My theory is that after the theater incident, his coworkers decided that Harley Sawyer was too dangerous to keep around. So after what happened, they decided to turn him into what he created: a bigger body but in a different way. They wanted to break him like how he did with the orphans, not knowing it only made him more determined to live.
Great theory but the only thing that I disagree it's that the coworkers did it because Harley was dangerous to the orphans. Pretty much everyone knew about the experiments and didn't care at all about killing kids. I think they got scared about the possibility of Harley hurting them or something, but not the orphans. Almost all of the head of Playtime were very bad people

He favors advancement over any personal attachment or emotions so i highly doubt he'll have to sympathetic backstory. More like a necessary evil that must eventually be dealt with before or after defeating the prototype

I kinda love how going into chapter 4, we kinda have no idea on Who to trust: •poppy Is extremely suspicious( and has backstabbed us in the past) •sawyer Is a evil man, Who *possibly* wants to kill another evil thing or just keep his guts alive •ollie, we have NO idea on Who this kid even Is, especially After we get to the reveal that a certain Who can mimic voices It creates this interesting dynamic thats like " ok Who Is evil and Who Is not, and if all of u are evil than Who Is the less evil" its really cool and im really excited for chapter 4

Exactly!! I'm so excited. I think we'll have to fight almost everyone and there will be surprises but everything is possible! Ollie is suspicious and I still don't trust Poppy. I hope Kissy doesn't die. We know The Prototype is not a friend and also every toy revealed for chapter 4 is a villain. I can't stop wondering what if Poppy's faking and reveals her true intentions while we descend in the elevator?
I think in the end we'll see that no one is good or evil, they're all just in a conflict and they all have good and bad qualities about them. Poppy and possibly sawyer want to stop the prototypes plans, and we've seen how cruel the prototype can be, yet sawyer is an awful person and poppy has shown how selfish she can be. On the other hand, the prototype most likely did all of this to put an end to the horrors of playtime co, and he seems to genuinely care for the children considering he originally escaped and was hiding in the factory but then sacrificed his freedom to bring theo to the employees so they could save him (though that could be just so he could continue using his most loyal follower, but still it was all in the name of ending playtime cos experiments). I think in the end the only true evil will be playtime co in its entirety, because THEY caused all this, THEY showed no remorse for all of this, they had NO redeeming qualities whatsoever, and every experiment in the factory is yet another victim to their evil.
@Pr3st0003 you, I like the way you think. Honestly, I don't see how this story turns out any other way without major modifications to previous parts of the story. Everyone did horrible things as part of Playtime Co. And who's to say Elliot was in his right mind at all after his experimentation (if he is, in fact, the prototype). Like, there's so much more nuance to this story, ultimately no one looks like they're coming out a "good guy"
I loved this theory video, but please allow me to share some of my own personal theories that I’ve made about this incredible game. I’ve reduced my best theories to one comment: 1. There is no way to know the prototype’s identity and what he truly wants, Mob entertainment wants to keep that secret until it is relevant. 2. What if the prototype is simply a scapegoat and since Harley is hooked up to the factory’s security, HE has been pulling all the strings this whole time? My final theory is I firmly believe all the death screen messages are coming straight from Harley. He’s the one who’s been telling us to get up and to finish the job. After all one of the messages says There are fates worse than death, and what’s become of Harley looks pretty intense.
Now that I see it that way, it's true. I think chapter 4 will make sense and reveal a lot of things that were there since the beginning and we forgot, like the identity of the player, what they did and why they are there. I'm still wondering if Sawyer controls the VHS because that means that we've been seeing what he wants us to see and if he's responsible for the death screens, do the player and Sawyer share the same goals? Were we accidentally helping him in some way?

Harley found out what was so special about The Prototype & it was used against him. Now The Prototype that he tormented has free reign over Playtime Co. while he was trapped within the walls. That's REALLY got to have made him mad. Especially given that The Prototype seems more human than he is and developed a cult, while Harley was seemingly forgotten about.
I think in Chapter 4 we'll be fighting against Harley by tearing the wires cutting the electricity etc under the lure of Poppy. But after being buried underground for a decade, no one can still be a "good person"
Hate to be rude but I heavily doubt your theory that he is friendly, if Mob Entertainment actually made Harley Sawyer a good guy and not the main villain of Chapter 4, a lot of people would be EXTREMELY disappointed.

