- Richard Hammond investigates how wind actually starts. He visits one of the windiest places on the planet, walks into the centre of a man-made tornado and creates a 10-metre high whirlwind - made of fire!

i fell asleep with youtube on for like 8 hours and ended up here
I used to think wind came from Holland with all their windmills .
Brilliant. Love it.🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@strokebloke Thank you :)
I used to think that a long time ago, everything was in black and white because of all of the old films and television shows and pictures were all in black and white (I know better now lol)
Makes sense
Don't let Hammond deceive you
Richard is a TRULY wonderful presenter.
Fun fact, PBS has a version of this documentary using the same footage and writing but with Richard Hammond cut out of it.
He shaking Earth and NOW.
the look on the drone pilots face when he was asked to get really close up on the fire twister was priceless
Kind of strange seeing Reed Timmer and The Dominator looking like they had to arrange a secret meeting to pick up Richard Hammond and appear on his program.
Wow! He goes beyond limits to explore things. Appreciate this 👍
Yes!!! Richard Hammon and Tim Reed! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Richard you're just the best, the way you deliver your content is just spectacular, you just explain science concepts very clearly.
Ecclesiastes 1:6
“The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.”
As an update recent weather on Mt Washington this winter, Feb. 4th set some records with gusts of 204 kilometers per hour atop the peak saw the wind chill drop to minus 78C
Reed “there’s no other vehicle like this”… except for the the first two Dominators… and the two TIV’s…
23million pound fan?
Can i borrow that for the summer mate?
Reed tends to run late often but he usually doesn't miss the storms
This is excellent!
*I CAN STILL HEAR RICHARD HAMMON'S VOICE: COULD YOU INCREASE THE VOLUME OF THE BACKGROUND NOISES, PLEASE !!!???*
good program, enjoy Richard on this. Wind of course has to do with the air pressures, the movement of air to and from low or high pressure areas. I sure dig Richard riding around with Reed Timmer :D good stuff
Science class loved this. Thank you for the amazing content!
I just discovered this because it popped in my recommended. I can only imagine jeremy was also supposed to be in this documentary but richard didn't tell him he would be filming in america.
So Jeremy just shows up to the BBC and screams out "HAMMOND!!!"
Cool!
Wind is made from Hot and Cold temperatures, The high and lows as these temperature collide, and change these molecules, Makes STORMS. The stronger the storms, the stronger the winds. Same with the Jet Stream. That why wind is Humid or Dry
8.05secs (or there abouts) Richard is battling the wind, which reminds me of going to work, 3 miles walking against the wind the morning after the Great Storm of '87... Far too windy to cycle that morning.
That was the night i was brought home from being born
Where Does Wind Come From?? lol
LoL. From the south, the north, the east and west. Sometimes southwest, southeast, on and on, and tornadoes…….woo-hooooooooooooo!
well I'm living far far away from these tornadoes but I don't know about u guys living near these places as Reeds and his type of people storm chasers are so neglected and underrated as risking their lives to study and research about this events to create and design safety warning andprecaution for the mass and help save lives as much as possible and now you tell me where is the gratitude and appreciation will be graded and you have only 43 comments...😨😦😢😰😞😩
That much $ on a wind machine I would think that would be able to lift Hammond right up, very cool none the less.
So if im in the southern Hemisphere which i am do i need the wind in my face or at my back?
That would depend on your situation. If you're in a car, and you need to pull over, you want to turn it so that it's hitting the front rather the side or back. If you're standing outside, and you have nowhere to get inside, you still want to face the wind, because you're still more likely to be able to brace yourself and avoid getting knocked over. Just remember that a cyclone spins clockwise. You're more likely to be blown forward if the wind is to your back. If the wind is spinning counterclockwise, it's coming from your right if you're facing it, and of course, the opposite is true if it's spinning clockwise.
@@heatherstub umm wth u talkin bout lol I think u still stand with the wind at ur back.
Richard Hammond's narration is top tier
I agree 💯
"This car climbed Mount Washington"! It no longer has any brakes or transmission.
In the lab test couldn't you scale up speed measurements to full size
Seems that all the wind and rain comes to England
Your not the first to walk into a twister bro
Hate too break it to you but myself and lots of people have done so😂
It's a pity you didn't get blown off tv screens
Richard is best. Funny to know, no animal or plant on land would not survive if wind didnt exists.
It would be great to add infos in km/h and kilos... as the rest of the world has no clue about mph and pounds ;-)
I used to think the winds comes from earth rotation and controlled by Ocean and trees around! Am I right?
Why does Reed wear his earphones like that 🤦🏼♀️
maybe he was in Australia and had to wear the earphones upside down
It was funny see that Asian Chineses man be speek with verry funny Accénts
😃😃😂😂😁😁😀😂😄😄😅😅
I thought winds came from
Santa Ana.
Don’t take comments??
Wind comes from f a r ting
He's from VR and does not exist
Most of the wind 💨 that circulates around the UK originates from my bottom 💩💩💨💨
THAT'S AN EASY QUESTION !! the heat of sun and the cold from north and south pole are the engine and the fuel this is basic science and
another reason why the earth is a globe ................. NOT FLAT EARTH !!!!! if the earth were flat there would be NO WINTER/ SPRING/ SUMMER / FALL
Not really. You just been conditioned to believe that way and never learned the alternative.
U do know things can be directed like heat or cold.
A true shaman can steer the vortex. They have to know both sides in order to become one.
Okay, I clicked. You got me. If this turns out to be a fart joke after all, I'm going to hate myself.
Reverse which bit for Southern Hemisphere? Not very clear on that dicky.
Errr, the bit he just said? That most people understood? It is hardly the presenters faultif the viewer is hard of thinking.
Richard is love! really sometimes I wish i was a woman after seeing him and his shows...
we have also love
@@Beamng-g Are you? How very brave of you to announce it on YT
That's gay as hell
@@hogwashmcturnip8930 nice try at being funny..
@@l3gendarylag805 Not nearly as good as you being a total prat! Did it take much practice or were you born that way?
As soon as the scientist is late, you know it's Reed Timmer and his ridiculous,... thing.
I don't like Timmer. He's too arrogant to be a tornado chaser.
They called a scientist and Timmer shows up. Someone messed up.
*Give the video a thumb down for the appalling sound balance, folks!*
4 angels blow all the wind from the 4 corners. The earth is flat.
Ok
um no
It's windy whenever God eats beans
