I love how all this starts because Loki stole his mates bird cloak (which he doesn't need because he can shapeshift????) and decided to spy on a random person for no discernible reason
It was a good day for Loki because he did the only thing he was good at, mischief, and it was a good day for Thor because he did the only thing he was good at, murdering people.
Fun fact: A Danish comic book series based on Norse mythology named "Valhalla" combined the stories of Odin being captured by Geirroth and this story with Geirrod being the same king. Their names are very similar, and the combination is well put together with Loki and Thor's trip being a rescue mission.
I've noticed that many stories with Loki involve him using Frigg's falcon cloak thing. In fact, he seems to use it more than Frigg does... now that I think about it, are there *any* stories where Frigg actually uses *their* flying bird suit?
In one version of the story of Baldur's death that i read she used her cloak to fly around all the realms to make everything promise not to hurt Baldur i could be mistaken though
i think thor and loki's relationship in the norse mythology inspired marvel to make them brothers like they are just like brothers without being brothers
Keep in mind that Heimdall is stated to have two out of nine mothers named Gjálp and Greip, which means that Thor maybe, maybe not killed two of his maybe, maybe not brother’s family members in this story, and didn’t feel that guilty about it.
Well, they were trying to crush him to death up against the ceiling; and one of them was previously trying to drown him, not that I'm saying Thor was helpless. Still, you've gotta admit; it was pretty stupid of Geirrod to invite the guy who regularly culls his people's number to his door step, regardless of the theoretically imposed handicaps on Thor.
There's a comic where this story and the one of geiroth and agnar were combined and I think its interesting as the moral that thor learns is he is a god with or without mjollnir
All this story needs is "The Boys" written on the lower half of the screen while Thor and Loki commit multiple crimes and walk away without any repercussion
You know, I was kind of questioning the visual and reasoning at 1:39. Then I remembered the goat vs testicle tug of war, and realized this wasn't that out of place.
Loki and Thor were really lucky getting those luxury accommodations, I mean a chair and a goat, talk about fancy. The video was awesome but could’ve used more Loki mischief, it was probably Loki's off day right?
Could you do lore on the 7 avatars of hell? I’m so curious to know if there is more then seven, because theirs a lot of bad things. I’d also like to know how they formed. Like how did gluttony happen?
Okay just scrolling through the comments, Isn't anyone gonna talk about The daughter straddling the river 😂. I believe she was pulling in the land on both sides but to imagine her peeing in it to raise the water and thor using a rock to plug it up😂😂
Just saying: At 1:39 when Thor picks up a rock, the rock has the shape of Iraq, because "a rock" sounds like "Iraq". I like puns like that in Jake's videos. 😊
The "Now I'm dead blah" never gets old
Good because I won't stop thinking it's funny.
@@JakeDoubleyoo you sir are a genius
Also what app do you use for drawing?
@@JakeDoubleyoo make the video about masopotiman gods
Beginning of Norse myths that end in bad things happening: "Loki wanted to do a lil' bit of trolling"
Greek myths: "Zeus was a lil down bad"
Egyptian myths: "Seth was a lil jelly"
(btw, pretty sure I've seen a Tumblr post almost identical to this one)
@@SkyP9812 Really? Ah crap, and I thought I was making a nice joke. Oh well

He needed to steal it simply because it's fun to steal stuff
@@zwiebeldogs The secret ingredient is crime. It's always crime
The reason was for mischief you know they whole thing Loki is know for
He's used Freyja's falcon cloak at least two other times so I just headcanon that he can't turn into birds
@@VXMasterson He can certainly turn into a horse though.

That sounds equal parts hilarious and awesome.
Yessss, this was a fun one! Surprised I haven’t heard this particularly story until now. But now I know. I appreciate it mate!
"One day Loki was in the mood for doing some mischief."
Ah, so nothing new?
I've noticed that many stories with Loki involve him using Frigg's falcon cloak thing. In fact, he seems to use it more than Frigg does... now that I think about it, are there *any* stories where Frigg actually uses *their* flying bird suit?
There aren't because Loki constantly steals it

one of his moms is ALSO named járnsaxa…. who shares the same name as the lover of thor who mothered magni 😭
“He did not miss his target”
Hilarious
I need me a series of just Thor and loki traveling the nine realms doing random stuff
Every story is the same, Loki starting up some trouble and Thor ending it, yet it never gets old. I could listen to these stories all day
Loki got superglued oml
Has Thor considered therapy?

