What I find so amazing about this reaction video, is how the gentleman really did his research and so clearly explains who AKB48 is. Very cool brother. I'll be honest, I had already been listening to them for years when I saw this music video, and it brought tears of happiness to my eyes. I don't even know what they are saying, but it's clearly so positive and the people are having so much fun that it touched my heart.
I love AKB48 ever since I found them by chance when I was 13, they changed a lot in those 12 years, but I doubt I'll ever stop loving them. Their music is very diverse, everyone can find a member they want to support and they have fans across many demographics. They really are a phenomenon. My Kami-oshi (nr. 1 member of all time) will always be Maeda Atsuko, who already had graduated by the time Koisuru Fortune Cookie was released.
I've been to Akihabara and walked past their theater, it's right outside the train station. Sadly most of the game centers have closed down but I was lucky enough to visit before that happened.
The difference between JPOP and KPOP is that JPOP is Japanese English to distinguish it from American pop music. KPOP is the name given to Korean dance music by Japanese media.

Same even though my oshi Okada nana already graduated I will still support them and love them.

they're not k-pop, they're j-pop. k-pop is korean, and j-pop is japanese. AKB48 is japanese, so it's j-pop.
