- History & Practice of the Hmong Hauv Toj (Huashan 花山节）Festival. This video clip gives you an explanation of HOW & WHY we celebrate tsa Hauv Toj. As for our Hmong in Southeast Asia, we no longer perform this part of the ceremony. We only have the NOJ TSIAB and NOJ 30. and than we go dhia qaib/pov pob. We only do the fun part of the ceremony. Noj tsiab is to have big feast with our relatives and friends and that can happen anytime close to the end of the year. NOJ 30 is to kill chickens/big etc. on the 30th day and celebrate the end of the year to send off the old year, bad things go away with the old year and to receive the new year with good health and prosperity.
