Quite a project you are starting, but you will have a great truck when you are done. I have a 1966 Jeep J - 2000 seven foot pickup that my Dad bought new in December of 1965. It was his service and plow truck for many years. We rebuilt the engine and transmission in the early 1980's and in 1993 my cousin Bob and I cut the frame behind the cab and welded in a new Chevy truck frame and double plated where the two frames came together one - half inch thick all together, I bought a very clean seven foot body to replace the 1966 body which was totally shot and have replaced both rear springs and front springs in 2022. This truck is still my plow truck after 58 years. Thanks for saving another old Jeep truck from the crusher.
Well I got the rear frame section done brakes and lines I lifted it a little and nicer bed on the truck now I need to dive into the transfer case now I’m going to do away with the vista couple as it’s slipping I’ll be posting for on it here soon