Some people may believe Elliott was a good man because he took in orphans but some of them fail to remember he had a office in the factory and helped build it so I believe he already knew about all the experiments on the children and to the public a rich man who owns a toy factory adopting orphans would make his public figure even better but that’s just my own theory that he wasn’t actually a good person because in the eyes of the people when you do one good thing they’ll live you and if they don’t know the bad things about you it’s much easier to keep a mask on
I don’t think so mainly because he’s the first of the reanimated creatures. Also because it’s unclear as to when he lost his daughter, and when he founded playcare. Depending on the time this was going down It changes his morality.
You seem to forget that Harley was the ONE who started EVERYTHING. Elliot might not be a good man but NOTHING can compare to the evilness of Harley Sawyer. It's not jus Harley hating the Prototype. The Prototype also hates Harley because of how Harley brutally tortured the Prototype before the Hour of Joy. I am also CERTAIN that the Prototype knows that Harley is alive but he can't destroy Harley because he is immortal and omniscient. Harley also has influence on Yarnaby so I believe that Harley is not going to be friendly to us, but instead USE US to destroy the Prototype because they are rivals. Afterwards the Prototype is destroyed, then HE will be the one attempting to kill us. Or it could go the other way, the Prototype uses us to kill Harley and once Harley is killed, he attempts to kill us and burn the factory to the ground.
Harley was incredibly brilliant and yet mocked and refused for being too cold and aloof, turning him into a robot seems pretty fitting yet cruel. No wonder he considers his colleagues/Ludwig backstabbers.
Im surprised that you got right at your main point, the Doctor was a villain that's for sure, but he wasn't the main antagonist, it seems it was just a support antagonist rather the main antagonist
My theory is Dr. Harley Sawyer, also called The Doctor, is going to be making an appearance in the deeper levels of the factory, which is likely where holding cells for experiments like "The Prototype" are located, along with other facilities.
I agree poppy is suspicious but I don’t agree with the prototype being the villain because of the fact that he gave us so many chances to go home, he ended catnaps suffering, he feed those that followed him. And in my OPINION the hour of joy was the last chance they had to obtain their freedom from playtime co. The Prototype even comes back for Theodore when he gets electrocuted instead of rushing out the open door to freedom! Just my theory! :)
Harley is most likely going to be The Main Antagonist for Chapter 4.. he's practically The Catalyst to This Whole Thing. And as far as The Prototype goes.. I don't think it IS Elliot "Persey". But rather.. a Copy of his Subconscious. I mean, wasn't Elliot Still Around (Alive) when The Rumors about The Prototype started getting around? Cause it would make Sense. He (Elliot) knew he would Eventually Die, so he Created The Prototype as a(n Immortal) Failsafe Protocol to look after The Company (and Children). Only problem was, The Prototype became Self Aware and longed to Escape. So Elliot (alone) locked it up Deep in The Basement, before he Died.. and Nobody knew it Existed until it Exposed Itself to Help and Create CatNap. Which I Don't think (Exposing itself) was a Calculative, Pre-emptive Move.. I think it Genuinely cared for The Boy. I also Think that was The Moment it Changed it's - "Mind". Harley is in the security system and is way stronger than other antagonists. I don't think the Prototype will be able to kill him that easily. If anything we'll be the ones to stop him.
The higer-ups turned him into the system instead of killing him so that they can still take advantage of his knowledge and in hope that his mind will be break just like the orphan that got turned into toys but somehow Harley’s mind was fully intact unlike the orphan toys
I think that Harley could be a side villain, or if he is the good guy, then maybe it's not the prototype/ Elliots fault either, and someone else could have twisted Harleys plans as Harley could meant artificial intelligent toys while someone else who we haven't found about yet corrupted the plan by changing it completely

I am excited to see how Chapter 4 is gonna play out, and I’m curious to how we could defeat him. I imagine that in order to defeat him, we have to destroy his body. He may be able to control other electronic devices, but he can’t really transfer himself into another body. (At least that’s what I think). Overall, this chapter is exciting, and I’m wondering how the boss battle is gonna go? 🤔😱😀

So the prototype who controls the almost all the bigger bodies is not our friend. If he was our enemy we would be dead he would have just killed us in chapter 1/2 the chapters were just preparations. That is why we are alive.

