Honestly, feel like the Ultra's aren't given the respect they deserve. Easily the best out of the three, just for the fit and comfort alone which would suit most people's foot. MG version is also the best for AG out of the 3.
I'd go with the F50 simply because of the less grippy surface. It becomes difficult to drag the ball or do an elastico without tripping because of the excessive grip.
I love pumas commitment to making a more old school hardcore speedboot with modern tech. The mercs and f50s seems to be leaning on nostalgia a bit more tbh. All great I'm sure.
The Elite is the same as the miJ, just the FG version does not have a plastic insert. But they are not leather, so there is no difference in the materia
Very surprised to hear the Ultra's have the thickest upper out of the 3. Looking at it I can't imagine anything thinner, and I found the touch to be too raw for my tastes when shooting. I was testing them alongside the Mizuno Alpha and the alpha's sponge cage really makes a difference. Out of all the Speed boots I'd say the Alpha is number 1 then the Ultra. The F50's would be last.
For me, I'll probably still choose the Mizuno Alpha Japans if I'm honest. They've just got it all - amazing fit, very light, great lockdown and heel lock in and a fantastic, snappy and responsive outsole. /Jay
I got a pair to try after recording the video, and as expected, they're too tight when I go down half a size, which is a shame. Otherwise it would've been a natural solution - but it means that right now, I'm stuck in between sizes. /Jay
The softness on the upper of the vapor 16s doesn’t it make it an easy choice against the upper of the f50s which is more plasticky? I’ve only felt the upper in store briefly
I got the Nike Vapor Superfly 10 and I have wide flat feet. This is the first shoe I can wear and run out of the box without pain in my mid foot. Basically requires no break in time, I was already running in them right out of the box. I couldn’t do that with Superfly 9, those I had to walk around 3-4 sessions before training in them. Well done Nike 👏👏
If its not too personal, may I ask how tall you are and how much you weigh ?? Why its important to me is because every video someone gives a different review based on their own feet, so its hard to know if it will fit me also.. I am only 1.77m and 60kg and I need a slim boot, for example to GX 2 are way to wide for me, unfortunate because I like them the most but can never wear them..
@@shamreazahmed8170 I'd try the FG version side by side if you can. I didn't like the AG version. It's missing the plate in the forefoot meaning it lacks that responsive snap back. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have the Enerzy foam either. Generally it didn't feel as nice underfoot as the FG.
@@RagingMist The AG made in Japan version I’ll have to consider then. I can’t do fg on AG surface, even if FG is suitable for it I just don’t want to take the risk. I saw this horrible non contact injury happen right in front of me and I’ve been put off ever since. Crazy thing was that same week I was looking to get FG boots.
@@shamreazahmed8170 I understand. If you do get the MIJ version do let us know the difference between non-MIJ. For the AG version I can't see there being any difference at all. The elite version has no plate, so I doubt the MIJ does as well, but even then it's not worth double the price
@@RagingMist I’ve read up and the mij AG does have the energy foam and karvo insert. What’s crazy is Jay did a top 5 AG boots for 2024 and the mizuno alpha elites were ranked first ahead of Nike and puma. Which says a lot considering they were only the mizuno alpha elites he ranked first ahead of the rest and not the MIJ.
IMO the Alphas are very similar to the F50, with the Alphas having the edge in just about everything. Better lockdown due to zero glide, crazy responsive due to the karvo insert, and a very similar shape and upper design to the classic F50 shape. Once broken in the Alpha upper is fantastically soft and the build quality on the MIJ is amazing. The only thing I might say is the sole plate is just chunky triangular studs which are good but maybe not as nimble feeling as the F50. Compared to the vapor it’s almost apples to oranges. I haven’t played in mine yet just breaking them in but it’s a completely different experience to the other two. My personal preference would be Alpha > vapor > F50(albiet I didn’t get a chance to use the messis). I can see myself growing to love the vapors more as I play in them so it’s close between those two.
@sejinjang4541 Allright. I will make my decision In a couple of weeks so please keep me updated. I'm thinking of ordering all of them to see which ones fit my foot best. But I won't be able to play in them all, just trying on. So would love to hear what u think of the vapors once broken in.
@@umbra8261 After 2 pickup sessions and a few trainings I have some things that are worth note to me. I like the amount of grip from the gripknit, and the shaping is comfortable for my moderately wide foot TTS. The traction is great and the bite from the chevrons is better on maintained FG than the previous tristars IMO. The zoom is more noticable and I like it. The one huge downside for me is that the lockdown suffers quite a bit from the upper not having any rigid structure. They are going to play alongside my alphas in my rotation, but I would recommend them if you can stand gripknit!

For wide feet I thought it would make sense to avoid the ultra since they fit long.
Any plans to make a comparison between the f50+ and the carbon 5?
the ultra are too grippy i got the ultimate 5 and they are really grippy i need time to adjust this situation
