Me and my partner broke up recently, one of my best memories with her was our first 'date' where we went to Ikea after college. We weren't perfect by any means, but there's beauty within imperfection. Despite only being in college, I want to be a writer, and I figured that a romance book would be perfect to write because I was so happy with the love I had found at the time. The premise of this is just so sweet and nice and casual and that’s really brought out by the bgm, the lyrics (aside from the fact that it literally taught me a new word - this is the 1st song I’ve ever heard to rhyme accoutrement and it did it absolutely flawlessly) and the way you sang it (as in you brought out your accent more which was really cool to see! It also felt more conversational bc of it too which I think fits the song well)
And that’s on top of your already phenomenal singing voice which just elevated this song to transcendence as it always does
