Great review mate. Best on youtube. You spoke to and demonstrated what we actually want to know. Most reviews just say, 'It hasn't skipped a beat', you actually tell us how it's performing. Thanks mate!
Thanks for you comment really appreciate it.. these are $189 today on the website which is a good price… I recently just purchased the 20litre version for $199 its going well also and will do a video on it when i get the time .. cheers and thanks for watching 👍🍻
To do a " proper " lid sealing process You should have stuck a little piece of paper on the seal closed the lid and see if the paper moves around or can be removed whilts lid is closed
Hey mate do you run it off the cig lighter it do you have a separate power source? I’m thinking off getting on but was just going to run it off the cigarette lighter with a standard 3.0 d4d battery in my car
You can run the fridge while driving your car wont be a problem on a long distance trip . Its just if you are stopping your vehicle and want to continue running the fridge like overnight you are going to need an auxiliary battery. Hope this helps 👍🍻
Loved that you tested the amp hours and that you review Aussie products. Is this simple to install securely to the center console of the mitsi? Thinking of installing this to save precious space instead of putting a 30L slide fridge under my bed in the main cabin.
I have only had this on the back seat of the wife’s car using the seatbelt to secure in the vehicle. I’m not sure what’s involved installing in a centre console of a mitsy but I’m sure it could be done . Only thing with this fridge it really struggles in the summer and I wouldn’t rely on this fridge if it was your only fridge . Big chance it will let you down . Just my opinion on the experience I had with this fridge over time. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍🍻
I bought one 2 years ago for my work car and it never been turn off and it hasn't missed a beat. The power consumption has been good too as it's only used as a fridge and set at 2 deg Celsius.
Very helpful. I was wondering about the power draw as a freezer. Thank you. I'm using it as a console fridge for a year now and it's been great but I'm now thinking of using it as a freezer in conjunction with my Kings 60 L, which incidentally has been working flawlessly every day straight for about 4 years.
What's the best way to stop it bouncing around on the back seat as in tying it down? It sits perfect behind the passenger seat but it would block the two side air vents I reckon
Just the review I have been looking for mate - thank you!. I bought one 6 months ago on a whim, and just want it for a bait freezer in boat, or for those lightweight "glamping" trips of 3-5 days where in Summer you need to keep your meat/fish/seafood etc frozen or at-least cool and fresh, and I will always vac pack everything.... I haven't even tested it yet, but plan to use it for 6 days this Summer in Sydney for a planned glamping holiday - and will run it using a Renogy 100 AH Lithium, with 300 watts of solar and a Victron MPPT 100/30. Maybe I will do a video/review using my above items and post it..... For the price seems like a good fridge, and using a Danfoss/ Secop, You can't really go wrong...... Sure not a Bushman et al, but again for the price it appears to be fantastic!.......
Going to bite the bullet based on your review and grab one at $199 in the kings sale. At that sort of money you can’t go wrong. Worst case is it becomes the overflow beer fridge in the shed..👍🇦🇺
Cheers mate this fridge still going strong . I end up buying the 20 litre for 199 as well since having this 15 litre can’t go wrong for the price and it performs well .thanks for watching 👍🍻
That was a thorough test - thanks. I was looking for info on Andersons, found your channel and subbed. I want to see if I can fit it in place of my centre console so my main concern (with all of these in-car fridges) in this position is if the plastics around the lid and sealing surface will distort (ruining the sealing) with heat and time. Perhaps I need to attach a reflective style cover?
@@EFFICIENTSELF Yeah, we are all in the dark with that one. If I can bodge it in between the seats (hand brake to contend with) I'll let you know how it fares with time.
Great review mate. Just wondering have you used the 240v to 12V king's fridge adaptor on this fridge to pre-cool that you can buy for the other escape fridges?
Hi, I bought one of these the other day and just testing it out. The temp bounces up and down like crazy compared to my kings 60L fridge. Does yours do that too? For instance within an hour how many times would the fan kick in? Cheers
Have mine set for 1 degree and when travelling in car probably cycles 4 times in the hour .it cycles when it drops to about 3 degrees to bring it back up to temp then turns off .Hope this helps. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
@@EFFICIENTSELF hi I'm getting similar results. I have a 65 litre kings fridge I put side by side for a couple of days. The 65 L maintains its temp and the small one yoyos. In an hour of testing the large one didn't go off once and the small one 6 times. Think I'll be returning this
will I need a battery setup in my car to run this fridge/freezer OR can I just plug into my cig lighter input in my car without running my car battery flat?
If you running the fridge full time ,you best have an auxiliary battery setup but if you driving regularly you can run the fridge no problems at all and when you not driving just switch it off . This is what the wife does in her car . Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍🍻

do you have a dual battery setup on your work car or did you just plug it into your cigarette lighter input?
@@F.D.Matrix I have a dual battery system. 120 amp lithium battery.
Thorough review! Thinking of this teamed with a power station for the Triton
I found this fridge struggled in the severe heat in the vehicle. The 20 litre is a better fridge i found . Thanks for watching 👍🍻
@@EFFICIENTSELF Thanks for commenting this.
Great review mate. All the info we wanted to know that nobody was telling us. Keep up the good work. :) Look forward to the 6 month review. :)
Cheers mate thanks for watching 👍🍻
These 15ltr coolers run geat and are reliable. Most likely they have low insulation value and would improve performance with a good cover. 👍

Good as a fridge...usless as a freezer. Set at max wont go under minus 9. Cheers

@@EFFICIENTSELF Smaller has advantages they use less power and take up less room, especially in smaller vehicles
