@EmpressYama Haha, wow awesome! I dunno if Ark follows any real life like info, hehe. Mutations are the most complicated part for sure, feel like they could of simplified it.
@leopardtrixgaming They're completely random, just like real life. Though in real life it is much rarer and less likely to drastically affect the creature. We won't be getting pink crows anytime soon
In Ark: Survival Ascended, the stat mutation cap is 255. If a stat's mutation count reaches 255, Ark will prevent the stat from being leveled up. Does this mean I can put enough levels in to each stat mutation.
My graphic setting are kinds mixed on ark, but it might be because I turn off the volumetric cloud and fog in the console. Makes things a lot clearer, hehe.
im playing unofficial. with my mutations the level had gone up 2 every time, now im still getting mutations but the level of the dino stays the same, why could this be happening ?
@@kronkstyle3373 Hmm, are the stats actually still increasing despite the level not increasing? Also how many mutations do you have on each side? Could also be a level cap, potentially.
Good guide but I dont understand why would I need a higher level argy just to get higher oxigen stat? Wouldn't it be better just on the ones I need like health, dmg, stamina and weigh?
@@Fer490G Thanks! So, youre right that for an Argi, oxygen isnt rly important and of course you dont have to focus on all stats if you dont want to. I personally just prefer to get all the highest stats I find in order to increase the base level of the dino.
Breeding in high Oxygen into a dino that it doesnt matter in just for high levels means nothing. Instead keep the low stats of things are not important for said dino that way you have place for better stats in the stats that are important.
Does it in anyway negatively impact your breed when you have high levels in useless stats? When I tame a dino with a higher useless stat, I just breed this in as well.
I was going to ask a similar question, it may not be useful but is it harmful? And of course, this is just sharing my take, maybe more to help out beginners in understanding the process. Everyone can breed to their preferences of course :)
@@leopardtrixgaming By no means is it a bad thing. I am merely stating there is a more efficient way to get best out of each important stat that is all.
@@royce567 Definitely get what ur saying :) I have seen that people use that method indeed and focus only on the stats they need and have the rest low, especially if theyre gna start with mutations.
@@royce567 IT depends on the how far you can mutate your dino on the server. if you have a low server you'll need even to breed down to take the levels of oxy/food/weight/ with taming a low level with 0 TE but. If there is no limitation on the server you don't have to do it it's a waste of time more than anything else
One of the best presented videos on the subject I've seen. Nicely done.
@@EdwardBarganier That is very kind of you to say. Thank you! 😊
Great video. I have not done much breeding and just reinstalled ASA. Let's do this.
Thank you :D Awesome, it is always exciting starting up Ark again... hehe. Enjoy!
Been playing ARK since 2016 and the breeding mechanics still baffle me, thank you for laying it all out so simply and easy to understand 💖
Thank you! I am glad to hear it has helped you understand breeding better, it does take a bit to get your head around it indeed.
@leopardtrixgaming I literally study mutations and evolution in real life how do I suck so bad at it in ARK 😂😭

thank you

@@lordtrytin7398 Honestly, not 100% sure. Never had 255 mutations in one stat.
With the new sushi rolls you could potentially perfect tame anything now.
That new addition does def change things! But when you are just starting out with breeding you might not have direct access to items like that.

@@leopardtrixgaming Can u make a tutorial about where to find wyverns on the island
@@Jurassicmoosh There are no wyverns on the island map 😅 - You would need to go to Scorched Earth for example.
@@leopardtrixgaming thanks for telling me
