Hi Guys. Anouk is a real bad ass singer. She admits that she has a real case of stage fright. Of it was up to her she would rather be making studio albums. She can be painfully honest and will not hold back if the feels that her point does not come across. That being said, in my opinion she is a unique talent that will always grab your attention. Both with her voice and with the texts that she writes. Poeple seem to either hate or love her. There is not much opportunity to remain untouched by her work. I am a great fan and I appreciate her uncompromising talent. Lately she has been writing for other well know Dutch artists. All of her albums are worth listening to. She can sing beautifully as in this song, but also the can be a bit frightening as in For Bitter Or Worse. Go and explore.

The Netherlands came in second place with this and lost with very few points from the winner. It's a country song. The singers each have a solo career in the Netherlands and abroad, but they did it together for this song festival. All of Europe was enthusiastic about this performance, hence 2nd place. The singer is Waylon and Ilse de Lange who tried to build a career in America as a country singer. She went to Nashville for a long time. Europe consists of more than 45 countries so second place is very good.
