mxr i want to ask you something and you are the only i think of can help me i have a laptop which is more then enough to play SE but even in low settings i cant play the game it just have like 10 fps or something i cant find a solution or anything about this i am desperete pls why this is happening is it just me or there is anyone else facing the same problem pls send help :(

recorder was great but i think her lines were a little to quiet and she was a little to strong.
Skyrim SE basically replaces a ton of mods in one fell swoop. It's 64 bit(a complete game changer), has god rays, a completely new lighting engine, a new snow cover shader, a new water shader, rain/snow occlusion, ambient occlusion, screen space reflections, depth of field, higher draw distances, better texture compression technology(despite lackluster stock textures). Bethesda implemented a whole new distant objects system that replaces ugridstoload almost entirely and can be turned up or down at will with better performance than ugrids. It has built-in colorgrading ala ToneMapping as well which is how ENBs achieve their look(though needs a mod to change it from stock). Not to mention the game now has excellent quality temporal antialiasing. All of these new effects are easily adjusted which allows easy and high quality mod creation by authors and adjustment by users to enhance them even more. Oh yeah, it does almost all of these effects BETTER and with BETTER PERFORMANCE and more consistently than mods will ever be able to achieve. In fact, ENB is just a kind of deferred rendering and what Bethesda did for these new effects was to implement their own deferred rendering. Also, the newer version of the engine is much, MUCH more optimized. Even with all this extra stuff on top it runs better than the original ever did.
64 bit is really important because the largest limit of original Skyrim was that it was 32 bit. This means that no matter what you do there is a hard limit of 4GB for the process. With lots of 2K textures, not even 4K, you could easily hit the video memory limit of the engine without even trying. Even just being near the limit made it very unstable. ENB introduced a memory patch that helped alleviate the stability issues somewhat but it was a band-aid solution really. 64 bit replaces ENBs memory patch entirely, and works infinitely better.
Bethesda has made ENB and a ton of improvement mods for the game nearly obsolete, or at least offered their alternative solutions. The under-the-hood upgrade to the game is a massive, gargantuan change, and opens up modding like never before. They more or less added as much of Fallout 4's engine as they could. I can run more texture mods on Skyrim SE than Oldrim ever dreamed of, and it makes a vast visual difference. Since it runs better, I can have much better draw distances and special effects and more characters on screen and many other advantages. My modded install of Skyrim SE is easily the most visually stunning game I have ever played, bar none. Original Skyrim can't even come close. Its engine isn't capable.
So Skyrim Special Edition actually does quite a lot for PC players. Oh, and SKSE and SkyUI are back in all their glory.
I know this is a year-late response but I wanted to say that I really appreciate your comment. It's an excellent endorsement of SE over Oldrim. So many people still absolutely despise SE and refuse to change to it. Those game engine changes you mentioned are a huuuuuuuuge upgrade and, as you say, make modding infinitely better.

This rooster is one of three whose crowing signifies the start of Ragnarök, along with two others, one called Fjalar who lives in Gálgviðr which is a forest in Jotunheim, the home of the giants or jötnar, the other whose name is not known but is dark red and lives in Hel which is the name of the place owned by a figure with the same name and is often associated with death. Might have something to do with the golden chicken in Breezehome.

Tired of people saying "just port SKSE so we can use it" you CAN'T 32bit coding is different from 64bit, and that's why we don't have it they HAVE to recode it from scratch.
D Smith I program video games so it's easier to grasp even though it's just simply put, they code differently that's why you can't just port everything into it. xD

VItimmyy Um no it goes all the way down to bites and kernel within the code that shit doesn't work for that express reason....you cannot port a huge amount of code from 32 to 64 they code completely differently as I said earlier. Just doubling the 32 gives you duplicate of the 32bit code. :/
They do not need to recode it from scratch! There is a topic on nexus where they go into detail (a looooot of detail) on what needs to be done to make it work, and yeah its quite some work... the fact that the ppl who worked on SKSE are no longer supporting it (mostly) since they no longer play skyrim doesn't help rly...
RaVeN1K Some of what's said on that nexus thread isn't even accurate they do YES have to code it from scratch even if only pieces of it. That's still doing it from scratch.

About SkyUI and SKSE, both teams are working on adapting the mods for Skyrim SE, but they're not sure when it will be ready because of changes to the games code and life getting in the way.

Breezehome by Elianora... Perfection has finally come to Whiterun. Until now Breezehome was never more than a place to stash my stuff and grab a nap for rest bonus. Even fully furnished it felt like being in a barn with all the gaps in the wood... Hell, I'm a better carpenter than that!. Now? WOW!!! It's better equipped than any of my Hearthfire homes. Pino wasn't even the main thing in the mod. That was some generic hot female follower mod and Pino just came as funny extra. Nobody even remembers about that.
