I like how the dress turned out. It fits you well and that you get a lot of joy in wearing it, is priceless. For future reference, you can sew in bra strap holders on the inside of your straps of a sundress. It's a couture thing that was done until the 70s. I've never lined or interlined my eyelet or lace fabric dresses. Instead, I wear a full length slip under. The hardest part of pattern adjustment is making it small enough for my flat chest and still look nice.
That dress came out beautifully. The shape suits you very well, and the choice of interlining fabric is lovely to let the lace pop a bit without detracting from the overall little black dress effect.
This is such a fantastic tutorial. I'm definitely going to use this video when adding pockets to my wedding dress, the way you finished these pockets was *chef's kiss*
I get the struggle of finding black eyelet. I have also made what I called a parasol holster. I used a failed costumes sleeve. I bound the top and bottom leaving the bottom open as well because my parasol had a decorative tip and lacy edge. I added a loop so I could put it on my belt. Hands free!

Beautiful. I have a black eyeless summer dress I love too.
Love this so much ❤ now I need to find *more* fabric
putting the pocket in the underskirt is such a genius idea

Your dress looks great. Fabulous fabric. Loved your idea for a cover for your parasol.
