Wanted the 6'6 athletic freak TE or a CB. Instead we get a player at a position we have good players at, so this is a "depth pick" I guess? I would draft in areas where im weak. To me, beefing up our D line is like Seattle drafting a DB.
💣💣💣 SQUAD! Tennessee's All-Time sack Leader Derek Barnett has been all over the place on mock drafts so far. There has yet to be a consistent spot. I've seen as high as top 5 to middle of the 2nd round. I still view him as a 1st rounder, but I'm not necessarily sure where. What round/team do you think he'll get drafted?
i think if he is there for the colts they would sprint the card up there... I dont believe it will happen but if he indeed drops to my cowboys they better take him
Coming from a 9er fan, this dude is gonna be legit. Definitely a Jim Schwartz kind of player, both in attitude and scheme fit. His snap anticipation and bend are ridiculous.
Born June 25, 1996. Played high school football for the Brentwood Academy Eagles (TN). Played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers. Drafted #14 overall by the Philadelphia Eagles. First game is August 10 at the Green Bay Packers.
I like how the people who are complaining about the title aren't even Tennessee fans. Yes, Reggie White was incredible in the NFL and also very good at Tennessee, but Barnett did more in one less season. No disrespect to White. He's my dad's favorite Volunteer. The title is justified
Ravens need OLB. When injured Suggs is your best pass rusher, it's a concern. And I don't see the Ravens drafting OLB in the 2nd or 3rd round. Unless they feel they're getting a steal and players they want at other positions are off the board. These CBs are too good to pass up though and one will definitely be there when the Ravens draft. Ravens drafted OLB Correa in the 2nd round last year. Draft a WR/RS in the 2nd round. One should be there. Draft OL whether it be OT, G, or C with a 3rd round comp pick.
Phillys front seven was already beastly now you add the next Reggie White lol as a Giants fan I'm more worried about the eagles then the cowboys they're built better defensively and adding Alshon and Torrey Smith were big and what's crazy is they could still possibly get Dalvin Cook ....... scary
I would love to see Barnett have a breakout season this year. He's entering the prime of his NFL career, and I'd love for him and Josh Sweat to take over for Graham as vets along the line. Very talented pass rusher, just needs to clean up some of the late hits and mental mistakes.
Another first rounder to join the likes of fournette, McCaffrey, Cook, Scott, Watson, tribuisky, Garrett, and Adams. the first round of the draft looks bright af in 2017.
Ravens found a late round gem with OLB Judon last year and drafted Correa in the 2nd round. And the only WRs I would consider are Corey Davis and Ross and I don't see either one there at #16. If the Ravens draft Mike Williams after passing on Michael Thomas in the middle of the 2nd round after trading back twice I'll be pissed. He was my 2nd WR and worth a middle 1st round pick and the Saints got a steal and traded Brandin Cooks, another WR I wanted the Ravens to draft. They got Perriman in the 1st round. Ravens are drafting a CB.
Justin Long i agree if Cook is there at 11 we would be fools not to pick him up but I'd be surprised if he is considering some had him as a late 1st rounder. 🤞
head0927 Yeah I'm shocked we didn't take or nobody did early the reason cause it was more defensive players in this draft than offense and so many teams needed defensive players including us glad we got Barnett but we need a legit RB cause Cook can become our Back for years to come he can learn from Sproles and be our guy never did like the Ryan Matthews move that was dumb af!!
Kid looks great. But to say the best out of Tennessee. Anyone that says that didnt grow up watching Reggie White. He was double and triple teamed throughout his career and still got to the quarterback. This kid is good but I am not seeing him beat anymore than one guy.
Jonah Amaya he might everybody is moving up because of the combine and he had a virus so they couldn't see him perform I don't wish this on nobody but I hope can stay sick few more weeks to miss his pro day so he can slide down to us
Khalil Mack is an athletic freak, I don't think there will be another like him for quite some time. I would say he's more like Terrell Suggs, a guy who was labeled as having relatively average athleticism but was super productive in college.
First play against UGA the scheme was block him with a tight end and a rb will chip him. He recognized the scheme and made the tight end his bitch and then the rb his bitch and caused a safety.
This highlight only shows one move that he has. Doesn't really show counter moves or him getting double teamed. Plus tackles in the NFL kick out wide wayyyy better than these college tackles.
