Let’s get those hands synced up with this epic riff from Chris Wolstenholme!
I'm running my bass through a Darkglass Microtubes X Ultra, an EHX Bass Microsynth, and an EHX deluxe bass Big Muff (all in parallel) for that thick synthy tone.

HES LIKE THE BETTER VERSION OF "COVER SOLUTIONS"
YOU JUST EARND A FOLLOWER
Mate! This is banging! Incredible. Well done sir. Did you by chance use a phaser as well?
Which program/software do you use to make tabs?
Gabriel Pasillas he uses guitar pro 7 it costs around70$
Brusdebass Do you know if exist any program/software for free? I don’t have a single dólar mate.
when nathan releases a cover... you can be sure that it's going to be THE best and most accurate one on youtube.
Most accurate comment ever!
I commented first before reading yours now i have to change mine 🙃
agreed, BUT this time (cant tell why, if im honest) i personally dislike your sound.
Usually i LOVE it.
But flawless as like always, love your vids
Check Patrick Hunter
@@withapick8730 Patrick is awesome!!
Not only is this very accurate, the bass tone sounds really good too!
What do you play apex legends on? We should jam!
Why Nathan doesn't have more subscribers is beyond me.
He doesn't sell out and keeps it real with the best bass content available online.
He's only recently started making more videos. These tab playalongs are new too. He'll see numbers start to shoot up. I think he was more focused on playing live previously than his youtube channel, but this is one good thing to come out of the coronavirus times.
how do you even sell this out? i'm not arguing or anything i just have never personally thought about that ever
@@oldethangoogleacc8484 check the bassists who make quantity of quality. Who spend more time talking about absolutely nothing to get ad revenue.
Check the bassists who are wonderful performers but trade the bass in for memes and clout.
Nathan has a record of creativity, faithfulness, and humility. That's something you will not find on those other channels.
@@JBirdBobbyJ oh that makes sense. i agree that those kinds of musicians are annoying. it's extremely annoying to get ads on instagram that say things like "how to succeed as a musician in 2020" or whatever, totally ignoring how it really works and not explaining it. those ads never explain how money gets passed around or how performers actually get paid
@@JBirdBobbyJ i totally agree with you. i know that bassist who are wonderful performers but trade the bass for memes and clout. in the beginning i like to watch him but in the end it feels different
just played it at 1.25x speed and I've never been more proud of myself
Sounds like Red Hot Chili Peppers at that speed ha!
@@TonyArechigaoh it does sound like them 😮😮😮
thats crazy bro, im stuck on .75 right now man. i hope to get there
it starts getting chaotic from 0.9@@choccy8379
😅
Anyone who can perfectly play that song on bass like that deserves great respect. Gzz
Alejandra Villarreal of the band "The Warning" was playing this song on bass...at age 8. Check it out on youtube. Search "Hysteria Muse Cover Practice Dany, Pau & Ale"
Nathan's tone is always perfect. Nasty low end but still clean and not muddy, you can clearly distinguish the notes when he's playing. Nailed it as always
One of the greatest bass lines ever.
The stamina required for this song is just nuts!! I'm tired just watching him!
What a thing to wake up to this morning
I will call myself 'I know Playing Bass' when I nail this at %50 speed. Anyway always pleasure to watch your covers. You are always inspiring. Thanks a lot.
Bro you are PUMPING these covers out. What a time to be learning bass!
He looks so relaxed playing this. It's pretty amazing!
Bro I tried so hard to learn this when the song was new and I was like 10, think it helped me get into a couple of bands with older dudes lol
How do you get opportunities like this? I don’t have many friends that play instruments and want to play with people or get more opportunities
👏👏👏👌
I play bass for couple years and really want to do this song. Years ago, I was like "its impossible ! I will never be able to play this". Tonight i was almost able. I progress slowly but I still progress and one day I will play it.
i love those cowbells in the beginning, reminds me learning bass in yousician
spot on😂😂
Oh yeah! Love that fuzz tone!!
Thanks, Nate! I play the cello, and I can't read tabs very well, but the notes on top are very useful for learning this piece! Keep up the great work!
Always a treat to watch Chris Wolstenholme play this whenever I get to see Muse live
Wow this is incredible! Thanks for all the work you do.
What a tone! You rock!
This is absolutely beyond words. What a heck of a job.
Amazing work... Great cover 🤯🤯🤯💥🔥... Very awasome and powerful bass tone... Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴
I am amazed !
That was perfect man 🤘👌
Really impressed!!!!
Well done!!!!
This is very impressive Nice job man!
So difficult to play....great job man!!! Chapeau! 😳
Merci Nate. C'est un véritable plaisir de voir et d'écouter votre jeu à la basse, je ne me lasse pas de regarder.
I was waiting this for a year I love muse
THAT TONE IS INsANE
Absolutely killing it. Nice.
