*Most of us Don't know what we are saying during Salat Al-janaaza ( Burial prayers):*
1- After the First Takbeer: Recite Surat Al-Fatiha.
*1. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem*
*2. Alhamdu lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen*
*3. Ar-Rahmaanir-Raheem*
*4. Maaliki Yawmid-Deen*
*5. Iyyaaka na'budu wa lyyaaka nasta'een*
*6. Ihdinas-Siraatal-Mustaqeem*
*7. Siraatal-lazeena an'amta 'alaihim ghayril- maghdoobi 'alaihim wa lad-daaalleen*
2- *After the Second Takbeer:* Salat Al-Ibrahimiyya to the end, not Salat Fatih pls
*Allaahumma salli 'alaa Muhammadin wa 'alaa 'aali Muhammadin, kamaa sallayta 'alaa 'Ibraaheema wa 'alaa 'aali 'Ibraaheema, 'innaka Hameedun Majeed. Allaahumma baarik 'alaa Muhammadin wa 'alaa 'aali Muhammadin, kamaa baarakta 'alaa 'Ibraaheema wa 'alaa 'aali 'Ibraaheema, 'innaka Hameedun Majeed.*
3- *After the Third Takbeer:* Pray for the dead but according how its narrated from our Prophet (S.A.W). One of them is:
*Allaahum-maghfir lihayyinaa, wa mayyitinaa, wa shaahidinaa, wa ghaa'ibinaa, wa sagheerinaa wa kabeerinaa, wa thakarinaa wa 'unthaanaa. Allaahumma man 'ahyaytahu minnaa fa'ahyihi 'alal-'Islaami, wa man tawaffaytahu minnaa fatawaffahu 'alal-'eemaani, Allaahumma laa tahrimnaa 'ajrahu wa laa tudhillanaa ba'dahu.*
*O Allaah* forgive our living and our dead, those who are with us and those who are absent, our young and our old, our menfolk and our womenfolk. *O Allaah*, whomever you give life from among us give him life in Islam, and whomever you take way from us take him away in Faith. *O Allaah*, do not forbid us their reward and do not send us astray after them.
4- *Then lastly after the Fourth Takbeer:* And you should pray for all Muslims.
5- And lastly end the prayer with one Salaam to the right *(Just once)*.

My grandpa passed away yesterday after maghrib. The mosques are closed and I want to pray the janaza at home for him. Due to corona we can’t go to our home country where he is right now and where he’ll be burried Inshaallah

3rd takbeer
Pray for deceased person with authentic Dua.
4th takbeer
Invocation for entire ummah .
Then salaam.
Full taharah .
Towards qiblah.

What if one takbeer forget by emam in janaza prayer is it valid
Asalaamu Alaykum, I wanted to ask, a lot of people in my culture do something called a “Khatam” after the janaza, where all the men will gather in the mosque for 3 days and the women in a house, and they’ll sit for these 3 days reading Qur’an and they’ll serve food to everyone in the gathering. They’ll even have the seeds of eaten dates where they’ll be reciting something on each of them and placing them in to a bowl.
Also they’ll ask people in the gathering to read a certain Surah or chapter from the Qur’an, a certain amount of times and to inform them once they’ve done so.
So I wanted to ask if there’s anything in the Sunnah about this, because to me this seems like an innovation and something made up.
Yes, as far as making Quran 'khatam', it is an innovation. Allah knows best
What is the point of the funeral prayer?
It will not save a sinner from hellfire...
Right
What is the use of the burial? At the end everyone goes to Allah

@@mariammurad2376 my point was more regarding the funeral prayer. At the point of death the person is informed if they will enter heaven or hell.
@@dontforgetthemessage As human beings we don't know if they are going or not. We should make dua so perhaps they are entered into Jannah. Remember, the human set of knowledge is extremely limited.
This is bidat. Surah fatihah is NOT read in salatul janazah. May Allah SWT give you hidayat.
There is a sahih hadees in sahih bukhaari, and sunun nisai,your hanafi scholar did not tell u about this,please do research first
