I love deep bass and actually figured out how to get very strong and present deep bass, down to at least 30 Hz, with my new Airpods 4 ANC 😃 Now I absolutely love my Airpods 4 ANC! 👌🏻😊 (my very first set of Airpods - Apple’s Airpod 4 reveal really sold me 😅). Simply do the Personalized Spacial Audio setup, which scans your ears - and only takes about ~30 seconds. Then when listening to music or watching a video, simply ensure that the Spacial Audio feature is active. It doesn’t matter if it’s doing Spacial Stereo (eg. listening to Apple Music or watching UA-cam) or playing full multidimensional spacial Dolby Audio (eg. Apple TV). Music now sounds amazing and no longer lacking in depth. Even the mids and highs have been tamed to be more neutral sounding. And of course, videos and movies have followed suit, with more accurate sound (deep bass, neutral mids and highs). I guess Apple has figured out how ear shape affects perceived sound and their custom Personalized Spacial Audio feature, to compensate for different ear shapes, really works! Even my wife noticed how much deeper and more neutral sounding the audio was after she did the Personalized Spacial Audio setup on her new Airpods 4 ANC.
How much better is the sound on Airpods Pro 2 using the silicone tips vs Comply Foam ear tips I would love to know? Maybe a video to measure how much better! :D
definitely the pro 2 , way better ANC and I'm disappointed that the 4th gen doesn't have volume control on the stem like the pros which is super convenient
I'm considering getting the pro airpods bc i've always wanted the noise canceling feature but i couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on the pro models, i have the airpods 3 rn and they work just fine, but they don't fit my ears super well (i have very small inner ears, most earbuds won't stay in unless they're tiny) so i'm thinking of treating myself to the model with the silicone tips, i think they might stay in better. Great comparison video, thank you! Today I tried mowing my yard with the Airpods 4 and well, that didn't work out so well. Back to the AirPods Pro 2 for that. But to your point, for light/standard noise reduction it does quite well. Also, I found that it "sticks" to my Apple Watch Ultra charger stand and charges quite nicely from there. Doesn't stick to my MagSafe stand, which is what I was expecting. Not sure why it would stick to the watch charger.
I have had better luck with the silicone-memory foam type ear tips on Amazon instead of the Comply Foam Tips. The Comply ones just do not last as long for me.
How does anyone find ANC to be “perfectly quiet” on any product? Sure, it’s good on AirPods Pro, but even on Bose and Sony flagships I can still hear most background noise. Just at negligible volumes.
yea while still really good people on the internet really oversell the strength of the noise cancellation. when I got my sony xm5's I almost returned them thinking they are broken lol
Yeah when I bought my airpods pro 2 with USBC I had them on on the bus and a homeless man was acting and I turned on ANC and I could still hear his voice. I couldn’t understand what he was saying, but I could still hear him talking.

Thanks for the review. AirPods 4 ANC it is. I’ve tried the pro 2’s, but the plastic piece that sits in your ear is too bulky for me and hurt my ears. The 4’s are smaller, they would have been perfect if they also came with the option to attach silicone tips to them.

You should never remove the factory silicone tips, they are made specific and you alter the acoustics of the device. I tried with my first set of pros, and had to revert because I wasn't getting anywhere the quality sound or cancellation.
I lost my old AirPods, and couldn't find them with AirPods 4 without ANC can I find them like AirPods 2 pro. Example if I lost them I can go to Find my app and it will tell me is it the same with Airpods 4 without ANC?
Coming from Skullcandy-push true wireless and lastly Jabra elite 85t , I must say this new Air Pro 2 h2 2nd Gen brings out the different background instruments that I couldn’t notice with this other in ears and the base was more suitable than a rumble …. The noise cancelling its more advance than the ones I had and I was driving a Kubota tractor at 2500 rpm and it was so quiet that barely heard the nocking of the engine pistons. Unfortunately, the charging case of the AirPods 4 with ANC is too small to magnetically attach with the MagSafe charger due to lacking the compatibility with the MagSafe charger when compared to the AirPods 3, AirPods Pro (2021 onwards) and AirPods Pro 2 (any charging ports).
