If you EVER visit Switzerland and are willing to teach someone 50+ a few beginners lessons - I would be jumping for joy. I have NO skills at all, but I love my Flowsaber so much that it would be so nice to have some trainings lessons with an expert like you. To see what the Flowsaber can do in the hands of an expert is simply amazing. Thanks for creating this review.
Thank you for the review. Been thinking of getting one. I have sabers from a lot of other companies and they have pros and cons to each one. Probably will buy this one. Thank you.
You mentioned in the beginning that you like the fact that the sabre moves naturally, that you do not have to fight it. That is exactly the reason for the solid steel pommel, to compensate for the weight of the blade. It could break your jaw if you are not careful, but without the weight at the end the blade would not work this smoothly.
In one of my sabers, I had to wrap lead foil around the battery to shift the balance toward the back. Also could use a lighter-weight blade to help with the same goal. Seems like Flowsaber solved this with a really heavy pommel.
Less weight would definitely be nice. I'm hoping to use a light saber as a flow wand, combining techniques from both to make it look like I'm using the force to levitate the saber sometimes, and it'll be really hard to do unless I can get the weight down. Would love to see what others can do with this too... the plan is to treat it like a long-string flow wand anchored to a choker or collar. It should mostly still be able to do normal saber spins, with the added bonus of being able to let go now and then for what appears to be hands-free moves.
Yet, without the weight at the end, the weight distribution of the whole saber would be changed, and while it would be easy for them to change the material of the end bit to make it lighter, it may not be easy to change the material of everything else to compensate for the change.
Great review, great Saber! Here are some easy fixes for your complaints... Button: You nailed it, it needs a long shut off switch. If you're savvy with a soldering iron, you can swap it out yourself without too much trouble. Emitter: Personally, I'd just grab a farriers rasp and file the edges down, then smooth them out with sandpaper. Easy fix. Blade Length: Either stick a shorter blade in it or cut the blade length down with a skilsaw or saws-all, then sand the edge. This will allow you to get to the exact length you actually want. Pummel Weight: If you reduce the weight of the pummel it will not spin the same, or as easily. If they reduce the pummel weight they will need to also reduce all hilt weight to maintain the ratio. Also adding more hilt length will increase the overall weight. So this one is not really an easy fix. You need the counterweight to generate good centrifugal force, but you don't want it to be heavy to the point of becoming an essential mace. You could take a drill bit and core out the central interior of the pommel cap to reduce the weight. Just bear in mind doing so will change the way the saber spins. Love your vids, Hope these suggestions help. :)
I write fantasy stories with energy swords, that are similar to lightsabers from Star Wars. Your videos are nice inspiration. Energy swords from my setting are ideal for this type of combat. That's because the wielder actually has limited control over the shape of the blade. This makes spinning a lot more useful because you can change the shape of the blade mid-swing and attack. And also VERY IMPORTANT is the fact that energy blade is actually shaped and shielded in subconscious level telekinetically to flow around the wielder instead of hurting his/her body. It's great to watch your videos since it gets me the grasp on how the fighting style with energy swords would look like in my setting.😎
If we can master projected personal forcefields, we can control the physical via virtual objects. A blade that is an extension of your personal field but otherwise doesn't exist can be treated as virtual by you but is made very functional outside of the field.
I saw the first 30 seconds of this and thought "She's definitely a baton twirler!" That is so cool that you've leveraged that experience into a career! I just got into lightsaber dueling and found that most of the saber hilts my friends have are really terrible for twirling like my batons. I'm definitely going to check out the rest of your videos!

Your reviews are so In depth and helpful! Thank you! I'm glad you are so prominent in this culture, a lot of how you like your saber set up is exactly how i feel i want mine built. They don't sell gen 1 any more, Maybe I'll find one for sale somewhere, This hilt reminds me of the flamberge v2 from Ultrasabers, which is the one i am currently waiting on, but i put a simple sleek emitter, not the 3 bladed cross gaurd. I probably would have got one of these if i had found out sooner, but even now they are all out of stock. Would love to see a review if you ever do get a gen 2! I am def. Going to get a flowsaber eventually. Got back into this hobby, as a mental health thing for myself.. Got one for my son too , and a couple he can share with his to be friends at the park. Your tutorials are most helpful as well. You need to be in the movie!
