Alredy have the PC2 and ill buy the ACC, no discussion needed. We have to enjoy them both, and thank God that we are living such a fantastic time for SIM games!
@@owlie373 i cannot tell you not, if you look it under this perspective... i personally don't like it as game neither, but... when the first Project Cars gas been released, i enjoyed it for more then a while, because it was the first experience i had with racing games ( beside Forza Motorsport ) , but after few months, i tried Rfactor ( the first ) in a house of a friend of mine, and, after that moment i was not able to play Project Cars anymore, because i was Try naturally to drive like in Rfactor, but the game was not allow me to exploit the physic like in the other game, i bought a computer, and now with Assetto Corsa and Rfactor ( still the first, because Rfactor 2 doesn't have rally contents )... i don't have any Need to bit a "game semi sim" like Project Cars 2... i kinda understand that some people like it, but ad a game as you said 😃
One thing I love about pc2 is the drying line and remaining puddles and on storm setting the crosswind pushing the rain sideways but even assetto has better physics so I’m guessing ACC will be better again and pc2 is very forgiving.
@Legio XXI Rapax Correct... ACC has actuall Gforce rain physics simulated or not you can see rain particles moving when on windshield and when you take turns
I like ACC more and it's just pre-alpha footage there. Imagine how much better all the effects will look when final. They stated that rain effects are placeholder as of now.
And more importantly on ACC the physics are better, force feedback will be better and multiplayer should be superior. Graphics are nice in both of them but they really are not that important.
yes, they said that they will take the physics engine from AC and improve it for this title. and AC is next to iracings and rFactors2 physics engine the best that we currently have, so i really am not worried about the physics at all knowing who is at the wheel for this game.
I'd give points to AC here: PCars 2 looks like they pulled a massive sheet of wax paper over the track (you can still tell the track is wet and it looks realistic relative to the game's "artstyle") but AC is a bit more true to life.
funny :) It's clear to me that the guys at Kunos live and work at a track (Vallelunga) and are true petrolheads because they get the sound of the GT3 cockpit pretty much spot on, whereas PC2 has a clunky mix at best. PC2 frustratingly offers a sound mix but the engine and the gear whine and the shifts are all on the same volume mix. Looking forward to more from ACC soon.
+spellcaster39ify Yeah, they even asked Nicki Thiim to take pictures of his Aston Martin GTE the other day. Nicki Thiim did a VLOG on that. You can see it in his channel.
I started with project cars, switched to ac years ago, never went back. In this footage you can see all the extra corrections made with the wheel in ac, in the wet. The true feel is there with ac.

