Yes. FDI is good thing, when it comes to Hi-Tech Manufacturing where such products are not maded locally. But not for 'Trading'. India was a country where it is "locally produced, locally traded, and locally consumed". There was NO necessity to have large storage & so-called supply chain, as FCI was taking care of large food grains storage for years. In China, it has become a hub for manufacturing. Americans/Europeans are trying convert India as new consumer base for their product.

What they want is cheap indian labor, world economy is competitive, if India can produce the same goods as china more cheaply then India has an advantage. As you know China is a one party so laws change really fast there; they want a balance which India can provide, they don't want all eggs in one basket. This is a good for people w/o jobs.