1:22 "I really like the weight, it makes it good for spinning" 8:13 "The counterbalance is too heavy" 9:50 "it is weighted beautifully" I mean... your favourite thing about it is it is weighted beautifully but you want the counterweight to be lighter ...
taken in context, they all do make sense 1:22 - lol click it. at that exact time, she specifically says "the way the weight is evenly distributed throughout the saber is really nice". so here she's talking about the overall balance of prop and how it is better than some of the other sabers specifically for spinning. 8:13 - if you back up to 7:50, now she talking about the overall weight. its heavier than the other sabers and she doesn't like that all the weight is centered in the solid metal cap because a missed spin and that hitting you is going to leave a mark. 9:50 - ummm... you cut out the context that is within the same sentence lol... back it up to 9:47 and she says, "out of all my 3 lightsabers that I have, this is my favorite by far because it is weighted beautifully for SPINNING". see also goes on to say that she likes others for combat better but for tricks, this is her go to. So they all do make sense, you just segmented parts that sounded conflicting but she actually explains everything in detail.
Just a thought, but do you think that the Ultra Sabers Blades would work with your flow saber? You can get shorter blades and that might solve part of the problem.
Jennifer Brandt well rey can beat anyone She is the bestest jedi ever. The mary sue of mary sues. She beat luke, kylo and all without any training. The political agenda of the writers combined with their total lack of care for storytelling, character development or respect for how the star wars universe was set up to world ruined the new trilogy. Fans even hated the prequels... Now we can manipulate light sabers as total beginners better than trained jedis. We can destroy stuff by lightspeeding through it.
Take a look at The Custom Saber Shop online. You could put together a hilt of whatever length you like and a very plain one that works for twirling. There is a tool as part of their forum site that allows you to select different hilts, pommels, extensions, etc to see what the saber will look like and how long it will be. I am in no way affiliated with them but am considering building and purchasing one from them. I used to be a Drum Major and my skills are not what they used to be but you have inspired me to have some fun with it all again!
I've done a light saber from scratch a month ago, mine is inspired (not copied) from the original graflex one, and has bulky things on the hilt. Next i'm going to build will be "cleaner" (and red bladed 😈) . One thing i have searched is a button that is easy to turn on but difficult to turn off, mine has light too, as you have on that sword hilt. If you press only a bit it works as a pulsating button, but if you press a bit more deep it stays on without having to press it all time. That makes when turning off you have to press deeper and never ever it will turn off randomly when using it. Another thing i have calculated is the lenght it has to had having in mind my height, because, if not, it could touch the floor. You could see it here in some images and videos: instagram.com/p/Be9DBTmFdiP/ If you search on my gallery you could see the stand i have done by scratch too. Congrats for your channel, i love your videos!!
Like when you use washers to balance some of your staves the weight of the pommel is what balances out the blade. Perhaps they should have something padded there around that piece. Have a couple friends that have some early Saberfoge sabers, that had that sharp edge on elongated cutouts down the hilt. It also had a couple of points too, but when handling those edges did draw blood unexpectedly, and they filed those edges to round them over. The sabers became known as "Blood-Sabers" in our circles. On the Switch, you need a momentary switch, but really require the added electronics that are in the sound cards. That's why stunt sabers are usually a latching switch. Also noticed the Set Screws (especially the one for blade retention) look like they might not be flush or recessed below the surface. The threads on those can be almost as sharp as those other edges, especially with repeated contact. Get a set screw 1/8" or 1/16" shorter. Most hardware stores carry them and easy to replace. You're doing some amazing stuff!! Thanks for keeping people inspired!