I have a few thoughts and theories i wanna throw out about Harley 1. I don't think the other executives did this specifically to him, rather it was a fail-safe that activated when something did happen. For one thing, he was the head doctor, he's presumably the only one with the know-how to actually transfer minds. Also, why would they give him more power if they hated him? i've seen it theorized that they wanted to keep his mind around for future testing, but why give him limbs and full access to the security system? this math isn't mathing 2. It might not have been the other executives at all, but rather the toys. he is their creator after all. if they killed him, especially if he made a deal with them to escape the HoJ, he would certainly see it as a betrayal 3. While i think Harley will be the main villain, i don't think he'll be the final villain. Yarnaby's report noted him being extremely deadly, but also extremely weak mentally. Meanwhile, in Quinn's report, same thing, decent at games, but he's lazy and unmotivated until Harley talks to him. I think the same thing is going on and Yarnaby isn't as dumb as Harley would like to think. The chapter is called safe haven, as in, Harley's safe haven from the monsters. What if, after we manage to bust down the doors and maybe cut Harley down a peg or two, he calls in Yarnaby for help only to get torn apart
I like this theory. If I had to answer number 1 though, I don't recall reading or seeing anything that said Sawyer was the only one who could transfer minds, only that he invented it and started the bigger body initiative (if I'm wrong about that, my bad lol 😆). I also think the executives put him in the security system because like the children of the bigger body initiative, they thought they could break his mind and control him. Of course it was proven that they couldn't control the children of the bigger body initiative either due to the hour of joy, but they didn't know this when they did what they did to Sawyer. 2. I think this is possible too but I haven't seen or read anything that implies that the experiments are intellectually capable of doing this (possible that the Prototype could though). 3. I also think Yarnaby is smarter than many think he is. I think he was deemed a failure and mentally weak because of how attached he was to Sawyer, not because he's stupid. I remember reading that once Sawyer was gone, he became unresponsive. That doesn't mean he's stupid, just that he was probably extremely depressed. I still think he's loyal to Sawyer though. In his trailer, when he killed the critter, notice how that same critter was dead on the TV with the eye? Animals (particularly cats mostly) like to bring "gifts" to their owners. As soon as the eye glowed red, Yarnaby was right behind us. As smart as I think Yarnaby is, he was isolated from everyone by Sawyer and led to believe Sawyer was the only person he needed. I do think Yarnaby will be an issue for that reason (at least initially).
If the doctor isn’t the villain, then perhaps the Prototype has something to do with this? I still want to find out the main antagonist. Yet I can’t play this game due to horrifying jump scares and connections to my past as a child. I hope the brave people who play this terrifying game uncovers the truth.
The TV man may be the prototype 1006. The monsters experiments in laboratory also are they from the game PATH OF EXILE created in infamous malevolent worlds (absence of patince and wisdom; absence of value and meaning; absence of symetry and harmony; absence of mercy and empathy), and was destructs in Wraeklast and Oriath like in the scene "A hour of Joy" of POPPY PLAYTIME (The city Sarn was been evacuated and inhabited by monsters; the Oriath was been destroyed by Sirus Awakened; the continent Wraeklast was been cursed and populated by horror monsters certain like in POPPY PLAYTIME and JOYVILLE and GARTEN OF BANBAN; the heart of the mountin Verusso and of Highgate mines was been occupied by a giant beast of Malachai whick living is beast's belly; the parallel worlds from the end-game maps was been inhabited by the very strong horror monsters and bosses; and many people was died there).
I’m not too into the lore but when I saw Elliot passed. What if his body was deceased but his consciousness is in a bigger body? Who’s to say those who betrayed Harley aren’t in a bigger body we will soon find out about?
I have a really hard time, not necessarily believing that Elliot is the Prototype but believing that Elliot was not a good person. The only reason he wanted to start the bigger bodies initiative was to find immortality, BUT because he wanted to save sick and dying children. Sawyer has been very clear for the longest time that HE wanted the BBI to discover immortality for HIMSELF. He got exactly what he wanted when he was trapped in the supercomputer. Forced, albeit but but immortality and supreme authority over the facility We really have no proof that the prototype is evil. We do have proof that Sawyer is...and if not evil, at least selfish.

The new chapter is called safe haven. What if harley acts as an ally. I believe the devs said we would have an unlikely ally in the chapter. What if harley does protect us. I still dont believe the prototype is a villain. But if it is, i think when we defeat it, it will open the door for a bigger bad to come to power. I would think it would be another playtime executive like Leath Pierre. I think there are more executives that turned themselves into experiments. Maybe the prototype is keeping them in check and if its gone they can take over

my theory and i believe it that the prototype being elliot is the one that rebuild swyer after the heads of playtime had him disposed of after the theater incident .... why the prototype put harley back together? because going by the arg for chapter 4 elliot still cared for swyer even if he doesn't remember him as the prototype the emotions still might be lingering ... and because sywer things elliot and now the head of playtime co all betrayed him he turned on the prototype creating a save haven for himself guarded by some of his creations and when he sees you an ex employee he sees he can have some revenge on the company that tried to eliminate him since everyone else is gone since the hour of joy

