I had my boat boarded while i was on board in Marmaris anchored along the beach. Since i no longer have a dinghy and use a kayak and everything being open someone swam out thinking no one was on board while i was cooking in the galley and climbed up the swim ladder. Always best to play it safe.
Wowsers, that would have been a little scary, hope you gave the person the scare of his life haha. Yes we always lock up now, it's not worth the worry. Thanks for letting us know, not somewhere I would have thought with so many people on the beach. Take care and hope you enjoyed the video!
@@SailingKawai thanks. He was surpised by me and when i told him to get off he said wait as he was trying to catch his breath as i was not close to shore so a good swim out. I do not think it was an innocent swim out as i have anchored there many times over the two years and this was definitely an opportunity. He was a youngish guy maybe mid twenties. There would have been no reason to swim out to my boat as nobody does that in Marmaris.
@@SailingKawai i recently met an expat who has been living on his boat here in TR for nine years and he said there have been more and more break ins here. Cheers
Ooh geez, summer in Europe. Gotta love ‘m. Such wonderful views! Spectacular color schemes! Love it. Cannot wait to get back on board our own boat again this weekend. It’s gonna be a solid 34°C here in The Netherlands so that will almost be like Kas, haha! Enjoy guys! Love your summer vibe vids! 🎉
Thanks Jochem, appreciate it! Awesome, enjoy the water, thats warmer than Greece where we are currently :). What type of boat do you have? Thanks again for the kind words and great to hear from you as always, take care and have fun!!
@@SailingKawai We're sailing a Bavaria C42. Without the bow sprit though so technically she's a 40Ft., haha. Really love the new design and self-tacking jib. Hope to sail the Med one day when the kids are a older ❤ Fair winds!
Good to see you guys back in the med, another polished vlog with plenty of interesting information, tell me, overall what is your impression of TURKEY, I'm really interested in the official side of things, ie, customs, agents, paperwork, I know the people are very nice , any info would be greatly appreciated .
Thanks very much, we always try to provide us much information to help other yachties as possible :). Turkey has been very easy, it's the only country where we have used an agent. Both agents were fantastic and did everything, really professional and made it easy checking in and checking out of the country. We did find the blue card experience a little stressful, as some areas don't have pump out stations or they are broken. You see many coast guards and the stress of a large fine was always on our mind if it wasn't achievable on time as you need to pump out every 15 days. Otherwise we really enjoyed our time and the people are really nice as you mentioned. If you have further questions just ask, hope that helps :). Fair winds
Beautiful water and coastline , and in summer it looks even better , i havent been to Turkey , but Kas looks fantastic , and did Jason not find a hairdresser yet? ;)

What is your favourite Turkish town to visit and why? Hope you enjoy the video!
Kas is up there, but when I last visited we tied up in the town harbour - only a handful of fishing boats around then.
Brilliant
Thanks so much!