You are easily the coolest woman I have ever seen! If Disney+ doesn't pick you up for a Mara Jade or Jaina Solo Star Wars story I am going on strike! Subscribing 1k times!
Michelle, The reason why the blade emitter (?) has those notches, is because it is the top end of a Mag-Lite flashlight! I do security work and I recognized that right off the bat. The classic style is rounded, have them/tell them to use that one.
Seems like the lightsaber you need should be built according to a ninja sword specs.... my neighbor has one from saber forge that seems to be exactly what you described that you wanted.
I'm so glad there are sabers with actual hilts on the market. I can't do the crazy shit you do, but I have a background in longsword and appreciate the room and smoothness to change grip easily. That's such an important part of swords that people don't think about.
Please tell me why you can't take the blade out and cut off 2 or 3 inches then that solves your problem , oh and while your at it get a smaller lighter pommel and get some sand paper and sand down the sharp edges will that not fix your problems and as for the button just make sure they change it to a 3second hold to turn off , just trying to help love your work though from Australia .
I had the same switch problem with a different company what I did is I cut a switch gaurd out of a foam matt then hot melt glued it on going around the side of the piece then just a little over the side curve of the saber so it won't come off when doing a manuvere. You probably could also contact a mold maker to make a casting of the but cap end and then cast it in foam also.
She should be the wildcard that appears and kills Rey, Kylo Ren and crushes BB-8, then announces to everyone she is the grandaughter of Darth Maul and pay back is a bitch.

never heard of them ... a suggestion though. you can trim the blade length ...and is it mhs compatible? you could buy a lighter pommel from someone like the custom saber shop or ultrasabers? a standard sound cap would be super light of it fit. wouldn't provide as good of an end grip to keep your hand from sliding off though.

Many stunt sabers do as I have two already. I wouldn't be interested in this one without the FOC or sound.
you can always, very easily, add sound in post like she has.
Degobabe Skywalker you got a sub from me!
Love all your tutorials especially your lightsaber skills of the month, I've learned a lot and can't wait for the next one! Keep up the awesome work
Beautiful saber, been wanting one myself, seems they haven't made a new batch in a while though
LOVE the ending comment :) Thanks for sharing and you're an amazing artist ... keep flowing!!!
Wow, the force is strong with you. A POWERFUL JEDI.....YOU WILL BECOME! Lol
CASH VAZ unless she sucomes to the dark side... we have cookies
Your saber moves are incredible. Your level of skill reminds me of the airline commercial that says, "The reason First Class is there is to remind you that you're not in First Class." Sigh.
Did this just recently go semi-viral?

Yep, basically
Nah, it was just recently paid to be advertised
You can do that?

OnePlus 7 release
i find it amazing when they balance the saber hilt and the saber blade because of this! I would love to see the double bladed version
Another pro to the Flowsaber... You can end your enemies rightly! LOL
She is good at showing off the saber but is she good at using it for legit combat that's what I want to see
Kodak?
*P O M M E L*
The Force is strong with this person!May the Force be with you:)
I love your tricks. You rock like hell. I hope they fix your problems. I guess it's just a matter of time. I do freestyle hanbo myself but i'm far far away from your skills.
Greetings from Germany.
1:22 "I really like the weight, it makes it good for spinning"
8:13 "The counterbalance is too heavy"
9:50 "it is weighted beautifully"
I mean... your favourite thing about it is it is weighted beautifully but you want the counterweight to be lighter ...
taken in context, they all do make sense
1:22 - lol click it. at that exact time, she specifically says "the way the weight is evenly distributed throughout the saber is really nice". so here she's talking about the overall balance of prop and how it is better than some of the other sabers specifically for spinning.
@@r3zin His point is that if they lighten the end it wont spin like she wants it too.
Just a thought, but do you think that the Ultra Sabers Blades would work with your flow saber? You can get shorter blades and that might solve part of the problem.
