@@rockcastlemusic it is definitely the thickest neck I have, but somehow very comfortable, I think it’s because it forces you to play more in the style of the music that guitar is known for, so your hand adapts to a different way to play it than you would on slimmer necks.
I'm right now just saving for this exact Vintera too. I've just started to get interested in stratocasters this year and i never had a strat and guitar with a tremolo bar before, so i'm excited. Also have been looking a strat in this colour with mapleneck for a while. First i thought i would get the Player series buttercream one, but then i thought it would be too bright and noticed that this one have the big headstock and right colour!
Personally, The ugly hole on the headstock of the player series for the trussrod that looks like those from squier affinity strats, the 22 frets and the 2 point tremolo doesnt do it for me, I'm more of a vintage style strat kinda guy.
@@rockcastlemusic tone control for the bridge pick up is a nice addition though, never thought it was ugly? Just got mine brand new, 2 year warranty, sunburst, really like it, rosewood slab fretboard would be nice but cost and availability constraints
Oh. Here in Singapore they have a lot of models for the player series, they have fsr player series too. I saw one with ebony fretboard but had a, I think its a green sparkle body, but again the hole for the trussrod adjuster on the headstock spoils it for me. Try sweelee.com.sg if you want to browse. They also ship in most countries in asia, im just not sure if they ship to australia.
@@rockcastlemusic thanks boss.
Does your other Vintera II strat hum as much as this one? I know single coils do that but I would have expected more gain. Which of the two do you prefer...the maple or the rosewood? I know you have modified some things but I'm talking stock.
The hum on this one when I filmed it is probably due to the other cables and electronics surrounding me at that time. I like this one better than the one with the rosewood fretboard because this feels a lot comfortable to play which is always puzzling to me when I compare rosewood fretboard and maple fretboard, rosewood always feels bit thicker in feel to my hands.
I just bought this model in hardtail configuration. I love the Custom Shop '69 pickups and I don't miss the vibrato assembly one little bit.
I got the same exact guitar, it’s amazing in every way. These MIM Fenders are phenomenal, I got 4 different ones!
That's cool, what models do you have?
@@rockcastlemusic a 60s white, 60s sunburst, a 70s white, and blond Nocaster Tele, all Vintera II
Nice. I wanted to get a nocaster too but when I held the neck, it was too thick for me.

nice guitar! I just bought a 60s vintera II, loving the series!
Great guitar. I have Fender Player stratocaster,Ibanez Hollowbody AF 55 and electro acoustic guitar Ibanez Paul Gilbert. I love all my guitars.
Fascinating just hearing you talk, you have what I'd call working hands like Yngwie's. Greetings from New Zealand.
Wow. Thanks
Great review. I was debating on getting a vintera strat and this explanation of the guitar is really helpful.
Thanks for watching.

Great. Welcome to the club 😀
try the player series, quite impressive for the cost outlay

The rosewood slab is more expensive where you are?

Boss, ano mas nagustuhan niyo especially sound wise? Eto or yung traditional japan na 70’s strat mo?
Stock, mas gusto ko ung japan 70's. Mejo mataba ng konte sound nya. Di ko sigurado kung dahil sa body wood nya na ash.

Mas gusto ko neck nitong vintera II. Di mataba pero di rin manipis.
What would be the best upgrade for the nut on one of these
For me, it's always brass. Always stayed in tune in all of my guitars and lasts longer than bone.
Get a brass one like malmsteen uses
I just bought the vintara ii 70s I love the big headstock
Edit: that sounds so so soooooo gay
🤣🤣🤣 Congats on your purchase.