I think , if u play any game separate , is doesn't matter. If u will comparred , PC2 has more detailed graphic, but ACC has better feeling of driving cars ,and sound is also amazing :)
As I always was way more pleased with realism and AI of AC now graphics and sound are (even in a pre alpha) extremely more immerse than I ever wished. Can't wait for it!
Yeah, back in the day ms was driver issue. Regular stutter can be the result of disk activity from other things, etc. MS on the other had was about how well the drivers worked with the game. In some cases it was a direct result of some IQ setting that simply didn't work right. But here's the kicker, if you don't see comparisons like this you won't even know it's there. You will simply adjust to it until you watch a video like this and clearly see one screen is more fluid then the other.
One way you can actually see the microstutter in the water spray from the rear of the cars ahead. It forms a cloud but what it's suppose to do is dissipate. The MS causes it to linger in the air in a unnatural way. Note: At times the water spray seems to actually do what it's suppose to do so you have to watch for it to happen. The other way is to watch the steering wheel on both videos. As the driver turns the wheel it MS's on PC2.
Same here. I have it on xbox one and PC. Looks slightly better on PC and running both at 4k with no stutter I've ever noticed (and I'm picky usually). Looks freaking fantastic.
I agree with Vitors comment, and to also mention, pc2 was out in 2017 with no further graphical updates etc, just left for users to play while the continued focusing on pc3, while acc just came out in 2019, so I do hope it’s better than pc2. Cause if it wasn’t, I’d be wondering a few things, -lus acc continues to update designs, graphics, tracks, weather effects etc... but in short, for us console users. Pc2 has been a life saver, and now that acc is coming too. I’m so stoked. Just not a fan of AC on console.. nor a fan of gt sport... just doesn’t have the realism acc and pc2 share in my eyes,..
I'm a huge PC2 fan (+AC) and I am loving this build up to ACC, dayum it's looking awesome. Very clever from Kunos as well to initially introduce the elements of weather with a restricted car and track list (Blancpain license) . They'll be able to really fine tune the tyre physics without getting bogged down with too many variables (that's the issue with PC2 IMO, SMS bit off a bit too much with the weather+livetrack 3 and the huge amount of varying car/tyre types.)
I prefer the ACC footage. I've always thought PC2's wet weather was too exaggerated. However I think PC2 has the best "Wet road sound", and that the road sound in general in ACC is probably a little loud.
so what if? I don't care about this stuff. I see slideshow and this is brainfuck to my eyes. That's all, if you interpret that your eyes are inferior to mine, so be it.
So far the the details are far more clearer in ACC and the sound is way better than the weird effect in PC2 where the trans whine is just an electric motor and the sound your hearing is from an in game speaker(that's how I could imagine the weird effect).
Water effects on glasses are different... PC2 have rain drops. ACC got view distorcion. But both cases if the car are next to sprays theres no more water splashing on the glasses and no loss of overall view. PC2 looks in mediun rain and ACC light rain. Colors and details are vivid in ACC, PC2 look smooth. Texts of textures on wheel are more readble in ACC. Helmet view has different FOV.
Yes the track is slippery, but not the racing line. It has the same levels of grip I have found. In real life the oils and rubber in the track on the racing line make the dry racing line extremely slippery
Where's the standing water that actually effects driveability in ACC? Why is there a blue filter? Barely any rain drops either. ACC nut huggers out in force
The difference on the sound is just...huge! So alive on AC. I'm thinking on buying one of those games! From this comparison, I just feel that AC seams more realistic, but PC2 have better graphics and particle effects! Can't say about the handling, but from what I can read on the comments, AC is more a sim than PC2, which is something that I prefer... So AC for the buy??
Pcars 2 still looks better I think, though the spray effect coming off the road behind the cars in AC looks good, very real. AC will likely be more "realistic" in terms of having everything laser scanned and perfect to the real world cars and tracks, but I have no doubt that Pcars 2 will still be the better game all round. For the price it has tons of content, fantastic handling, fantastic graphics and lighting, great weather and day/night cycle, and is just all round great value for money. AC will be better for those "purist" sim racers. For those who just enjoy a bit of sim racing alongside other games, and don't devote all their time to it, PC2 will be the better game.
Pretty much this. ACC is easily the highest fidelity sim. Bringing great shame to Iracing. Far better AND doesn't rip the customers off. PC2 is the best all rounder. Better physics and car/track selection than AC. (no i don't give a fuck if you think AC feels better. Feel is not relevant. Math is. PC2 is mathematically more accurate.)
Sim racing is not 'one size fits all'. Some prefer iRacing or PC2 or AC among quite a few others. It's a matter of preference and all racing games count, simcade, sim, arcade and no one has any right to bully others because they prefer a different game.
The water on the windshield goes to PC2. The details of the water on the ground goes to ACC. Both have some good parts and bad parts on the cockpit. Both of them are going to be passable sims. What is going to determine for me which will be played more is the amount of cars/tracks and which one will have mods first.
at 200kph I don't expect to see single drops still but streams of waters, so for me also on this aspect ACC wins. The water clouds in PC2 stick to the cars in unrealistic way too to me.
Geoshot Is that directed at me? Because they've stated at E3 and on Twitter that the rain effects were placeholders for now. It's the same thing for the 3rd person animations in Insurgency sandstorm. Devs do things like that all the time so they can effectively show what the game/engine is capable of even if the work isn't 100% done.