I think you got it mixed up, Maybe the prototype is a good guy and is collecting toy parts to get stronger and break the children out of the factory, harley could be the bad guy, He saw all we could do and may think we were gonna help the prototype. Yes, I know CatNap tried to kill us and he worshipped the prototype, but maybe the prototype didn't know that we were trying to help. I kinda agree with the poppy theory, helping her father might be poppys main goal.
I think it is a possibility he’s not a villain for sure but the references Harley Sawyer has made through different forms of references that connect to 1988’s DC comic “The Killing Joke” make me think otherwise because he heavily implies he has already had his “one bad day” considering his past and current state. BUT i don’t think we will actually take him down in this chapter even if he does end up the main villain, I have a feeling he’s going to be returning and not easy to shut down due to how smart he is. Elliot was a good person and inherently I think He is the prototype. Elliot made the orphanage not for the experiments but for his love of a Child's smile. The hospital beds support this. They weren't for the experiments but for the sick ones. And the experimentation (Before Harley) were to help these kids not turn them into these monsters we see them as now. But Harley came and did all of this. Now, I am still not sure how Elliot is the prototype and if He is, we have another argument that He didn't leave because Theodore (CatNap) was injured. Killing his chance of freedom to save Theodore. How I think He is Elliot is tied to another theory and that is Elliot uses multiple as in "Backstabbers" instead of "Backstabber". Again there is the popular theory that He was turned into this monster by the 3 higher ups after the theatre incident. Stella, Leith and Ritterman. Could it be that Elliot was done the same thing with? For example can it be Leith, the corrupt business man, wanted to rehire Harley Sawyer and Elliot was in the way so they did the same with him to get Harley back. And once He was used and they got what they needed and decided He was too dangerous, did the same with him. You can see that the Prototype's body and Harley's body share a resemblence. Don't you think? About Poppy, I don't want to think that she is evil. Atleast I don't want her to be else the game would be too depressing. Now, from what Poppy tells us she has witnessed the hour of Joy and how innocents too were slaughtered in it. Not to mention we saw CatNap Vs Dogday who both were meant to be allies because both were experiments. So it was truly a very horrifying event. Where even the ones initiating it for their freedom weren't spared. Hence she wants to kill the Prototype to end his terror and to either burn this entire place to the ground (My favourite theory since the red gas is flamable and we are dragging it down in the factory) to get all the toys out of their misery or to let them live without fear in the factory until their death. About Harley, he just wants to continue the experiments in his "Safe Haven". And his lines about them making a Mistake is simply him refering to that He is now immortal without the worry of the flesh. Hence I do think He IS the villain. Especially considering the trend in chapter 2 and 3 that the villain is revealed last. He is revealed along with a release date. So yeah.
One thing a lot of people missed or glossed over in the ARG is the way Lockhart seemed to savor and enjoy telling Leith that it was Sawyer who caused the theater incident to happen. Detective Lockhart was the one who was going around finding (what I think are) the people who were once part of the Young Geniuses program, meaning Lockhart found Sawyer. And is clear Lockhart was kept on thr payroll and kept around playtime for some reason(possible to bring in new employees or to dig up the pasts of everyone hired there) which means he would have seen the way Leith favored Sawyer and all the messed up stuff that was approved by higher ups. He enjoyed telling Leith that his most favored employee was the one responsible for such a horrible incident. A lot of people think the player is supposed to be P.W. but I think there is a chance we might be playing as Lockhart.
Elliot can't be the prototype. In a kid's drawing in the game, we see Elliot in the Playstation, with mommy above him, and the prototype is experiment 1006 as we all know while mommy 1222, and since Elliot is present and alive when bigger body mommy was around, out is likely that Elliot is not the prototype
I think Harley is the ultimate bad guy of PP. I also think Poppy has been working with him to get the player to defeat the prototype, who I believe to be the Elliot. He was the first major character to transition but he was a genius and he figured out enough to transfer his consciousness to an entity but without all the bells and whistles. Harley was bought in to replicate it but couldn’t but he was also transferred by the team. Partly as punishment because he’d gone too far but also because they didn’t want to lose his knowledge. Harley is now hoping the player will take Elliot/Prototype out as he continues to try to stop Harley and his crew from escaping into the real world to start all this all over again. I’m not sure who Poppy is but I think she has the same goal of freedom outside the walls of the factory. Harley ‘lives’ in the circuits and system of the factory, making it easy for him to become any character he can mimic through the system, like Ollie. The attack on Missy was just misdirection and another way to get the player to see the prototype as the enemy, keeping us focused on the goal of destroying Elliot who wants freedom and happiness for the kids still stuck in bigger bodies. Elliot understands there is no reversal without sacrificing more life and he would never do or want that. This has all been to try to get Harley into a human body, free and out of the factory to continue his work and experiments. And he has a cast of characters to do it. He’s a manipulative and maniacal man.
Here is a theory on the main character we are playing as in the game but for this I will need to talk about a dream I had last night about it. The dream was actually about me being the main character and being in the final chapter. I have just been betrayed by Poppy from Chapter Four and was near the end of the final chapter. Poppy was using the factory with same goals as the company had intended and was creating mutant toy monsters to kill us. When I say us, I mean the orphans who have been living in the factory deepest levels the whole time with a very kind and caring teacher, Miss Delight who had escaped from the school house. The reason the children had not grown up was because of the red smoke in the factory. Apart from horrible dreams it also tampers with the growth of the children preventing them from maturing and growing up. Catnap was the one who took them down to the deepest levels on the Prototype orders and left them there with Good Miss Delight. After finding them, we team up as Poppy planned to capture or kill us for her experiments and we arm ourselves with toys who remembered what happened to them including the Prototype who we don’t see but we know he is there aiding us. We hide ourselves in bins (yes bins) with mini Huggies and others to defend ourselves against the evil monsters and let the good ones try and eat them. The battle was crazy but fun and I remember that we did escape from the lower levels and back to surface. I do not know what happened to Poppy and the factory but I’m going to assume that we stopped her. Now for the player (in Poirot style) There have been many theories on this character and many people have chosen to believe that he was an ex employee who quit days before the Hour of Joy. The evidence is good enough to be true from the dream the player has during Chapter Three with the radio telling him he was supposed to be there during the Hour of Joy. The theory of him being an employee is good. But, we have not considered one possibility for his identity. He is not an employee. He was an orphan. An orphan who grew up in the Play care and was most likely adopted into a family and taken before the Hour of Joy could begin. But why was he accused by the radio in his dream I hear you ask? It is because he was not an ordinary orphan, he was one of the orphans experiment on. The Prototype knew that one day the children would either die or be found by a governing hand who might go on the same path as the factory did. So, being the caring monster he is, he unknowingly brought the child back into the available section for adoption with the intention that he would return one day if he was asked to and traverses through everything to come to him. It was the perfect plan, but it was clear that it was also discovered by Poppy or one of her associates. She makes her plan, to finish what the factory started and continue the legacy, she countered on Ollie to send the letter, the tape and the phone to contact us all so we would become her play thing, her errand boy. And if we were killed by the monsters that roamed about, then that would also work for her benefit. Freedom or not, the children were still trapped in lower levels. As for the player, he knew about the experiments that were happening in the factory, he knew something horrible was happening to his friends hence why he feels guilt, for not coming forward to his parents. But why, you ask. Because if he said anything about it, no one would believe him, he thought. And there we go, please use the theory for your video. And for the record I do not believe that Elliot is a bad man