The Iraq-shaped Rock is hilarious
1:39 "so, Thor picked up a rock" *picks up a rock shaped like iraq*
Maybe the real lesson was the people we killed along the way.
Drowning is already a horrifying way to go.
But drowning in someone's... bodily fluids is probably even more so.
Off☠️
Kinda seems like most of Thor's myths are some form of "Thor goes to guest at the home of X... and murders the hell out of them.".
Well, to be fair, it is usually in self-defense.
You know, I was kind of questioning the visual and reasoning at 1:39. Then I remembered the goat vs testicle tug of war, and realized this wasn't that out of place.
I like how you keep sneaking in the 'Iraq' joke
Poor Frigg, she is always the victim of whatever Loki does at this point.
Ah yes, the classic trope of "Someone tries to one-up Thor but realises Thor is even more powerful than they suspected".
1:40 Irock
Great vid jake
Loki and Thor were really lucky getting those luxury accommodations, I mean a chair and a goat, talk about fancy. The video was awesome but could’ve used more Loki mischief, it was probably Loki's off day right?
loving the outro music
Marvel Thor: Good guy himbo
Canon Thor: "I've got a boner for murder!"
Could you do lore on the 7 avatars of hell? I’m so curious to know if there is more then seven, because theirs a lot of bad things. I’d also like to know how they formed. Like how did gluttony happen?
The moral is have someone like Thor, someone who will to kill anything
Ah yes just a bored day till he posted this video my boring day just got fixed
First, also love these vids. Keep going
Love this vid
And channel
I love your vids
Loki 100% has a fetish for turning into animals
Like Zeus.
"He picked Iraq"
My favorite two gods
We laugh at Loki, but he did go three months rather than reveal himself. Gotta respect that.
Why is the rock Iraq shaped I cant’t unsee it.
Norse mythology in a nutshell:
Everything was fine, and then loki got bored
hey jake can you make some Egyptian myth videos
1:40 "so thor picked up a rock" shows a rock that looks like Iraq😂😂
make 👏 a👏 video 👏 about 👏 BALDUR! 👏
Calling Loki they omg I love that
Jerngreipr mean Iron grip, not iron gloves. Grip is like to hold something, it's written Grep and Grip where I'm from today
“There’s not a moral to this story i just have a lot of fun killing people” he just like me fr fr
Okay just scrolling through the comments, Isn't anyone gonna talk about The daughter straddling the river 😂. I believe she was pulling in the land on both sides but to imagine her peeing in it to raise the water and thor using a rock to plug it up😂😂
1:40 yeup just throw my country again
I just realized when Thor picked up a rock, it was the country of Iraq.
Ah yes, the 'only one chair' trope, the slightly less horny cousin of the 'only one bed' trope...
A better story than quantumania
Does loki have some abilities, or is it just a mcu thingy
Well, he is a shapeshifter, which is very useful for his tricks, be they good or bad.
Ok
these videos are ON TOP
0:24
Yeah. Loki was the biggest bird.
Woooo more norse mythology
Typical Loki and Thor shenanigans
Someone calling Loki they! Oh my goodness 😊😊😊
He picked up Iraq 😂
Can we apreciate the fact that the rock that thor throws is in the shape of iraq
Did thor just.... 1:46 uhhhh plug the hole?
You should animate Ragnarok and new Asgard
Never noticed that “A rock” is pronounced exactly like Iraq
What is ur source to the mitology?
1:45 😨
Epic quest
I never heard of that story.
Wut? How come I don't know this story? Is it in the Prose Edda?
@jakedoubleyoo Can you talk about sigyn loki wife
The moral of the story is Thor likes killing people and you should be aware it might save your life
it honestly feels like he's homelander at this point ngl
Gerriod use MOLTEN LUMP ATTACK
THOR: *UNAFFECTED*
Why 1:37
jake pls hire me and teach me how to make videos i’ll do anything for u to make more norse content
Moral of the story:
There are 2 ways to break people
drive them slowly insane or (the better option) SNAP THEIR ******* SPINE
You mean "mesh with the best lose like the rest"
God bless
Why keep calling Loki with “their” and “them”? The quotes from the prose Edda he puts on the video literally describe Loki as a “he”!
Jake explains this decision in ua-cam.com/video/jAk_j5uwdfc/v-deo.html at 8:58
Anyone else think that rock looked familiar?
Just saying:

1:43 the rock is iraq
"a rock"
I love lokis shinanagins

Fucking beautiful man
E
I honestly think this story was just meant to be hilarious. The norse were probably really funny
I like when thor said a rock he picked a rock that looked like Iraq
So that's why iraq is so cursed makes so much sense now
1:40 lol Iraq
I want to talk to you
good old iraq joke XD
The Moral is Thor is to Hot to handle get it lol
I have noticed you arent using your new character for yourself that everyone loved in one of your community posts
