After Blanche loses this case, Trump will toss him under the bus and that will be the end of his Trump business. Who else would want to hire Blanche after he loses the Trump case? Certainly not Democrats whether he wins or loses, and certainly not QOP after he puts their cult leader in prison.

Something I don't understand that isn't discussed except Glenn Kirschner. Cohen is on the stand primarily to show the evidence in this case is the same evidence introduced into Cohen's trial that put him into jail. So why shouldn't the same evidence put Trump in jail?

Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro being two recent examples. Navarro only being clapped in a cell the other week _after_ his appeal was denied.

When one side doesn't have one person to testify on behalf of their defendant, it's a bad, bad sign and I'm sure the jury has noticed.
On the other hand, the defence doesn't need to prove anything. It's enough for them to argue that the prosecution hasn't proven their case.

The documentary evidence in this trial is self-explanatory, and got confirmed by testimony of the witnesses for the prosecution. Who could the defense produce as a defense witness other than Trump? That would turn this open and shut legal case into a legal catastrophe.

I must have missed a bit, but I understand that the cheques to reimburse Michael Cohen’s expenses for the payment to Ms Daniels plus his bonus and the grossing up to avoid taxes came from DJT’s personal account. How can his personal cheques even be considered business expenses, criminally classified or not in the financial statements, surely only company paid expenses can be recorded in the accounting?
The problem being that it was supposedly paid as "legal expenses" to cover up the fact that it was recompense for a hush money payment to prevent the disclosure hurting his chances of winning the 2016 election - that's illegal, the electorate is entitled to know if a candidate is trustworthy, an affair while his 3rd wife is at home with his child would show he wasn't.
The biggest flaw being that his defense is just a web of lies and arguments that don’t hold water.

The defense is going to say that EVERYONE is a liar except donnie without putting donnie on the stand.