No, I think Harley is the main villain no one was expecting. We've been so focused on the Prototype that no one thought to ask questions about Harley's absence during Catnap's interview tape. I think Harley was conveniently rebooted and is purely out for revenge bc he's just now realizing what's happened to him. I also believe Poppy has no idea that Harley is even alive but the Prototype might or will discover he's active. If that's the case, the Prototype may try to convince Poppy and the player to side with him to end Harley. Even if Elliot is the Prototype, so what. Harley was known to be someone who lacked empathy and was willing to continue experimentation regardless of how many lives it took. He hates Elliot for firing him and calling him out on his inhumane work ethic. That's why he sees him as an enemy and why he called everyone else "backstabbing traitors" bc he was getting out of control. To the point his coworkers felt they had to get rid of him but keep hold of his knowledge so they could continue the experiments without Harley. Now Im not saying the Prototype is good. We dont know what his true intentions are yet. If it is Elliot, he could also be out for revenge and remember we play as someone who "use" to work at the factory but we dont know what role that was yet. For now, I feel this is one of those "you're focused on the wrong bad guy" situation.

My theory is that after the theater incident, his coworkers decided that Harley Sawyer was too dangerous to keep around. So after what happened, they decided to turn him into what he created: a bigger body but in a different way. They wanted to break him like how he did with the orphans, not knowing it only made him more determined to live.

Pretty much everyone knew about the experiments and didn't care at all about killing kids. I think they got scared about the possibility of Harley hurting them or something, but not the orphans. Almost all of the head of Playtime were very bad people

Exactly!! I'm so excited. I think we'll have to fight almost everyone and there will be surprises but everything is possible! Ollie is suspicious and I still don't trust Poppy. I hope Kissy doesn't die. We know The Prototype is not a friend and also every toy revealed for chapter 4 is a villain. I can't stop wondering what if Poppy's faking and reveals her true intentions while we descend in the elevator?
I think in the end we'll see that no one is good or evil, they're all just in a conflict and they all have good and bad qualities about them. Poppy and possibly sawyer want to stop the prototypes plans, and we've seen how cruel the prototype can be, yet sawyer is an awful person and poppy has shown how selfish she can be. On the other hand, the prototype most likely did all of this to put an end to the horrors of playtime co, and he seems to genuinely care for the children considering he originally escaped and was hiding in the factory but then sacrificed his freedom to bring theo to the employees so they could save him (though that could be just so he could continue using his most loyal follower, but still it was all in the name of ending playtime cos experiments). I think in the end the only true evil will be playtime co in its entirety, because THEY caused all this, THEY showed no remorse for all of this, they had NO redeeming qualities whatsoever, and every experiment in the factory is yet another victim to their evil.

@Pr3st0003 you, I like the way you think. Honestly, I don't see how this story turns out any other way without major modifications to previous parts of the story. Everyone did horrible things as part of Playtime Co. And who's to say Elliot was in his right mind at all after his experimentation (if he is, in fact, the prototype). Like, there's so much more nuance to this story, ultimately no one looks like they're coming out a "good guy"

but please allow me to share some of my own personal theories that I’ve made about this incredible game. I’ve reduced my best theories to one comment:
1. There is no way to know the prototype’s identity and what he truly wants, Mob entertainment wants to keep that secret until it is relevant.
2. What if the prototype is simply a scapegoat and since Harley is hooked up to the factory’s security, HE has been pulling all the strings this whole time?
My final theory is I firmly believe all the death screen messages are coming straight from Harley. He’s the one who’s been telling us to get up and to finish the job.
After all one of the messages says There are fates worse than death, and what’s become of Harley looks pretty intense.

Now that I see it that way, it's true. I think chapter 4 will make sense and reveal a lot of things that were there since the beginning and we forgot, like the identity of the player, what they did and why they are there. I'm still wondering if Sawyer controls the VHS because that means that we've been seeing what he wants us to see and if he's responsible for the death screens, do the player and Sawyer share the same goals? Were we accidentally helping him in some way?

You seem to forget that Harley was the ONE who started EVERYTHING.
Elliot might not be a good man but NOTHING can compare to the evilness of Harley Sawyer. It's not jus Harley hating the Prototype. The Prototype also hates Harley because of how Harley brutally tortured the Prototype before the Hour of Joy. I am also CERTAIN that the Prototype knows that Harley is alive but he can't destroy Harley because he is immortal and omniscient. Harley also has influence on Yarnaby so I believe that Harley is not going to be friendly to us, but instead USE US to destroy the Prototype because they are rivals. Afterwards the Prototype is destroyed, then HE will be the one attempting to kill us.
Or it could go the other way, the Prototype uses us to kill Harley and once Harley is killed, he attempts to kill us and burn the factory to the ground.
The Doctor is definitely going to be a villain, because he and the Prototype are working together.