Ravens have drafted RB in the 4th round the last four years. There's a RB I'm locked on and I don't think he'll be there in the 4th round. Draft him in the 3rd. They added Woodhead but he's 32 years old. Terrance West was a nice addition but not the answer. Ravens lost FB Kyle Juszczyk in FA. Kenneth Dixon is suspended the first four games which pushes my man Buck Allen up the depth chart. I wanted to draft Alex Collins. Seahawks got him in the 6th round and released a 2nd round RB Christine Michael. Ravens drafted Ray Rice with a 2nd round pick after five RBs were selected before him in the 1st round and Matt Forte in the 2nd round in 2008. These 4th round RBs aren't cutting it. I would consider Cook or McCaffrey at #16 but too many better players the Ravens need to take a RB that early. Fournette is a no-brainer at #16 but he won't be there. No OL worth a pick that high after drafting a LT at #6 and adding another starter in later rounds. The loss of Wagner isn't as bad as some people might think. Not as bad as losing Osemele the year before.
jimmyjames65 wtf does this comment have so with anything... plus forruette is a injury prone rb and the ravens wouldn't take him even if he did fall to 16
You can't compare sacks on a DE and sacks on a DT. Not only that, but these were very different eras and I don't think that sacks are the only metric of what makes a defensive lineman "best." Sorry, but Reggie White is still better. If Barnett becomes one of the best players of all time in the NFL, I might change my mind, but we're comparing a brilliant player to one of the best that's ever played. I just don't think it's a valid comparison. Different positions create different outcomes.
Guy has good get off and major bend. He's a good football player. He also has really good technical skill with his hands and a passion to get better. Seems like he loves the game and enjoys doing the small things well to be a good football player. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays better out of the gate than Garrett since he is so technically sound. Garrett pretty much won in college with his athleticism. Which was enough to give him a major advantage over lesser prospects, but not enough to give him a major advantage in the SEC. This guy isn't a finished product by any stretch though. He needs to develop a good counter move to his quick first step. Eventually NFL guys will either chop him to the outside or set up wider to eliminate his speed on the edge. He doesn't seem as powerful against linemen when having to go up the middle. 40 times for edge rushers seem rather silly to me. The guy was tops in the three cone. Which means he has good short area burst and quick change of direction. That seems to be a more relevant statistic instead of how fast a D end can run 40 yards. Sometimes I think these drills are too broad and need to be adjusted to the position to get a clearer picture of the prospect. Just my two cents.
this guy's just as good, if not better than Myles Garrett. If i was the browns, i'd consider taking this guy #1 overall. He has better stats the Garrett. He isn't being called better than Reggie White, or the greatest pass rusher in Tennessee history for nothing....
Welcome to Philadelphia! What are your thoughts Eagles fans?
Don't forget to follow JBP on IG - instagram.com/justbombsproductions/
I wanted oj Damn it
JustBombsProductions fuck this shit
beat Reggie Whites record for sacks Reggie White was a eagles It's only right to pick him #solidpick
I like the pick... it's a safe pick... I would've loved to have Christian Mccafree...but I'm not disappointed in this pick
Wanted the 6'6 athletic freak TE or a CB. Instead we get a player at a position we have good players at, so this is a "depth pick" I guess? I would draft in areas where im weak. To me, beefing up our D line is like Seattle drafting a DB.

JustBombsProductions uh no bias but 2nd round to the ravens lol
If he falls to the 20s then a team will be very lucky.
Idk why he keeps falling on draft boards. Dude is a monster.
JustBombsProductions 1st-early 2nd round for barnett
i think if he is there for the colts they would sprint the card up there... I dont believe it will happen but if he indeed drops to my cowboys they better take him
this guy broke Reggie whites record in only 3 seasons, sack machine in SEC, extremely happy with the pick.
From seeing how this guy plays he will always win 1 v 1
It's almost not fair
You have to double team this guy
He was a absolute animal. We need more pass rush bad rn
who came cause eagles chose his him
Michael Gonzalez lol me
Hopefully he turns out good, our front line would be amazing. Welcome to Philly #FlyEaglesFly
Nice vid man do you think you could put together a video on Obi Melifonwu from Connecticut?
Coming from a 9er fan, this dude is gonna be legit. Definitely a Jim Schwartz kind of player, both in attitude and scheme fit. His snap anticipation and bend are ridiculous.
Well this didn’t age well.
Born June 25, 1996. Played high school football for the Brentwood Academy Eagles (TN). Played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers. Drafted #14 overall by the Philadelphia Eagles. First game is August 10 at the Green Bay Packers.
From a rookie that everyone questioned.. from a rookie that made key plays for the Eagles and now a rookie that is a SB champion.