Things I saw was PC2's rain effects look more realistic with the water on the windshield. The steering wheel on AC is super annoying just flipping around all over the place. The road effects on AC looks a lot better the PC2's looks a little too shiny after cars in front of you have already driven over it. Not sure who they have with the AC testing the driving but they had a lot of real drivers help with PC2 making it feel correct.
Both are great but AC has marginally better lighting. The colours look closer to reality. Plus the final game is going to have support for ray tracing which should provide another step up from there
you can see so clearly how laggish pc cars behaves, especially with rain. happy that kudos has something in the pipes, u-engine was (i think) a very good choice! if they can implement the "feel" from the original assetto corsa this is no comparison any more ;)
I like pc2 because ac looks like they put a 2d animated image of the cockpit on top of the outside world. Basically the cockpit in ac looks plastered on while on pc2 you feel like your in the cockpit
ACC Looks absolutely georgous, however I don't think both are played on the same rig with the same settings. Both are really great games, we needed a new Assetto Corsa.
DAMN Aassetto seems to overtake PCARS now in graphics !! Assetto already beats Pcars on the simulation level, so if thye can beat then on the graphic level, will be amazing !
Its clear that ACC has better representation of puddles, rain and water in general, however I don't understand whats with its deep blueish navy color interiors...
Pcars2 seems to be HD and ACC 4K. Or is it just me.. 🙄 A stupid thing in pcars is that when you switch your wiper in position 2 (the faster swipe) they wipe faster, but also..at the same time it rains faster. Position 1, the rain is slow, position 2 it rains faster. Position 1, less water on your windshield, positon 2, more water. Switch between q and 2 and you will notice. Strange tho
I like AC for driving. FFB. But pcars2 I've raced more and there's alot more going on online(ps4). After I upgrade to PC I'm sure AC will be my go-to. But love both for different reasons. So excited about blancpain series though will all the rules/regs will be unbeatable for a racing experience. Now if we could just get an IMSA game :/
To me personally ACC looks more clean... I don't know if it's because of the video but asseto looks more smooth as well. It is less pixely and looks quite clean compared to project cars. Both have very decent graphics but i would go for ACC here.
Can't wait for ACC. Pcars 2 is great fun for casual driving but it has some annoying stuff going on. I can't believe Pcars still does not have that arrow showing where the car behind is. I'm not in a real car so I can't turn my head to look around.
acc excels pc2 in every way except content. Acc have better sounds, better physics, better graphics because that is the importance of concentrating on one series, pc2 is decent sim overall but as saying goes a jack of all trades master of none. These are really good times when you can have such a good variety of sims.
Hard to tell until ACC officially hits the market. Way too many variables involved to strictly judge by a video. The only thing I'm skeptical about is the amount of cars and tracks ACC will have since it's limited to the Blancpain series. Curious how many seasons they'll cover. Still too many unknowns. No modding is also a negative, but time will tell.
for this tearing problem I have used everything , I tested on my 1080ti and also on my friends pc with 1060 and same happens , Also I have ultrawide monitor at 75hz and also try it on diferent monitor , all these graphical problems are there :(
Project cars 2 car physics and handling is not good. I liked AC overall but graphics was average. I hope ACC final release will play and look FANTASTIC🔥
Only in the road cars. PC2 has far better physics than AC when it comes to race cars. Actual weather, live track, much better tire modeling, and more. AC is old and outdated. You may like its less accurate physics and handling better, but it isn't more accurate. Let's see if ACC steps up to the plate.
I have seen people claim that. I know PC2 has tire flex. I know PC2 has live track. Please explain to me what what AC does better than PC2? Enough this fanboying "it just is" bullshit. AC has better overall car modeling. So it may feel like AC has better physics because not all the cars in PC2 are properly modeled. But that has nothing to do with the physics system. Just means road cars didn't have much time spent on them.
There's at least one oddity in Pcars2 physics, you're able to roll cars with downforce easily if you just steer from side to side fast and hard enough at speed. I don't think real cars would do that, it's like there's too much traction.
ACC looks fake, poor texture lighting, poor directional environmental lighting. Looks like a video game, but its not fair to compare alpha to a released game.
both graphics look nice & clear anyway but i don't care too much about that.. the handling of the car in AC is millions times better than car handling in PC2 that's the essence in racing games..
Alredy have the PC2 and ill buy the ACC, no discussion needed. We have to enjoy them both, and thank God that we are living such a fantastic time for SIM games!
The sound of asseto corsa is amazing. Its like a real driving.
i agree with you ;)
I will probably play both games :D Epic times - no need to fight over which is better! Just enjoy man!!
IT's a comparison and ACC takes the cake
I have PCars2 on Xbox One. It’s kind of hard to get going on a controller at first, but with some tweaks, it gets better.
I really do want AC Competizione on PC, though, because I have the original and love it!
Seeing as how ACC is only GT3, I will most likely go back to PC2 after a bit of it.
Andy Wan It's a mixed bag, as is PC2. Raceroom has better sounds.
I have no problem like you guys,I like both games..And I like GT SPORT,and FORZA7,iRACEING,RACEROOM...Have a nice day...
I did not even find time yet to properly enjoy PC2 and now this is coming... Lord give me time!
It's the modern gaming world baby...
Good, so you can easily forget the bad experienceof Pc2 😂😂😂
PC2 its a great game and excellent gaming experience