My theory is Dr. Harley Sawyer, also called The Doctor, is going to be making an appearance in the deeper levels of the factory, which is likely where holding cells for experiments like "The Prototype" are located, along with other facilities.
I agree poppy is suspicious but I don’t agree with the prototype being the villain because of the fact that he gave us so many chances to go home, he ended catnaps suffering, he feed those that followed him. And in my OPINION the hour of joy was the last chance they had to obtain their freedom from playtime co. The Prototype even comes back for Theodore when he gets electrocuted instead of rushing out the open door to freedom!

Harley is most likely going to be The Main Antagonist for Chapter 4.. he's practically The Catalyst to This Whole Thing. And as far as The Prototype goes.. I don't think it IS Elliot "Persey". But rather.. a Copy of his Subconscious. I mean, wasn't Elliot Still Around (Alive) when The Rumors about The Prototype started getting around? Cause it would make Sense.
He (Elliot) knew he would Eventually Die, so he Created The Prototype as a(n Immortal) Failsafe Protocol to look after The Company (and Children). Only problem was, The Prototype became Self Aware and longed to Escape.
So Elliot (alone) locked it up Deep in The Basement, before he Died.. and Nobody knew it Existed until it Exposed Itself to Help and Create CatNap. Which I Don't think (Exposing itself) was a Calculative, Pre-emptive Move.. I think it Genuinely cared for The Boy.

I am excited to see how Chapter 4 is gonna play out, and I’m curious to how we could defeat him. I imagine that in order to defeat him, we have to destroy his body. He may be able to control other electronic devices, but he can’t really transfer himself into another body. (At least that’s what I think).

I have a few thoughts and theories i wanna throw out about Harley
1. I don't think the other executives did this specifically to him, rather it was a fail-safe that activated when something did happen. For one thing, he was the head doctor, he's presumably the only one with the know-how to actually transfer minds. Also, why would they give him more power if they hated him? i've seen it theorized that they wanted to keep his mind around for future testing, but why give him limbs and full access to the security system? this math isn't mathing
2. It might not have been the other executives at all, but rather the toys. he is their creator after all. if they killed him, especially if he made a deal with them to escape the HoJ, he would certainly see it as a betrayal
3. While i think Harley will be the main villain, i don't think he'll be the final villain. Yarnaby's report noted him being extremely deadly, but also extremely weak mentally. Meanwhile, in Quinn's report, same thing, decent at games, but he's lazy and unmotivated until Harley talks to him. I think the same thing is going on and Yarnaby isn't as dumb as Harley would like to think. The chapter is called safe haven, as in, Harley's safe haven from the monsters. What if, after we manage to bust down the doors and maybe cut Harley down a peg or two, he calls in Yarnaby for help only to get torn apart
I like this theory. If I had to answer number 1 though, I don't recall reading or seeing anything that said Sawyer was the only one who could transfer minds, only that he invented it and started the bigger body initiative (if I'm wrong about that, my bad lol 😆). I also think the executives put him in the security system because like the children of the bigger body initiative, they thought they could break his mind and control him. Of course it was proven that they couldn't control the children of the bigger body initiative either due to the hour of joy, but they didn't know this when they did what they did to Sawyer.
2. I think this is possible too but I haven't seen or read anything that implies that the experiments are intellectually capable of doing this (possible that the Prototype could though).
3. I also think Yarnaby is smarter than many think he is. I think he was deemed a failure and mentally weak because of how attached he was to Sawyer, not because he's stupid. I remember reading that once Sawyer was gone, he became unresponsive. That doesn't mean he's stupid, just that he was probably extremely depressed. I still think he's loyal to Sawyer though. In his trailer, when he killed the critter, notice how that same critter was dead on the TV with the eye? Animals (particularly cats mostly) like to bring "gifts" to their owners. As soon as the eye glowed red, Yarnaby was right behind us. As smart as I think Yarnaby is, he was isolated from everyone by Sawyer and led to believe Sawyer was the only person he needed. I do think Yarnaby will be an issue for that reason (at least initially).
If the doctor isn’t the villain, then perhaps the Prototype has something to do with this? I still want to find out the main antagonist. Yet I can’t play this game due to horrifying jump scares and connections to my past as a child. I hope the brave people who play this terrifying game uncovers the truth.
The TV man may be the prototype 1006. The monsters experiments in laboratory also are they from the game PATH OF EXILE created in infamous malevolent worlds (absence of patince and wisdom; absence of value and meaning; absence of symetry and harmony; absence of mercy and empathy), and was destructs in Wraeklast and Oriath like in the scene "A hour of Joy" of POPPY PLAYTIME (The city Sarn was been evacuated and inhabited by monsters; the Oriath was been destroyed by Sirus Awakened; the continent Wraeklast was been cursed and populated by horror monsters certain like in POPPY PLAYTIME and JOYVILLE and GARTEN OF BANBAN; the heart of the mountin Verusso and of Highgate mines was been occupied by a giant beast of Malachai whick living is beast's belly; the parallel worlds from the end-game maps was been inhabited by the very strong horror monsters and bosses; and many people was died there).