I like how the people who are complaining about the title aren't even Tennessee fans. Yes, Reggie White was incredible in the NFL and also very good at Tennessee, but Barnett did more in one less season. No disrespect to White. He's my dad's favorite Volunteer. The title is justified
DeumTeam Exactly. Barnett had more sacks and tackle for losses in one less season.
DeumTeam I was about to comment the same thing!
DeumTeam Teams didn't pass as much back then as they do know....Spurrier changed the landscape of college with passing in the mid 90's
Not buying it.
Ravens need OLB. When injured Suggs is your best pass rusher, it's a concern. And I don't see the Ravens drafting OLB in the 2nd or 3rd round. Saints need to Draft him !!
He'll be a consistent sack artist/starter in the NFL. Great value. He's 20...and about to only get better guys
NINERS!!! Get this man! Buckner and Barnett as our D-ends would be awesome!
finally some Tennessee lovin!!
I think I'll be making a Kamara video next week if things go as planned.
JustBombsProductions Amen!!!
JustBombsProductions you better, he's going to be a beast in the NFL
Looks like a beast!
He'll be better in the NFL then Myles Garrett he has a better motor and he knows how to use his hands
Zakee Jones-Rumph facts
Zakee Jones-Rumph 🙌✨✨🙌
+Rashad Johnson lol naw
Phillys front seven was already beastly now you add the next Reggie White lol as a Giants fan I'm more worried about the eagles then the cowboys they're built better defensively and adding Alshon and Torrey Smith were big and what's crazy is they could still possibly get Dalvin Cook ....... scary
Yes, Instincts over Metrics any day.
love the pick. beast beast
I loved the ending
Had to end it with history.
welcome to Philly!
3:29 favorite part of this video. Barnett is not looking to bat that pass. He went with both hands to try and get that pick
I would love to see Barnett have a breakout season this year. He's entering the prime of his NFL career, and I'd love for him and Josh Sweat to take over for Graham as vets along the line. Very talented pass rusher, just needs to clean up some of the late hits and mental mistakes.
If he's still on the board at 14 I can see howie taking this pass rusher to go along side brandon graham
Welcome to Philly! Time to bring some pain to Dak Prescott!
This didn’t age well dak is the goat
Looking back on it he would've been a good draft. But we struck gold with Lattimore as well.
both Eagles and Saints struck gold.. its only a matter of time until Sidney Jones play next year along with Rasul Douglas.
Ravens Please!!
Nola! him, Cam Jordan , Fairley and Rankins. that's a formidable d line. especially if he can be a day one starter.
His get off speed is 💯
Never heard of this guy. Need my squad to draft one though.
I'm a big fan
Hope he falls to 16 and the ravens draft him but i don't see it happening
Another first rounder to join the likes of fournette, McCaffrey, Cook, Scott, Watson, tribuisky, Garrett, and Adams. the first round of the draft looks bright af in 2017.
DALLAS COWBOYS, PLEASE!!!!
Welcome to Philly!!!!
this guy BELONGS in Baltimore lol with him we'd have the best defense in the NFL
if ross and fournette are gone, I hope the panthers draft him. dudes a beast.
Let's go birds🙌
Ravens found a late round gem with OLB Judon last year and drafted Correa in the 2nd round. And the only WRs I would consider are Corey Davis and Ross and I don't see either one there at #16. jimmyjames65 mike Williams is a 1st rounder dum dum
mickey Loomis we need this picture Cameron Jordan Nick Fairley Sheldon rankins Derek Barnett easily the best d-line in the league
I like Cox ya'll d-line good already tho
Welcome to Philly!
Reggie White remains the best DE we have ever had. Loved DB but Reggie was different - and the best.
and EDP was fuckin pissed about this great pickup
Go Damn Vols
It would be cool if he went to the Eagles and had a similar or better career
1:05 Cam Robinson: Deer in the headlights
Coming to Houston
Like the pick but we have to get a CB have too. A RB would be nice to pick up too. CB next tho lol
head0927 I want Dalvin Cook he would be our RB!!
Justin Long yea hopefully he falls to us
Marcus F yeah cut Ryan Matthews and start cook I've watched his film Cook is a mix of Shady McCoy and Darren Sproles!!
Justin Long i agree if Cook is there at 11 we would be fools not to pick him up but I'd be surprised if he is considering some had him as a late 1st rounder. 🤞
head0927 Yeah I'm shocked we didn't take or nobody did early the reason cause it was more defensive players in this draft than offense and so many teams needed defensive players including us glad we got Barnett but we need a legit RB cause Cook can become our Back for years to come he can learn from Sproles and be our guy never did like the Ryan Matthews move that was dumb af!!
what's that song title In the beginning
Who did the song in this video?
