This lesson is the main riff from the song "Caught In The Middle" from the Dio band's 1983 debut classic Holy Diver album.
Vivian Campbell was the guitarist alongside legendary vocalist Ronnie James Dio and every song on Holy Diver could be considered a classic.
"Caught In The Middle" is one of the least mentioned tunes and gets lost in the shuffle when talking about Dio guitar riffs, I think because of it's ultra simplicity. At least on the surface. But the difficulty is keeping things clean and in time with the chords.
Dive in and have fun learning this killer riff!
Tuning is standard
Tone is from my Kramer Striker with DiMarzio Tone Zone pick ups (bridge) going into a Friedman JJ Jr and then into Two Notes Captor X using a 3rd party IR based on a Marshall 412 cab with greenbacks.
