Indisputably; Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb - Pulse Live concert. In fact, this entire concert deserves your attention. Also, from the album (Dark Side Of The Moon), the songs (Time and The Great Gig in the Sky) studio versions.

Okay, so here are some rules that every new Pink Floyd listener must follow, these are well established rules by every Pink Floyd fan in existence; It is for your own safety... and soul. Rule No.1) Always wear headphones. Theres a lot of sound layers that are part of the musical composition. Rule No.2) Never EVER... I'll repeat; NEVER Pause or Talk during a David Gilmour guitar solo. When you mentioned it was "Sold Out", it was "SOLD OUT" twenty three nights in a row in this location in London! When Pink Floyd does a concert I swear people will leave in the middle of their own wedding to go stand in line for tickets! Nobody on Earth does a show like Pink Floyd! Actually they're only using about a third of their lights for this song. Check out "Comfortably Numb" or "Sorrow" from this same 1994 Pulse concert if you want to see a real light show! And actually any song from this concert is pretty amazing! You've opened Pandora's Box here with Pink Floyd & they have an incredible catalog of songs, great songs!! Enjoy, because with Pink Floyd it's hard not to!
😂 at ppl leaving their own weddings!! That’s MAJOR LOL. Thank u soooo much and ur right about Pandora’s Box!! I’m on a journey to enjoy and deliver the best I can! 😎 Thanks for watching!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️
@@paulwilkinson8347 I saw them in 1974 for their Dark Side of the Moon tour. Saw them in 77 for the In the Flesh tour where they played all of "Animals", all of "Wish You Were Here" and half of "Dark Side of The Moon" for their encore. Saw them in 87 for the momentary lapse of Reason tour. And saw them in 94 for the pulse tour. All four were mind blowing! I feel very fortunate!!
You forgot to mention ' One of these days and Run Like Hell ' when it comes to the lights, One of these days closed one section and Run Like Hell closed the show so they went all out to please us in the crowd.
'The backing singers....they own it!' Good point. They were a big part of their live shows. They used the same group of women and they were all friends with the band. I've always thought they are brilliant.
I met David Gilmour in 1984 back stage at a concert in Hollywood Calif. He gave me a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shock both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well.
BTW, Pink Floyd pretty much invented the light show. Started in underground freak-outs and Richard Wright put two picture slides with oil in between then and put them into a projector onto the band. Album versions, you’ll get what the bass and all instruments were intended to sound like. Lives great, studio stuff (with headphones or GREAT SPEAKERS) PERFECT.
There’s a huge difference between education and indoctrination, I totally relate to these lyrics..... the greatest gift is to teach your kids to question and think for themselves, but that really doesn’t suit our authoritarian establishment dressed up as ‘democracy’ this is a pretty heavy song

The BIGGER half circle SCREEN is an extension of the already big video screen that has been part of their show for years. The lights around either are always in motion, pivoting and change color for what ever they want. BTW, the Wall is a concept album/Movie/Stage show that tells a story of a kid named PINK. Pink Floyd doesn’t really do “Singles”, they tell stories. See/listen to it all in one sitting will help but this may take a few times to get “it”. It’s DEEP!
I saw this same show in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap frogged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION…
Like I said before. Man made the Fender Guitar. God made David to play it. He can sure make a guitar talk. You're just scratching the surface. Because every song is so great.
Welcome to the world of the Floyd- I've been a fan since hearing on FM Radio a tune from Pink Floyd... and had to wait a week before the stores got Ummagumma in 1969- and still have all their albums. They are timeless masters of music, instruments, and sound effects- to combine with the sublime light shows of the 80s and 90s to make true masterpieces for us to enjoy. But I'm not your key demographic: we KNOW the music, we want to see YOUR reaction, and frankly we're all rooting for you to love it... so let your enjoyment shine through: that's what we want to see. Greetings from Canada. Be safe.
Older concerts are sold out. Put in echoes live in the Gdansk that's in Poland. They had to put the concert in a big huge ship building yard and you ought to see all the people there and they do a concert full concert but echoes is a real good one there and they got all their other ones too.
This touring line-up had two drummers, Nick Mason, Floyd's original drummer, and Gary Wallis. He switched between percussion and extra drums. Speaking of Guy Pratt's bass playing, his slapping technique is more prominent on One Of These Days and the last track, Run Like Hell, has a fantastic lighting show. 😊 Both are from the same Pulse concert as this one and definitely amongst my favourites, alongside Sorrow, Take It Back, Shine On You Crazy Diamond and High Hopes.
