Part of the reason is because it's in stereo. Of course the GB only has a single speaker but a lot of games had their sound made in stereo for headphones.
I agree and this is a close second to my favorite (my favorite being C). What they both have in common is that they tell a story through music and personally I just like the story C tells slightly better. Every track in this game is amazing and again, B is a really close second.
Overall, I think in the realm of all video game tunes this is underrated but I've seen this one get a lot of recognition and popularity among the Tetris soundtrack in general so I beg to differ.
It’s apparently an original song. It feels to me like a pastiche of baroque (the first melody brings to mind Bach in particular), classical, and Russian folk music.
I remember always dancing to this song whenever I played Tetris as a kid. So many memories...❤
When I was an little kid I didn't know😅 Tetris what out in out at the game store but they made the game 🎮
Ay! I would dance to this one when I was a kid as well. That’s hilarious😂
💃🕺
This is probably my favorite of the three main Tetris GB tunes.
It’s also the only original one.
Same
The song sounds like you’re traveling through space
Ja, an die Zeiten kann ich mich erinnern. Das Spiel war ich so süchtig geworden, das ich sogar die ganze Nacht im Bett die Melodie spielen ließ ⛑.
I love Type A, but B is woefully underrated
This version sounds better than the NES.
Agree!
and SNES version is even more astounding!
I still like the NES version
Yep

I don’t care how you try to convince me, this is better than type a
Edit: i was kind of exaggerating there
I agree
Yup that is what I always thought as well!
aaaaaabsolutely
Honestly… yeah, i can see that.
true
this is an original tanaka composition though it clearly takes inspiration from various sources
Sounds Russian
damn bro B-TYPE going hard
B is to A as Chill is to Fever. Superior.
... _Dr.Mario_ tracks?
This music is fireeeee. I remember jamming to this while playing tetris.
Same 😁
Ahhh man, I am in complete awe....!
this was always my favorite but I've always wondered that this theme is telling a story ..
Every song does. Some are simply better storytellers than others.
Ragitsu but this one is more of a love story ... if only 8bit had lyrics

@@gdirect6101 c is originally by bach who is the most intelligent to have ever roamed the earth
Wow, SO many memories :)
This OST Track Is Making Me Dance!
AKA: "Run from Tetriminos and score Tetrises all around!"
sounds like a haunted castle!
Lol
this is my favorite tetris ost. sad people like the a-type version instead.
B-Type for life!
It's my 2nd favorite. Music A is my 1st favorite
Underrated.
Compared to A-Type and C-Type...or in general within the realm of video game tunes?
Just the other songs in the Tetris soundtrack in general.
My personal favourite is Type A, though.
Overall, I think in the realm of all video game tunes this is underrated but I've seen this one get a lot of recognition and popularity among the Tetris soundtrack in general so I beg to differ.
I want a remix of this in the style of mother 3 music
I prefer this over the NES version.
mi favorito
my prefered song when i play
This theme really does epitomize the final days of the Soviet Union... or the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Is this also an russian folksong like A-type?
I don't think it is based off of an actual Russian folk song. However, it still comes off as Slavic to *me*.
@@Nyrua What is the name?
@@Ragitsu welp it is...
@@SMPandanic Hm?
@@Ragitsu i don't know the song but I'd recommend looking up tetris type a song orgin
I expected a downgrade from the excellent Brawl remix, but. . .nah, this is still peak.
When you take zertek
I prefer the nes version, this version feels more rawish.
x1.25 if you want to emulate a "fast" version like the Nintendo NES version had.
Dance...dance faster!
@@Ragitsu No, panic, you're about to lose !
Ce theme sera repris sur nes la meme annee!
When Russia invaded Afghanistan.
Whats original name of this song? I know this is 8bit remix
I am sure it is an original song
I don’t know exactly what it is, but it is a Russian Folk Song
@@zakkponsen5619 this song was specifically made for tetris i believe
theme A is korobeiniki i think thats how its spelled
It’s apparently an original song. It feels to me like a pastiche of baroque (the first melody brings to mind Bach in particular), classical, and Russian folk music.
Need actual name of Tetris song b
Tetris-B.
Wait that actually came from tetris?
Type-A came from Korobeinki, so i thought b and c came from russian songs too!
B-type is a Tetris Original. A and C-type are based off songs that already existed.
Aka you have 120 seconds to build the castle
is the tune original to gameboy ?
The NES version had it as well, but with a lower tone
Who in there right mind picked this instead of the 1st option
I get doing it once but more than that and you get locked in the cellar for a week
*their* , not there. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
