- My new Kraken 580 just now arrived fresh off the UPS truck. This is gonna be an awesome heli. The build starts tonight. I’m using a Xnova 4025 1.5y 1120kv motor, Hobbywing 130 HV speed control, Spektrum 5070 mini servos, a Spektrum 6360hv tail servo, Brain 2 flybarless system, 2 Spektrum carbon fuselage remote receivers, and a 6s 5000mah Spektrum Smart lipo. It is an awesome helicopter. The manual is world class. Just follow it close and you will be in the air fast. Enjoy!
SAB is just on a whole different level with the entire presentation and construction of their helicopters. The 580 is on my short list. ETA - Brain2 FTW:)

Awesome! I had a feeling after watching your video on the Kraken 700, that you would be make the purchase of this little monster. I received mine a couple of days ago and forgot I need to buy the Spektrum Carbon Fuselage Remote Receiver for this build. Thanks for posting the video... can't wait to watch you fly it!

Dude, I’d love to get to IRCHA this year. It’s always the same time as my Bonneville racing event, but we aren’t sure if I’m racing yet. Our car needs some work. So , if we don’t go to Utah, I’ll most likely be there. I’m thinking about driving my truck and trailer with my wife and dogs from Cali to Muncie. 36 hour drive I believe. I haven’t been back to IRCHA since 2014. I miss it. But yeah dude, this Kraken 580 is the Pooh Pooh and I cant wait to ring it out. It would be nice to meet you. I like your image. Totally Gucci. In 3 hours I got about half of it built last night. Now it’s round 2 and it’s 4:30am. Coffee and a Kraken 580. So good.

What service horns did you use for those servos? I'm trying to find metal ones and I can't seem to find any.

Hi, how tight do you make the blade grip screws? I am having trouble with mine where they are catching on something and not rotating smoothly on the spindle. Thanks
You have a broken bearing in the grip or you are missing a shim if you cannot tighten the spindle screws till tight. That will throw a blade in your face. Fix it.

Same Motor as I have Justin but I think it should be a SHAFT B so you may have to cut it or does the 580 call for a longer Shaft? Please let me know about this Brother! Congratulations again, Cheers & Happy Building!
Yes, it requires shaft B. My real good friend ordered this motor with shaft A by mistake, and he ordered the correct motor with shaft B for himself, so he just gave me this motor for all the help I give him at the field and our friendship. I will simply cut the shaft with a dremel tool and a cut off wheel. It needs to be between 26-32mm long. I’ll cut it at 30mm most likely.

How much did this cost
for the xnova motors I read i need shaft B but I see you have shaft A. doest it really matter A or B?
It does not matter if you have a dremel tool and a cut off grinding wheel. I just mark and cut mine where I want it. Plus, Shaft A fits in the 580 anyway. I did not cut my shaft and it doesn’t interfere with my battery tray so it’s all fine. You will be fine. Coe Show

@@skystevenson24 if you are purchasing the HW Platinum 130 amp speedo, grab a 4651T receiver from Spektrum and a 12” servo extension, and you can have full telemetry too.
in the box does it come with the grease ?
Thomas Coleman There is not a tube of grease. Although the transmission is sealed and already lubed. The bearings are sealed, and the thrust bearings come lubed in small bags with grease residue. Buy both types of grease from SAB anyway. It’s like a dollar and it’s always in the box.
Nice helicopter! I’m having trouble with those receivers spm9745 binding to my Spartan VX1e and nobody seems to understand why only one receiver will bind satellite 1 if I switch the receiver out same thing. Any help would be appreciated thanks again
Go in the Spartan program and pick 2 satellites. 11ms. You will interrupt power, they will both blink, and walk 6 feet away and bind. Easy peasy. Make sure your radio is set at 11ms in frame rate.
