This plase is strikingly similar to "Nordåsvannet" (Nårdås lake) in Bergen Norway=) A lake connected to a fjord, i live there and drive a little plastic boat around and out in the Fjord=)

This is the best "commute" to the office I have seen. How many people can go for a swim in the ocean during lunch break? But on the weather we are having, you may need to have a solar powered fan to keep the cabin cool or anchor at some place where you get at lest some afternoon shade.

Well, since my boat is small and I was working. I didn't invite anyone. Yes, the weather was super hot these days I can barely survive in my boat. Good idea to add solar powered fan.

Hi, I also want to buy Antares 7. Could I know how much does it cost in CAD? do you think the boat is safe enough to travel from UBC to Nanaimo?

Brand new is around cad$ 150,000.00. It also depends what options you choose as well. No issue to travel from UBC to Nanaimo, but make sure you check the weather before you go. Don’t go if it’s too windy. It will be a rough ride if too windy and big wave.

love your boat,im interested in purchasing the Antares 7 or Jeanneau NC 695 Series2.Any recommendations?or why you choose the Antares 7

In Vancouver Canada, I don't have a choice coz my dealer didn't carry Jeanneau. There are couple reasons I choose the Antares 7. 1.It is towable and I can put it on my driveway instead of marina moorage. 2. It is just a 25 foot boat but got all I wanted such as a fridge, a full size head, a cooktop and two sinks. 3. It is a hardtop and I can extend my boating season. 4. Outboard engine is quiet than a stern drive. 5. More storage space in the aft. Hope it helps. Btw, I think Beneteau and Jeanneau are the same company but different division.

Do you think the boat is suited for a 5 days long journey with a crew of two people?

Definitely the boat can do long trip for 5 days with two people. I have lots of storage in boat to save food for 5 days. However, if you are going to do this 5 days at sea, then you have to consider using BBQ stove with propane. My cooktop is using battery power and it can only last for an hour with one charge. Marine will work if you stop by for a day or two with shore power.
