As someone who has always been sad about living in Tulsa, this makes me happy to see that there is something that we are good for. I love Knit Stars! All of the ladies that work there are so sweet and helpful! And R-Bar right next door has THE BEST ginger margaritas for those of you who can drink. 100% recommend!
I love when you talk about your mom. I think we can all see she was a special person by the way you talk about her. I think it's amazing that someone wanted to name a colorway after her. That's so touching and special ❤
Hi Aro! I don't think I mentioned, my grandson is Korean! (adopted) And I love him to bits. He's going to college in the fall. I love your UA-cam podcasts.
Sorry, I should have watched your podcast to the end where you featured and talked more about Korean dishcloth! Sorry. Loved your podcast - so much beautiful knitting and yarns!
I’m not going to knit with acrylic yarns for my grandchildren but I am going to make sure it’s washable for their moms and dads. I do not want to put in all the work and not have them wear it because it’s hand wash only. Some projects need super wash yarn.
So much beautiful yarn and lovely projects to enjoy, as always! Such a delight! I really loved the videos about the two stores. They are both outstanding! I was so glad to get to see them!
Aro Leo vibes *as she sits in front of a shelf of whites*: “Ali, if you watch this, can you do a white? I want a white.” 🤣 I love your attention to color details!
I am so with you on the rustic yarn. I just can't wear it. I have knitted a couple garments with it, and I do not wear them at all. Thanks for sharing your makes with us :)
Very sweet of your brother to purchase you an early birthday present. Yarn is the way to our hearts 😅. What a beautiful color to name after your mother ❤
I think this is the first podcast I’ve watched of yours.....Of course , understand it’s fun to buy new yarns😅😊, however, I’m honestly just wondering, if you ever knit with the yarns in your background ? Or is that just for decor purposes ?! It’s a beautiful site ❤
I want to know how many sweaters you have and how many you wear. Not meant snarkily, I just think it would be and amazing thing to see all you’ve made. You are such a prolific knitter and find you so enjoyable to watch.
There is a youtuber/yarn dyer who proved that most of the "environmental impacts" about SW vs non SW are actually myths! The true part is the amount of water used in processing the SW yarn, but there is environmental requirements around treating that (my degree is in civil engineering) that I understand that most people don't so its also not as bad as "yarn snobs" make it sound. So no shame in using SW! Also you use a lot of mohair and that is a "non superwash". I am allergic to lanoline and so tired of people saying I need to figure out a way to use NonSW but get mad when I say I do, I use plant based!
Your blanket is going to be stunning! Love all the colours. Lovely to hear about the knits that you and your friends do together, how nice to have such a great little group.
I get your obsession with the moon sets! Just finished the moon set tee and bought yarn for another one yesterday! Love your blanket. Those colors are👌Thank you for another great episode🥰
Aro, what an episode! The Tulsa Yarn shop…….. my jaw just dropped when I saw that space! Thanks for sharing that. And how very cool to have a yarn named for your mom, that is super special for you! ClaudiaSJI
Beautiful, Aro. Bless your mom. Her colorway is stunning. Question, if you are out and see a yarn you love (which I know happens :), what is your go to amount to buy a sweater quantity-let's say in DK? Enjoy your yarns, SW and Non-SW. xo
Yay, Tulsa! Yay, Knit Stars! Also, the Italian restaurant across the street is fabulous. And if you do take a trip to Tulsa, beautiful Skiatook Lake in Sperry is not far away. We stayed a couple nights there right before we got married and it was super nice and relaxing, even in December. 😊 Yarn, a lake, an amazing park (The Gathering Place)-what more could you want?! And yay, Moondrake! Rachelle is so nice!
OMG I’ve been a viewer for a long time. I’ve heard you talk about Oklahoma, but never really gave it a second thought. I agree that Tulsa is a beautiful city. I absolutely love it there. I live in rural southeast Oklahoma. I definitely know where Poteau is as well. It’s a gorgeous part of our state!
love all the yarn and items in here omg! small detail that i as an autistic person noticed, when you mentioned your brother is autistic you said he is "high functioning", i want to come across as friendly as possible here because i don't want to be rude i just want to educate. high- and low-functioning labels are outdated, they signify a more linear spectrum of "more autistic" to "less autistic" and that is untrue as autism is such a diverse condition and every individual is so vastly different. almost all autistic people agree that autism is more of a round pie-chart kind of spectrum where the individual's needs are signified as higher or lower levels of that specific need such as sensory sensitivities and social skills. it's a very cool topic to research, i suggest you look it up! very interesting rabbit hole that i've gone down a few times. anyways, this is just to say that i want to educate as many people as possible and get people to use the right terms for their autistic loved ones! (also, jealous that your brother bought you a sweaters quantity of mohair and wool, my brother would never LOL)
I love the story of your older brother's birthday present for you. in my experience with autistic people it almost seems like the most classic autistic thing to do though. Just kinda being like "oh right! 30th birthdays are supposed to be a big deal, right?" and then just matter of factly gifting you something that means so much to you like it was nothing
Thanks for the pain reminder, I just stopped knitting now because I have a five hour handwritten exam tomorrow and I should probably rest my wrist in preparation 👍
why are your videos so bright? i can’t watch them at night because they hurt my eyes, but it’s only your channel /: it’s a shame because they’re good sleepy videos
another wonderful episode, I really enjoy watching you. My Noni (Italian for "little grandmother") had a saying "Opinions are like noses, almost everyone has them and they come in all shapes and sizes". You not only eloquently share your opinions but do so in such a way that is friendly and informative. You definitely take other peoples feeling into account also which I find endearing.

I can sing about the glory of TSA pre-check! No one will ever give a second look at your needles again. It's worth every penny!

Next time you come to knitstars I would love to meet up! I am in Tulsa :-)
Your mom sounds like a very special person. Take care of yourself this Sunday 💐
Having just gotten to 10 days post carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand (dominant), please take good care of yourself.

It was great seeing you. I love how your Lento and shawl blend together. Such lovely colors. The stegosaurus Matteo picked out is adorable, too. ❤❤
That was so cool of her to name the yarn after your Mom. And such a beautiful color.
Love the moondrake yarns, they are so you!! Looking forward to seeing them knit up ❤🎉

thank you for taking us on a knitting tour!
Inspired by all of your knits. You making me really want to cast on the moonset top. Thanks for sharing!

BTW It's me again. They have only been to Korea, once when he was 14.
What are Korean dishcloths? Can you make them? Buy them???
Do you like cotton for summer
Will you ever return to the true crime and knitting vids? ❤

Hi Aro ! I'm not far from Poteau ! Wish I could have met you
Hi Kim! Wow what a small world! I go visit a couple times a year at least - it would be so nice to meet a fellow knitter there!
Not me knitting on my Morning Ritual top while watching this and then freaking out when it gets mentioned in the video
Aro yarn is my love language too 😆
Thanks for the pain reminder, I just stopped knitting now because I have a five hour handwritten exam tomorrow and I should probably rest my wrist in preparation 👍
Hi Aro! Do you have an email for brand partnerships? Would love to chat abut a crafty content partnership, thank you!
She said she got some weird comments on those videos so she stopped doing them 😠 I liked them too
why are your videos so bright? i can’t watch them at night because they hurt my eyes, but it’s only your channel /: it’s a shame because they’re good sleepy videos
You can adjust your brightness on your phone
