If you're a kiteboarder, you already know what we’re talking about. Caribbean chill, steady thermal wind, and a kite community that will forever be considered one of the originals. The adventure sports capital of the Dominican Republic, Cabarete is a kiteboarding hot spot that every kiter should experience.
While it's a hot spot in the kiteboarding community, Cabarete is still very much an adventurous destination. With only one all-inclusive resort in town, it’s the ocean playground and the jungle excursions that bring adrenaline lovers from all over the world.
We’re going to fill you in on all the technical details and need to know information on kiteboarding in Cabarete, as well as travel tips to help you plan your kiteboarding holiday!

You guys need to do more of these.... very well produced with great info. I have started travelling and kiting a lot through Asia. Trying to get good quality information and local knowledge is always a chore. I would watch every one of these you produce.
The kite shops are generally self interested and oversell the wind, or they lack experience outside of their own area so don't understand what to tell people.

Just got back from 5 days in Cabarete. This review was spot on!! Thanks!!!! I should have followed video's advice and brought my 19m for the low winds days. I shouldn't complain though - I got 4 days of great riding!!!

Cabarete is an amazing place to visit. This is where my partner and I first learned to kiteboard. Extreme Hotel is another great place to stay right on kite beach! Nice laid back feel with beautiful gardens, kite school, yoga loft, trapeze, sustainable garden/farm that provides the hotel's bar/restaurant with fresh ingredients. I never had a bad meal here or anywhere else around Cabarete. I can't wait to go back!
Also really enjoy your videos! Allows my mind to drift off to a tropical paradise.

Very nice addition to your channel. Handy information. Well done. Since you all are stoked on foiling......It would be kinda cool to see a foilability rating on destinations. Should I bring foil or not.? Too windy...too shallow... For example. Progresso: Maybe but lots of shallow water Inclose. Or DR: Yeah it’s deep with fun swell and could enjoy in winter on lighter days. Just a fun foil thought 😀

MACkiteboarding, this video inspired me to come to Cabarete for the Spring-Summer of 2021. I'd love to help update some of this information as several restaurant suggestions are now closed, etc. If interested, can someone contact me to help others out in the future?
