and Father worked for the old B&O. The line that you were watching is across from my home in Chillicothe. I live a few miles north from where you were. The is a 4 degree grade going north (west) for 15 to 20 miles.
At glance i would say at one time this track was 2 sets (because of the bridge) but NS probably reduced it to one for costs and how often they run on that (and maybe because of the number crossings?). it reminds of what they did to the track that goes through Lakewood, Oh in the early 90's.
That was cool 😎. Boxcar totally covered in graffiti. Why don't they take that talent and make better use of it. Lot of money spent on paint 🎨. Anyway, that looks like a great trail. Nice park. Trains, walking, bicycle and maybe some fishing 🎣. Thanks again for sharing.
Hi, Brian, thanks for the great video. Do you know when they removed the second track from that line? It says that there’s only one track there now. Also, was that berm you were standing on another railroad track that was removed along time ago? It kind of looks like it. Thanks again, and keep up the good work!
The second track was pulled in the late 1970's. In 1985 (the last time I was there) there was a double track right to the bridge on both sides then singled over the bridge with a double diamond crossing the B&O at the station. The trains now are going slower than they did in 1985
Great spot.Lots of live action.CSX runs through Chillicothe also.Last fall I caught a large southbound grain train going south just after a crew change.I recorded it, but it didn't turn out very well. Thanks for the great video.
the CSX as it is now pretty much runs AROUND chillicothe, then passes north. the line if a former C&O route from russell, kentucky to columbus. the B&O/chessie/CSX ohio division used to run between grafton, WV and cincinnati through chillicothe, but the tracks were ripped out in the mid eighties.

That's a spectacular spot on the rise for a clear shot all the way across that bridge!!
cool location, awesome shot under the bridge very entertaining

I had to go to a friends funeral today. I love watching your videos and rail fanning near my house.

My hometown! Come back again. There are a couple other cool places you could film. Plus a lovely train mural on Sugar st, under the overpass

Cool looking up from underneath, but keep in mind that things can fall from the train/tracks. Stay safe, y'all. Thanks for posting, Brian.
Love that see through bridge , nothing like that over here.
I stood under it once and watched a train go by

I remember that old yard and the huge wooden train station. I rode the Chessie steam Special there in the 70s. Awesome town!
Careful, J.T. that bridge is burnt, cause those tracks never cool off.
Great video Brian. Chillicothe is a great town for rail fanning. Not only because of the NS A line, but also companies like Mead paper, which makes for major switching action almost every day. There are a few places that pretty much have street action if you know where to look.
The last time I was around there was probably mid 1990's. I used to backpack around there a lot. I'm glad you showed the RR though.
The B &O caboose was awesome to!
Enjoyed that. I grew up in the next town over, Washington Court House. There used to be many railroad lines passing through that town, but mostly gone now.
Terrific video! This area of Ohio is very pretty.
We see a lot of trains coming through here daily... A real good place to live if you like trains... Stay safe... Have a great day...
GOD BLESS you for uploading these videos onto here, sir.
Glad you like them!

Under the bridge..... good stuff👍🏻🚂🇺🇸
Great idea going under that trestle. Good shots.
Thanks 👍
Very great live 👀 action footage of that historic bridge 👍👌
Very awesome live action Jaw. I enjoyed like always man.
Remember in the old days when the train toilets flushed on to the tracks in the 50s
Flushed? I remember a local passenger train that was just a hole to the tracks below when you raised the lid. As a young kid I was afraid of falling through it!
Imagine walking on the tracks I wonder what you would find

Nice one JT! At first, I thought you were on the Scioto River bridge on the eastern peavine. I had to read through the rest of the desciption, lol
Another Excellent Production from Jaw Tooth!!
Thanks again!
Jaw Tooth my guy ! I love the narration also I love the Norfolk Southern Trains!
Love that giant pipeline on rails.
Me too!
You do a great job finding the most action packed train locations. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent !!!
Amazing!!! Beautiful video! Greetings 🚂🥰👍📽️🔝🙋♂️
I would love to live in one of those white houses in the park grounds JT, that would be awsome sitting outside watching the trains. 😊
That would be cool!
Go downtown to Yoctangee Park and see a couple of old rail cars they have.
Lotta trains on that line! They oughta put the double track back in.
the line is mostly doubletrack north of chillicothe and for quite a ways north of portsmouth.
Great video! I love bridges and trestles! Thanks for sharing Jawtooth!

really enjoy your videos! always interesting and different places!
@ 5:20 Cotton Belt-- Now you are talking my area down here in Texas through D/FW.
Nice vid here, Jaw Tooth. Great catches you got in this busy NS single track spot in Chillicothe, Oh.
Thanks Brian, you always provide such great footage for us modelers!
Hi jaw tooth I see the train going over the bridge its kool to me it's fun to watch the trains going over the bridges Jack 👽👍
Thanks for sharing!

Did you say Portsmouth Sir? That is my old home town over here in England. Loving your work.
Busy little spot in Chillicothe
Great video ! Flat spots are truly bothersome . Rock on
Nice footage Jaw Tooth!
Always cool to see CP & CN rail cars in your videos. Always enjoy your videos. Keep it up!
I was right there working by that bridge. Saw a group of kids cross the bridge five minutes later a train came down it.
great video liked 🚄🚄👍
Chillicothe is a great place I need to get back there again.
Nice vedio! 👍

Would not want to be walking across that bridge with a train coming. Great Vid, enjoyed it!
(14:45) Nice veiw of the bridge girders, the tops are built up like leaf springs.
Hello Martin! “Start the Video, Son”. NS Unit w/Long Nose Forward. 🤥 But Wait, we have a More”.
I Suppose NS will ignore the maintenance of that bridge like they did to a lot of lines here in Michigan
Hi, Brian, thanks for the great video. Do you know when they removed the second track from that line? It says that there’s only one track there now.