I have a really hard time, not necessarily believing that Elliot is the Prototype but believing that Elliot was not a good person. The only reason he wanted to start the bigger bodies initiative was to find immortality, BUT because he wanted to save sick and dying children.
Sawyer has been very clear for the longest time that HE wanted the BBI to discover immortality for HIMSELF. He got exactly what he wanted when he was trapped in the supercomputer. Forced, albeit but but immortality and supreme authority over the facility
We really have no proof that the prototype is evil. We do have proof that Sawyer is...and if not evil, at least selfish.

The new chapter is called safe haven. What if harley acts as an ally. I believe the devs said we would have an unlikely ally in the chapter. What if harley does protect us. I still dont believe the prototype is a villain. But if it is, i think when we defeat it, it will open the door for a bigger bad to come to power. I would think it would be another playtime executive like Leath Pierre. I think there are more executives that turned themselves into experiments. Maybe the prototype is keeping them in check and if its gone they can take over

my theory and i believe it that the prototype being elliot is the one that rebuild swyer after the heads of playtime had him disposed of after the theater incident .... why the prototype put harley back together? because going by the arg for chapter 4 elliot still cared for swyer even if he doesn't remember him as the prototype the emotions still might be lingering ... and because sywer things elliot and now the head of playtime co all betrayed him he turned on the prototype creating a save haven for himself guarded by some of his creations and when he sees you an ex employee he sees he can have some revenge on the company that tried to eliminate him since everyone else is gone since the hour of joy

I think you got it mixed up, Maybe the prototype is a good guy and is collecting toy parts to get stronger and break the children out of the factory, harley could be the bad guy, He saw all we could do and may think we were gonna help the prototype. Yes, I know CatNap tried to kill us and he worshipped the prototype, but maybe the prototype didn't know that we were trying to help. I kinda agree with the poppy theory, helping her father might be poppys main goal.
I think it is a possibility he’s not a villain for sure but the references Harley Sawyer has made through different forms of references that connect to 1988’s DC comic “The Killing Joke” make me think otherwise because he heavily implies he has already had his “one bad day” considering his past and current state. BUT i don’t think we will actually take him down in this chapter even if he does end up the main villain, I have a feeling he’s going to be returning and not easy to shut down due to how smart he is. Especially when you look at the uploaded intelligence theme!! I’m so excited though and I like your perspective it’s new and refreshing

Elliot was a good person and inherently I think He is the prototype. Elliot made the orphanage not for the experiments but for his love of a Child's smile. The hospital beds support this. They weren't for the experiments but for the sick ones. And the experimentation (Before Harley) were to help these kids not turn them into these monsters we see them as now. But Harley came and did all of this. Now, I am still not sure how Elliot is the prototype and if He is, we have another argument that He didn't leave because Theodore (CatNap) was injured. Killing his chance of freedom to save Theodore. How I think He is Elliot is tied to another theory and that is Elliot uses multiple as in "Backstabbers" instead of "Backstabber". Again there is the popular theory that He was turned into this monster by the 3 higher ups after the theatre incident. Stella, Leith and Ritterman. Could it be that Elliot was done the same thing with? For example can it be Leith, the corrupt business man, wanted to rehire Harley Sawyer and Elliot was in the way so they did the same with him to get Harley back. And once He was used and they got what they needed and decided He was too dangerous, did the same with him. You can see that the Prototype's body and Harley's body share a resemblence. Don't you think?
About Poppy, I don't want to think that she is evil. Atleast I don't want her to be else the game would be too depressing. Now, from what Poppy tells us she has witnessed the hour of Joy and how innocents too were slaughtered in it. Not to mention we saw CatNap Vs Dogday who both were meant to be allies because both were experiments. So it was truly a very horrifying event. Where even the ones initiating it for their freedom weren't spared. Hence she wants to kill the Prototype to end his terror and to either burn this entire place to the ground (My favourite theory since the red gas is flamable and we are dragging it down in the factory) to get all the toys out of their misery or to let them live without fear in the factory until their death. About Harley, he just wants to continue the experiments in his "Safe Haven". And his lines about them making a Mistake is simply him refering to that He is now immortal without the worry of the flesh.
Hence I do think He IS the villain. Especially considering the trend in chapter 2 and 3 that the villain is revealed last. He is revealed along with a release date. So yeah.

One thing a lot of people missed or glossed over in the ARG is the way Lockhart seemed to savor and enjoy telling Leith that it was Sawyer who caused the theater incident to happen. Detective Lockhart was the one who was going around finding (what I think are) the people who were once part of the Young Geniuses program, meaning Lockhart found Sawyer. And is clear Lockhart was kept on thr payroll and kept around playtime for some reason(possible to bring in new employees or to dig up the pasts of everyone hired there) which means he would have seen the way Leith favored Sawyer and all the messed up stuff that was approved by higher ups. He enjoyed telling Leith that his most favored employee was the one responsible for such a horrible incident.

