There may be less C-Type fans, but those few seem to be much more passionate about their C-Type love. A sentence only applicable to Tetris soundtracks.
I love this tune sooo much,it reminds me of those simpler times with no 3D graphics or color capable handhelds,no social media,no smartphones,no micro transactions no firmware updates,it was just a matter of plug and play and enjoy tetris on your gameboy, that’s all and the best you could,ve asked for back in 1989🤣
Hear hear! I second that, I turned 5 in Aug 1989. I can still vividly remember the first time I saw one of those a few years after the debut and fan fare, my best buddy had just purchased one (1991), and can still remember being almost green with envy! I just had to have one, no question about it. He had earned the money for 1/2 the purchase price by cutting out coupons in the mail for daily necessities such as groceries. The amount the coupon was redeemable for was what he earned. His folks then matched the other half, and he received it for his birthday. His mother was the one who came up with this idea and then encouraged me to do the same. Sure enough, I was able to pay half and received it for my birthday as well. Like many others who fondly remember those wonderful/special years, I find the nostalgia growing at an almost exponential rate as I quickly approach 40 (just 2 months away) and will officially be acknowledged as over the hill and truly middle-aged despite being told on a regular basis, I dont look a day over 25! 32 years have come and gone, but those innocent childhood memories will forever continue to instill a deep sense of gratitude. " Don't be sad those special times are 'over', instead, I will be thankful they even happened, and I was fortunate/lucky enough got to see and experience those wonderful times!"
Just wish I knew what was later confirmed by more smarter musicians than I, a detailed explanation of how classical music has found its influence in lots of NES games. This for me is like an alternate dungeon level music for NES Zelda
An idea: let’s make nintendo add tetris in smash Like a whole block of tetris blocks and give the choices of Placing raining blocks random and throwing blocks
If Tetris was an RPG:
Type A: Random encounter
Type B: Boss battle
Type C: Final Boss
This is super calm though. Not in any way appropriate for a final boss.
@@ender7278 I see where you're coming from, but I wouldn't say it's that calm, especially the minor sections.
Type D: Secret Boss
@@Ataurion There is a Type D?!
This should be Type D: m.ua-cam.com/video/BGuF2dQxL5g/v-deo.html
Bach was a Tetris player for sure 😉

I love the culture video games have brought to humanity.
I’m more of a b-type person
@@robotwrench me too
C-Type is the objective best one.
I'm definitely one of the passionate C-Type fans. :)
Anyone who wants the piano version. It is called: French Suite No. 3 in B minor BWV 814 "Menuet" by Bach.
Thanks !
i was just listening to that and felt compelled to find the tetris version so here I am 😂
8 bit classical score at its best. Beethoven would be proud
This music is immortal.
He would be, Beethoven was a great fan of Bach's music.
Right lol.
It's a Bach menuet from the 3rd french suite
I think I haven't heard this melody for over 17 years.. what flashback :D
French Suite No. 3 In B Minor, love it :)
THIS was "good video game music" before it became all about taking movie scores and adapting them for video games.
Yes, like monty on the run. This was a legendary tune:)
More like in F minor
Yes! By Bach
I’ll say this: This is way better than both Type A and B combined.

I do appreciate the playlist. This still is my favorite track of the game.
My fav music from Tetris.
I love this music. Tetris was always one of my favorite games to play on Gameboy, and I always chose this piece.
I agree.
As a kid, I used to enjoy hating the C-Type theme, because it made me enjoy & look forward to A&B-Type themes more lol.
I remember my damaged gameboy, in the night i turn on, and ear this music to sleep :3
When I was a kid, I didn't appreciate this song like I do now
This is the one I always go for.
This is so baroque.
I last heard this while playing it in the car on the way to my grandpa's funeral in early 1994. I haven't played C-Type since then.
I love Bach! Loved this piece as a kid because of this game but never knew it was Bach til I was in my 20s.
I was today years old
Me too. Makes me appreciate it more.
I love how Bach is incorporated into Tetris
It's always nice to have some german music in my russian gam... WAIT WHAT!?
This sounds like a song in Super Mario RPG

Idk why but when u look at the cover page of the tetris game, you can definitely see messed up placing
Minuet from J.S. Bach's French Suite in B minor for Keyboard, BWV 814
this music reminded me of that old sony walkman monkey commercial
As sacrilegious as it is, I prefer this to Type-A.
C-Type is the best
Yes
This theme reminds me of Dragon Warrior music on NES.

I found it!
Is it just me or does The C Music sound eerily similar to undertale music?
Now we have to sue Toby Fox

Sound like Johann Sebastian Bach?
It’s indeed bach

What is the name of this music(type C: Final Boss)?
