I think the nicest touch of the series was when Ronnie cried. It was so heartfelt and I thought the actress herself was just so proud of her character (best roasts!) And it came through
This series means so much to me and this episode, with the "talk", made me so happy. My parents will never have that talk with my partner because neither of them accept that I'm gay and seeing a character I identify with (Patrick) be able to have that conversation with his partner's parent really made me feel validated and it felt as if I was able hear that from a parental figure myself. Thank you, Dan Levy, for making this show and showing that queer characters can be accepted unquestionably by their community and families (even if those families are a little awkward about it sometimes 😅).