won't play Iracing even if u pay me to, rF2 and AMS are far better, along side ACC n PC2 .....and GTR3
Kamel Kadri cause you haven't really played iRacing. LOL! PCars 2 is NFS Shift on Steroids. Lol

totally unfair! its pre-alpha vs never ending beta!
pre-alpha regarding the rain physics, graphically it's not going to change, mostly because it's already perfect
we dont care, and in anycase we know that : it is written at the beginning of the video, not a secret !
funny :) It's clear to me that the guys at Kunos live and work at a track (Vallelunga) and are true petrolheads because they get the sound of the GT3 cockpit pretty much spot on, whereas PC2 has a clunky mix at best. Does anyone also think the translation near the end of the video on pcars2 is wrong? Ps where can you get the latest build?
Never thought I'd see the day that Assetto corsa gave Project cars a run for its money
The color palette of ACC really pulls off a photorealistic feel
PC2 doesn't have brake light reflections off the track? Gotta say it looks pretty cool on AC.
ACC is more smoother while PC2 has microstutter. I haven't used the term microstutter in a long time. I wish I could see the frametimes.
Im using 100 fps capped atm , usually 125 fps... Since i sit on 1080p till i get a new monitor.. Steady 10.00 ms with 100 fps
Maybe try another harddrive tbh.. I don't get it why people have microstutter.. Can be few things that causing it though.
Yeah, back in the day ms was driver issue. Regular stutter can be the result of disk activity from other things, etc. MS on the other had was about how well the drivers worked with the game. In some cases it was a direct result of some IQ setting that simply didn't work right.

Why is everything Blue in AC
How are you getting a rain in or assetto Corsa
hope assetto applied safety cars, yellow flag, red flags, slow zone etc.
it's supported by Blancpain.. count on it. (in addition to real world car data and physics)
That'll be a huge improvement, since i found most of the sim racing game to lack many crucial rule. As for safety car, it should be an option.

Fanatec if ur looking for mid range performance and price
I prefer the ACC footage. I've always thought PC2's wet weather was too exaggerated. However I think PC2 has the best "Wet road sound", and that the road sound in general in ACC is probably a little loud.
Amazing time to be a sim racing fan! Arcade too!!! :D
are both games running on unreal 4 engine? I just dont remember right now lol
Love them both for different reasons
I'm a simple guy. I watched only the right side. :)))
Alex Bors a simple and smart guy
makes sense, since left side is about 30 fps or less. Eyes hurt from that :D
so what if? I don't care about this stuff. I see slideshow and this is brainfuck to my eyes. That's all, if you interpret that your eyes are inferior to mine, so be it.

Assetto corsa looks better already , and being the official blancpain gt game ? Certainly enticing , Project cars 2 is one hell of a game though
I like both PC2 and AC
I wish assetto corsa looked like the latest Forza in the wet and grand tourismo in the dry while retaining physics.
In Pc2 the racing line doesn't get slippery when wet, do we have this in ACC?
it does get slippery to me ! still can manage to race though unlike PC1 when it's wet its impossible to drive
Yes the track is slippery, but not the racing line. It has the same levels of grip I have found. In real life the oils and rubber in the track on the racing line make the dry racing line extremely slippery

Not sure what method of sound recording was used but ACC sounds way better than pc2 when using headphones.

Pretty much this.

they both look good AC has work to be done yet so for now its Very Promising looking
i hope ac is an actual fully featured game this time around as opposed to a grossly raw tech demo that happens to have good driving physics.
Sim racing is not 'one size fits all'. Some prefer iRacing or PC2 or AC among quite a few others. It's a matter of preference and all racing games count, simcade, sim, arcade and no one has any right to bully others because they prefer a different game.

The rain effects on acc are placeholders.
You know this how? Don't just make stuff up - Both are great and amazing games and neither need someone lying about it in it's defence.

finally ACC got competive graphic as pcar 2 does
I hope for better VR support in ACC comparable to PC2. Navigating the menus in VR is a pain in the ass in AC.
i hope there will be more rain droplets on window in the final game
Assetto Corsa Sound effects it's really really good.
great vid are both sims availabil for ps 4
This everything doesn't matter to me if there will be no lap times standings in ACC
both looks great

When does ACC comes out?
Nobody knows. Early Access starts this summer (I'm guessing July), but it will have very limited content and WIP features
2018 august/september
Source for august/september? Marco Massarutto said it will be playable for public in Misano 22-24 June and "early access released not long after"
it was already playable for public in LA, cant wait too. Will see.
AC wet track affects look very convincing. PC2 track reflections need more work IMO.
ACC is amazing and looks better but the difference is not huge, it's a great time to be alive, so many good options out there.
you can see so clearly how laggish pc cars behaves, especially with rain. happy that kudos has something in the pipes, u-engine was (i think) a very good choice! if they can implement the "feel" from the original assetto corsa this is no comparison any more ;)

