I was in 5th grade and my family was leaving to go somewhere and it had been advertised that during an awards show or something on MTV that this video would debut at this time. My parents waited for me until the video was shown for us to leave but then during the show they teased that this video was coming up before every commercial and everyone was getting annoyed cuz we had somewhere to be, lol. Hey Jack, I really have to recommend you to listen to Runway, it is from Mariah's latest era. Runway is a Japan bonus track from her album CAUTION. She produced this one with Skrillex and it shows his love for Mariah's Butterfly album which he used to listen to it with his mom. Mariah sampled herself with the "fly" run from her song Butterfly and she sung that run in her whistle register over the belt at the end. She's a genius! Also, she sampled her other song, We Belong Together, by using the piano melody!