I finally learnt this song over the last week, the blisters on the blisters on my two pluck fingers show how much it’s been played. A year ago I thought this song was impossible to learn but after watching your bass cover and hammering at the tabs, I finally nailed it, at full speed 🎉🤘🏻
Keep crushing it, bro! 🦾
Not quite there yet, but I'm getting to it. Thanks for this cover, mate. 🔥🔥🔥 Keep it up
one of my fav songs nice work friend
Nates fretting hand is so fluent and perfect even back when this was released.
Brilliant, thank you!
Hey Nathan, please do some Q&A! You sound really interesting and I'm sure many others would love to learn more about your touring and recording experiences!!
Damn, you NAILED that tone Nathan. \m/
That intro gives me 2009 UA-cam vibes and I'm absolutely here for it
My man be pumping those out!
Thanks nathan, this was really useful
love the bass line
This so Rad! I been listening to Muse since Origin of Symmetry early 2000s
Great!!! Thanks for it!
Excellent !!! 👌👌👌
Amazing
이거보고 연습했어요 감사합니다
Thank u
Great job
ありがとうございます!
Good job!
Flawless!
This is Nate's warmup probably everyday
THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING SHEET MUSIC!
very nice thanks for sharing
that tone is rather amazing
AMAZING
awesome!
Best tone in youtube
Super & vielen Dank für ihre schnelle und perfekt Spiel
How do you keep your right arm relaxed when working at that pace? Maybe it's because I'm underdeveloped in terms of sheer stamina/speed but I feel like I need to raise my elbow/arm to match and maintain speed even to play open strings along with the video
Usually i rest my thumb on my pickup and raise my right elbow whenever i start feeling tired then i would revert back to the normal playing position
Master Dean Town by Vulfpeck at normal speed and this will be an absolute breeze (speaking from experience)
I’d say try playing from the neck pickup (if you have a Jazz bass or similar) because the strings are softer and you don’t have to bend your elbow back far.
@@clarissalim1960 Dean town is harder than Hysteria though, that’s like learning to drive a go cart by learning to drive a car first
It’s most likely because you’re overplucking. I know I’m way late but, for others, plucking softer is what made me able to play the song longer, not practicing more.
And to think Alejandra Villarreal of the band "The Warning" was playing this on bass...when she was only 8 years old. big gratz to anyone who learns this!
awesome
Amazing, i like your bass sound, very low and crunchy. Perfect👌🏻 next dream theater maybe?:D
Wow nice one
Nice sound.
Thank you 🙏
I played in acoustic guitar, amazing the same way.thankyou bro
WOW that was amazing, you never disappoint Nate I always enjoy your covers. By the way have you seen Alejandra Villareal from the band the Warning do this cover...She too is an amazing bassist for being only 20 years old. Keep them coming Nate.
Awesome! Btw, have you had the chance to try out the new multi-scale Warwick Corvette yet? I can't find a single video or review of it :/
its very difficult to keep those sixteenth notes going at that speed for that long. Especially with the right hand. Great work! if you have any tips on how to increase your plucking hand speed please let me know
Very awesome cover, it would be nice to know effects and settings tho, thanks a lot!
Don't quote me on this but I THINK he has a volume pedal before (and likely after) his distortion/fuzz pedals, because the amount of input going to the pedals effects how much of the tone is clean. When he goes to a lower volume and the distortion comes off a little, I think that's what's going on. A volume pedal before his other effect pedals.
You"re good, man.
Blistering! 🔥
Amazing cover probably my favorite. I'm glad that I'm found this channel. How long do you playing and how long did you learn that song? Trying to setup the goal lol.
Subscribe 👍
Bravo! Красавчик!!!
Cool🔥
Stay funky bro
Неа, пускай играет, что хочет
@@user-xj7wf1ou7c Not what he meant btw :)
Dang you be underrated
You need a lot of endurance to play this piece. It's also a nice warm up exercise!
Very good line. I'm a metal head my 10 year son as well. Is it possible to add the plucking fingers too? My little boy is at that level of skills and i will impose this one to learn
a whole damn arm workout
Mind if I ask but what is the amp eettings to get this tone ?
Bruh
Fuzz helps, but then again, fuzz tends to take out your bottom end, so get a fuzz pedal with a clean blend option so that you can get fuzz tone without getting buried in the mix.
what works for me is treble off , jazz pickup and drive all the way up , mid high and bass at max

For practice
suggestion, place the tabs above the youtube tracking line. can't see them when paused.
Genial
Monstro
Please cover beastly, man
Can you do dark necessities next?
Hi Nathan! Can you play "Yanni - Rain Must Fall" bass solo?
Muy duro men
What is the thumbrest you have mounted between the pickups? I've been looking and can't find it anywhere!
It's a ramp. They were available a while on e-bay. I have one for a jazz bass.
What do those bracketed s near the end signify?
Those signify harmonics. :)
Good
Couple of change ups but really not that hard for anyone experienced ,but very impressive to create ...master bass
After 3 days
I finally can play the rift 😂
Monster
What effects are you using here?
Can You Make a Bass Cover sokoninaru - tenohira de odoru
That took me two weeks to learn
I finally played it at 100% speed.
This 85% was SORELY needed to get thag jump from 75-100%
