a quintessential english walk: grey skies, rain, a canal, and lots of canal boats. it's all here. loved that cozy transhipment warehouse. ❤❤❤❤❤ thanks, dave. :)
This was a really great walk in the rain with an umbrella especially in this very beautiful area with the most amazing scenery and countryside especially in this nice quiet small town. I always enjoy seeing nice looking houses and buildings in town and visiting the the second hand store was very interesting as well as the walk along the canal this was another really great walk around this beautiful place Thank You very much Dave.👋👋 🇬🇧🏘🇬🇧🏘🇬🇧
While the golden autumn sunshine of Padley Gorge was glorious and a joy to be out in, the drippy day here seems perfectly atmospheric of the late season and appropriate to the theme of this walk: Water on the left, water on the right, water down the middle, water that merges and sometimes seems to dead-end and even a stretch slicing through a bookshop!
Hi Dave, thanks for the shout! I've just 'treadmilled' along the canal while the tail end of storm Isha batters on my roof. I so enjoyed this walk as walking the canals was my goal before I became ill. Waiting for better weather and I can now get out and walk them for real. 🦋
Balm for the soul. The shop was a lovely treat. I almost felt like I was there treading that raw floor. Great camera work. The thick window sills and stonework were marvelous. Must be lovely to step out of the rain to such a hide-away. Interesting canal scenes and enjoyable rain puddles sounds. Even liked the passing cars through wet streets. Thanks for sharing your video. Well done as always!
Thanks! It`s one of the best, lovlely walkings. Cosiest place for rest, it`s very interesting to look at all these old things. really beautiful place, really beautiful walking! Autumn... Thank you, Dave.
Me encantó tu vídeo como siempre! Especialmente llamó mi atención el café en ese lugar tan especial! Qué lugar espectacular! Gracias por mostrarlo! Saludos ❤
I really like those riverboat things (if that's what they're called). Do people live in those? Man I could consider a life living in one of those. I recently watched a TV show called The Bear where a character went to Amsterdam to learn as a chef and lived in an Airbnb that was one of those boat things. Looks like a sweet setup if you're a bachelor! Thanks Dave for doing these walks, I usually have them on while I'm reading just as peaceful ambient background and something nice to look up to every once in a while. I hope one day God enables me to have the means to travel and see England. I hope to get out into places like this, as opposed to just seeing the big cities.
A luvverly walk in the rain. Do you know what that bloke under the blue awning at the basin was doing there? He looked like he was there to give information but it wasn't really the weather for lots of custom, nor did the poor chap seem to have been given even a seat!
I did have a chat with him after filming, he was a representative of the Canal Trust, I see them frequently when walking the canals. They are the charity that looks after all of England's waterways. You an find out everything here canalrivertrust.org.uk/
Another fabulous walk and perfect filming. Riding my spin bike round with you hahah. Keeping me fit. Would love to see you pulling up at the car parks in your vids and stopping off at tea/coffee shops. It feels like I am there with you. Thank you so much for these ❤❤❤
I love walking under the rain with a big umbrella and "smelling" the rain... I love it. Thank you for this wonderful video.
Very nice part of the world, thanks for sharing.
This place is so amazing!! I could browse there for hours!

People do indeed live in them, they are known in the UK as canal boats :)