Issa cowboy
Welcome to the Philadelphia Eagles Barnett!
Most underrated player in the draft. I wish the 49ers would take him with the 2
they are looking at him
Tennessee students and alumna, should Eagles fans be psyched?
Brown's trade first pick. Here we go.
Coming For A QB Near You
idk about this one y'all. He better erase all the doubts right away. go birds
Kid looks great. But to say the best out of Tennessee. Anyone that says that didnt grow up watching Reggie White. He was double and triple teamed throughout his career and still got to the quarterback. This kid is good but I am not seeing him beat anymore than one guy.
he's coming to Baltimore watch!!!
😐😐😐
Reminds me of Michael Bennet. Barnett play style is very similar to his.
Come to the lions you will fit perfectly in our program
Welcome to the Dallas Cowboys Derek Barnett.
Fall to the dolphins at 22 🐬🐬🐬
BANG No fuck off m9 you already have enough pass rushers, fall to Dallas at 28 instead 👀
Chief Tats doubt he'll fall that far
ever heard of Reggie White?
Really bro? Barnett has more sacks in one less season. We're strictly talking collegiate career...
Barnett even has more TFLs than White.
JustBombsProductions harder to get sacks in 1983 than it is in 2016. Reggie White is arguably the greatest pass rusher of all time!
West Coats 57257 In the NFL no doubt. What about getting tackles for loss? Barnett has the edge in one less season as well.
Top 10 pick
You forgot a little man named Reggie White and also Chris mims
I hateeeee the pick I wanted them to trade the pick after the saints 11th pick
that unique ability to bend two feet off the ground, you can lack in size if you have a good get off, bend and understand what to do with your hands.
Ravens please
do you see him transitioning to a 3-4 olb?
Vionate he's perfect for a 3-4
he looked good going against lane it OTAs but that's just practice. I think he's good. wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being better than Garrett
EAGLES ! WHO CAME RIGHT AFTER THE PICK?
OK so he nice but Idk if hes helping us more then humprey and cook are all ik is they better take a corner in the second and keep Mathews or get mixon
wishing somehow the Cowboys would get him
Jonah Amaya he might everybody is moving up because of the combine and he had a virus so they couldn't see him perform I don't wish this on nobody but I hope can stay sick few more weeks to miss his pro day so he can slide down to us
Jonah Amaya I want this guy now too. If he's still on the board at 28, this is who we get. He could end up being the Khalil Mack of this draft.
Khalil Mack is an athletic freak, I don't think there will be another like him for quite some time. I would say he's more like Terrell Suggs, a guy who was labeled as having relatively average athleticism but was super productive in college.
Eagles might pick him over Ross, & Conley maybe even McCaffrey
DeLorean eagles need defense. 2 round should be for offense
Welcome to Philadelphia
First play against UGA the scheme was block him with a tight end and a rb will chip him. He recognized the scheme and made the tight end his bitch and then the rb his bitch and caused a safety.
Reminds me so much of Terrell Suggs
Welcome to Philly
0:19 Cam Robinson? destroyed!

no one at the DE position is better than Reggie White.
saints you heard it here first
You picking him over Reuben Foster?
Rockstar Skinnys yup we need edge rush. we currently have 9 LB on the roster and our edge guys suck or average at best
eagles bitch

Bengals need him
he might be better than Myles Garrett its closer than you'd think.
like if your here because of him being drafted by the eagles lol
My gut tells me Falcons trade up to get this guy...if he is still around past the teens...
this guy's just as good, if not better than Myles Garrett. If i was the browns, i'd consider taking this guy #1 overall. He has better stats the Garrett. He isn't being called better than Reggie White, or the greatest pass rusher in Tennessee history for nothing....
I guess the Eagles are giving up on Marcus Smith... Barnett looks like a DE. Maybe Marcus should go back to linebacker.
he might become an eagle tonight...
Michael Rosia LETS HOPE
Michael Rosia he is an Eagle! let's fucking go!
Ta'Darrius Stanley flyeaglesfly
damn right. we need to get Dalvin Cook next
or Rueben Foster
The way he bends around the edge is crazy can't coach that shit he's gonna be a problem for a while technique on 100!!!
Texans just signed 😎
welcome to philly
Lions!
If he falls to 14 philly will take him. He'd be the best player available and would transform that defense
I called it lol
Eagles fans !!
Welcome to the Dallas Cowboys DBarn
Rance Warschak LMAO
hes literally the definition of a FREAK