ACC certainly looks promising.
I hope they add more cars from different classes, cuz that's where PC2 shines imho.
This is where the games are different,
ACC Looks absolutely georgous, however I don't think both are played on the same rig with the same settings. Both are really great games, we needed a new Assetto Corsa.
While PC2 has miles ahead in light system, rains effects, and graphics optimization, ACC is for Physics and FFB.
Shift 4 looks pretty good.
If you got your pedal to the floor thats all that matters. Just avoid that road head while on the track.
DAMN Aassetto seems to overtake PCARS now in graphics !!
Assetto already beats Pcars on the simulation level, so if thye can beat then on the graphic level, will be amazing !
PC2 is great, but damn, the car sounding (engine, clutch, gearbox, exhaust) is horrible on every single car ! :D
Its clear that ACC has better representation of puddles, rain and water in general, however I don't understand whats with its deep blueish navy color interiors...
Is Competizione just Asseto Corsa with better graphics or is there an upgrade to Assetto Corsa's excellent physics.
t
It's a new game based on the Blancpain gt series.
Upgrade to Physics as well.
Pcars2 seems to be HD and ACC 4K. Or is it just me.. 🙄
A stupid thing in pcars is that when you switch your wiper in position 2 (the faster swipe) they wipe faster, but also..at the same time it rains faster.
Asseto corsa looks amazing for an old game
It looks like ACC recording is taken in higher fps, kinda unfair
Luckily for us, it is not fabricated. Watch Sim Pit's vlog in E3. This is THE EXACT gameplay at (I think at the least) 60 FPS. Good times ahead!
ACC need more road cars and tracks such Highlands
To me personally ACC looks more clean... I don't know if it's because of the video but asseto looks more smooth as well. It is less pixely and looks quite clean compared to project cars. Both have very decent graphics but i would go for ACC here.
Can't wait for ACC. Pcars 2 is great fun for casual driving but it has some annoying stuff going on. I can't believe Pcars still does not have that arrow showing where the car behind is. I'm not in a real car so I can't turn my head to look around.
It has ... you just need to switch it on ;)
So I'm going to search it one more time... damn
It's in the settings -> Gameplay -> right tab (sorry, use the German version, so I don't know how its showed in English)
Thank you I found it. Sometimes I fail using these in-game menus. I think I have been missing this On screen menu completely :D
I'm not in a real car either but I can look around ...or behind me
The developers of PC2 seem thay don't know how a turbo engine sounds and even the shifting time of a race car
acc excels pc2 in every way except content. Acc have better sounds, better physics, better graphics because that is the importance of concentrating on one series, pc2 is decent sim overall but as saying goes a jack of all trades master of none. These are really good times when you can have such a good variety of sims.
ACC has a much higher detail when it comes to the wet track surface already, The cockpit is just pure sexy.
PC2 was way better than PC1 but all these problems on graphics like lagging tearing and texture shadows pop ups makes me want to stop playing it.
Me too...
for this tearing problem I have used everything , I tested on my 1080ti and also on my friends pc with 1060 and same happens , Also I have ultrawide monitor at 75hz and also try it on diferent monitor , all these graphical problems are there :(
Is this PC2 you talking about? It's fine for me with my 1080Ti tbh.
I'm in Xbox, that hasn't happened to me before
can u plese share your settings monitor and fps ?
Empate técnico!!
Wylie28 What? Physics of PCars2 are ahead of AC? That's bullshit
Ive never rolled a car in PC2. Ill have to give that a try.
Todavia no se pueden comparar ya q no esta completo el juego...la lluvia de assetto no se nota en el cristal...
AC is 60fps there is no comparison
you are showing pre-alpha version of Assetto corsa competizione.. .. just a heads up. i.e. unfinished
AC is more realistic, but i like both
Asseto has better cocpit view ( in terms of visibility )
ACC sounds better and the game appears to run a lot smoother (esp. in the corners) by this comparison
Holy crab cakes! Does this look better than Project Cars 2?
Yes , it does!
they seem equal to me
Both are impressive but personally I like the ACC look better
ACC looks fake, poor texture lighting, poor directional environmental lighting. Looks like a video game, but its not fair to compare alpha to a released game.
Is it a newer game with an unreal engine and a million dollar company behind it while pc2 was crowdfunded? Yes, it is
Olny confirming what everybody nows: Asseto Corsa >>> Project Cars
both graphics look nice & clear anyway but i don't care too much about that.. the handling of the car in AC is millions times better than car handling in PC2 that's the essence in racing games..
Assetto Corsa, no doubt!
Project Cars 2 - nice sound.
ACC - nice physics.
Dude what? Project cars 2 sucks balls in comparison to acc
Two greats games!