In a kid's drawing in the game, we see Elliot in the Playstation, with mommy above him, and the prototype is experiment 1006 as we all know while mommy 1222, and since Elliot is present and alive when bigger body mommy was around, out is likely that Elliot is not the prototype

I think Harley is the ultimate bad guy of PP. I also think Poppy has been working with him to get the player to defeat the prototype, who I believe to be the Elliot. He was the first major character to transition but he was a genius and he figured out enough to transfer his consciousness to an entity but without all the bells and whistles. Harley was bought in to replicate it but couldn’t but he was also transferred by the team. Partly as punishment because he’d gone too far but also because they didn’t want to lose his knowledge. Harley is now hoping the player will take Elliot/Prototype out as he continues to try to stop Harley and his crew from escaping into the real world to start all this all over again. I’m not sure who Poppy is but I think she has the same goal of freedom outside the walls of the factory. Harley ‘lives’ in the circuits and system of the factory, making it easy for him to become any character he can mimic through the system, like Ollie. The attack on Missy was just misdirection and another way to get the player to see the prototype as the enemy, keeping us focused on the goal of destroying Elliot who wants freedom and happiness for the kids still stuck in bigger bodies. Elliot understands there is no reversal without sacrificing more life and he would never do or want that. This has all been to try to get Harley into a human body, free and out of the factory to continue his work and experiments. And he has a cast of characters to do it. He’s a manipulative and maniacal man.
Poppy backstabber and harley sawer helper
Here is a theory on the main character we are playing as in the game but for this I will need to talk about a dream I had last night about it.
The dream was actually about me being the main character and being in the final chapter. I have just been betrayed by Poppy from Chapter Four and was near the end of the final chapter. Poppy was using the factory with same goals as the company had intended and was creating mutant toy monsters to kill us. When I say us, I mean the orphans who have been living in the factory deepest levels the whole time with a very kind and caring teacher, Miss Delight who had escaped from the school house.
The reason the children had not grown up was because of the red smoke in the factory. Apart from horrible dreams it also tampers with the growth of the children preventing them from maturing and growing up. Catnap was the one who took them down to the deepest levels on the Prototype orders and left them there with Good Miss Delight.
After finding them, we team up as Poppy planned to capture or kill us for her experiments and we arm ourselves with toys who remembered what happened to them including the Prototype who we don’t see but we know he is there aiding us. We hide ourselves in bins (yes bins) with mini Huggies and others to defend ourselves against the evil monsters and let the good ones try and eat them. The battle was crazy but fun and I remember that we did escape from the lower levels and back to surface. I do not know what happened to Poppy and the factory but I’m going to assume that we stopped her.
Now for the player (in Poirot style)
There have been many theories on this character and many people have chosen to believe that he was an ex employee who quit days before the Hour of Joy. The evidence is good enough to be true from the dream the player has during Chapter Three with the radio telling him he was supposed to be there during the Hour of Joy. The theory of him being an employee is good. But, we have not considered one possibility for his identity. He is not an employee. He was an orphan.
An orphan who grew up in the Play care and was most likely adopted into a family and taken before the Hour of Joy could begin. But why was he accused by the radio in his dream I hear you ask? It is because he was not an ordinary orphan, he was one of the orphans experiment on. The Prototype knew that one day the children would either die or be found by a governing hand who might go on the same path as the factory did. So, being the caring monster he is, he unknowingly brought the child back into the available section for adoption with the intention that he would return one day if he was asked to and traverses through everything to come to him. It was the perfect plan, but it was clear that it was also discovered by Poppy or one of her associates. She makes her plan, to finish what the factory started and continue the legacy, she countered on Ollie to send the letter, the tape and the phone to contact us all so we would become her play thing, her errand boy. And if we were killed by the monsters that roamed about, then that would also work for her benefit. Freedom or not, the children were still trapped in lower levels. As for the player, he knew about the experiments that were happening in the factory, he knew something horrible was happening to his friends hence why he feels guilt, for not coming forward to his parents. But why, you ask. Because if he said anything about it, no one would believe him, he thought.

No, I think Harley is the main villain no one was expecting. We've been so focused on the Prototype that no one thought to ask questions about Harley's absence during Catnap's interview tape.
I think Harley was conveniently rebooted and is purely out for revenge bc he's just now realizing what's happened to him. I also believe Poppy has no idea that Harley is even alive but the Prototype might or will discover he's active.
If that's the case, the Prototype may try to convince Poppy and the player to side with him to end Harley. Even if Elliot is the Prototype, so what. Harley was known to be someone who lacked empathy and was willing to continue experimentation regardless of how many lives it took.
He hates Elliot for firing him and calling him out on his inhumane work ethic. That's why he sees him as an enemy and why he called everyone else "backstabbing traitors" bc he was getting out of control.
To the point his coworkers felt they had to get rid of him but keep hold of his knowledge so they could continue the experiments without Harley.
Now Im not saying the Prototype is good. We dont know what his true intentions are yet. If it is Elliot, he could also be out for revenge and remember we play as someone who "use" to work at the factory but we dont know what role that was yet.
For now, I feel this is one of those "you're focused on the wrong bad guy" situation.
