Do NOT, I repeat, NOT ever use a metal scourer! You will damage the lining irrevokingly! And it should take a 'couple of hours' to defrost! By that time all your ice cream has defrost so, that you cannot refreeze it!
I guess you can survive one weekend without ice cream XD. Or just eat it all at once ;)

In my case because I haven't dealt with the ice in 2 years and 50% of the freezer (a mini freezer in my room) is ice. It's annoying trying to put stuff in there when there is a huge stalactite and stalagmite splitting it in half.
She was still listing off the "things you need" when I got back home with the new fridge... :-)

There was mould underneath my freezer. I live in a rented apartment so who knows how long its been there. I cleaned it up with bleach, but Im wondering if there is any airflow that may have blown the mould/spores through the freezer? I dont want to throw everything out and clean it, but I dont want to eat food that may have been exposed to mould. Theres nothing visible in there.
Shite. I defrosted my fridge after 8 years tonight. I didn't bother with any of these stupid steps. I just turned it off and placed some trays under, and went and watched TV. But then I'm a bloke. Occasionally on my way to the bathroom, I emptied and replaced a few trays!!! The woman in the video looks like she is actually enjoying it!!!!
Did u all notice at 03:10 when she switch on the plug, the red light did'nt turn on? I think she tried to clean the socket too with warm water.

All you need is a bucket for the water and obviously a towel for drying and a steamer to melt the ice it's easy work. There's no need to mess about boiling water with a kettle or keeping food in stupid places just do what i recommend and you'll thank me later.

The only tool you really need to defrost a freezer is a hammer.
I tried sticking my hammer in the freezer, now it's gone all blue, limp & flaccid. Advice please.
*Just use a flathead screw driver and hammer that ice away!*

Some appliances have a defrost setting which can help accelerate the process.

Step one: Buy new freezer
i blue fan at it for 2 hours. Most should clup off.
I USED A QUICK WARM UP YOUR ROOM FAN AT 2000 WATTS AND PUT IT AS NEAR THE FREEZER AS POSSIBLE, AIMING IN THE MIDDLE - TOOK ME LESSER THAN 20 MIN AND AN ADDITIONAL 5 MIN TO CLEAN UP SHITT...

I tried to take out the ice from frosted fridge by knife... I accidently make a hole beneath the ice plate and the gas started to comes out so I immediately switch off the current. Is it dangerous to use fridge ? how to overcome it?

Never use a knife to take out the ice. Use a plastic spatula instead.

That is a fridge, with a bottom freezer - the fridge part is up top.
Those who have fridge in their kitchen definitly knows how to maintain it. No need to list down evything.
You could have just said use a clothe dipped in warm water and smear it on ice. Rest people have brains to deal with melted ice.
I was actually looking for a more technical solution though.