You could use the force to help. Just a suggestion
OMG the force is strong‼
Well done Grand Master‼
May the force be with you…
Always………
We went from Jedi Knights!...
To Dancers with light sabers
Yey
Rey could beat her lol
Jennifer Brandt well rey can beat anyone
She is the bestest jedi ever.
What brand of lightsaber you recommend good for this?
break a blade? girl they are made for full contact sparing. dont worry about dropping lol
You could see it here in some images and videos:
instagram.com/p/Be9DBTmFdiP/
If you search on my gallery you could see the stand i have done by scratch too.
I will be looking for your name in the credits of Rise of the Skywalker
Satoru I stop breaking my heart with reality
A page turner, they are not
You are easily the coolest woman I have ever seen! If Disney+ doesn't pick you up for a Mara Jade or Jaina Solo Star Wars story I am going on strike! Subscribing 1k times!
;) You love long hilts do you?...
...Too bad for me then :(
@nic sharp But what if my lightsaber has performance problems and occasionally won't even ignite?
StopAndListen then you just need to practice with your other “powers” instead ;)
It didn't stop Master Yoda...
Its always about size with these women 🤣
Michelle,
The reason why the blade emitter (?) has those notches, is because it is the top end of a Mag-Lite flashlight!
"rey's a mary sue" tch, sure this lass would prove you wrong
I mean Rey IS a mary sue character. I like Daisy Ridley as an actress I just hate the writing for the Disney SW fan films.
Why aren't you Rey or Mara Jade in Star wars. Hopefully they delete ep 8 though
You should be Rey in Episode 9 please!
She should be the wildcard that appears and kills Rey, Kylo Ren and crushes BB-8, then announces to everyone she is the grandaughter of Darth Maul and pay back is a bitch.
Outstanding review! Short, sweet and to the point! There are numerous 'reviews' with too much babble. I like the fact that this is what you say it is! Maybe, being a pro has alot to do with that.
Some great stunts too! You've obviously put alot of time and effort into your training - which has paid off and spades! Great work! Ya got my sub!
Verse me in lightsaber combat you'll never beat my unorthodox style
Lady, you're amazingly awesome. I hope you get all the fame you deserve and all the credits for you work.
WHY IS SHE NOT IN THE NEW STAR WARS?! ANSWER COWARDS!!
lol i watch a lot of Star Trek videos and yet I’m a fan of Star Wars but watch little to no videos on Star Wars so this is a random recommendation and i literally couldn’t be any happier! Wow! i wanna learn how to do this! you lady, are one bad ass Jedi master! This is like some teräs ksäi jedi move set!
just get a smaller blade
never heard of them ... a suggestion though. you can trim the blade length ...and is it mhs compatible? you could buy a lighter pommel from someone like the custom saber shop or ultrasabers? a standard sound cap would be super light of it fit. wouldn't provide as good of an end grip to keep your hand from sliding off though.
You ARE a badass ninja chick !!! You totally need to be in a Star Wars movie ...get on that will ya ? I wish there were chicks like you back in my day 👍👍👍
What size blade do you use? I believe they have various sizes of the blades. They also have lightweight blades for more acrobatic moves as well as heavyweight blades for dueling.
I find your lack of volume disturbing.
Can't you buy shorter blades?? Awesome video
Just a lot of spins and twirls, much closer to baton twirling then actual saber dueling. She definitely has skill , just not as a Jedi 👍
TheGeechman exactly what I thought. she needs a pole
The Force is strong with you! Thanks for the excelent videos!! I'm also a lightsaber fighter since I was 15 years old. But you are much better than me, I need to traine a lot more. Your videos helps me a lot with my trainins here on Brasil, thank you very much, you are awesome!!!! May the Force be with you!!
you're not very good at lightsabers. you dont even have the high ground or a fedora.
Do you recommend any other sabers?
I can’t seem to find anything on flowsaber. Not sure if they are no longer in business, but I can’t find their website.
Thank you
